Putin - Russia Will Begin Partial Mobilization Immediately

Vladimir Putin spoke to the Russian nation after the declaration that the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics will be holding referendums from Sept.23 to Sept. 27 to unite with Russia. If Ukraine wanted to keep its nation intact, then they should have complied with the Minsk II agreement, but instead they tried to kill and ethnically cleanse half of Ukraine of its inhabitants if they didn't succumb to a cultural suicide by denying their language, heritage and even their Church affiliation.

The 8 year genocide of the people in the Donbass and Lugansk regions were ignored by the West while they covered it up with lies and propaganda in the media and turned the victims into the perpetrators, and the perpetrators into the victims.

People who haven't had any military training in years are being rounded up to be used as fodder.

It will not change the outcome but it will raise the costs for both Russia and Ukraine. Even if the Russians some how conquers all of Ukraine then traditional counter insurgency doctrine says Russia will need 2 million troops to effectively occupy all of Ukraine. Russia will not be able to sustain that indefinitely. It will be like Afghastan which the USSR already lost in.

Further more just putting in meat shields is unlikely to help them all that much. Using former poorly trained conscripts who ended their conscription period up to a decade ago does not a stormtrooper make especially when they are now pushing 40 with a bad back. They will not have advanced M.O.S. training and the few that do will be out of practice by years, up to a decade. Further more most will not want to serve and if forced will resent being forced to be there. Lastly, Russia cannot give basic equipment to their existing force yet they are supposed to provide basic equipment to 300,000 new forced conscripts? It will not happen and, no, giving nontrained tank crews an obsolete 1964 T-64 tank, which has been siting in a field in Siberia for 40 years without any maintenance. It does put warm bodies in units but they will only be useful as very marginal defensive units. Offensive capability will be near nonexistent. It will be like lambs to the slaughter.

 

Putin wants to dominate Ukraine and we in the west oppose this, so he accuses us of trying to "preserve our dominance." What a tool.

According to Defense Minister Shoigu, Russia will call up 300,000 men which is a little more than 1% of its full military potential.

Putin said that the move is sensible since Russia is fighting “the entire Western military machine" in Ukraine and signed an order for a partial military mobilization of its military reservists and those who have completed national service. They will be provided with additional training, along with all the benefits due to people involved in active duty.

I have heard many officials in the West saying they wanted to break up Russia and steal its wealth, but I have yet to hear any Russian say they wanted to break up the US or EU. Have you?

Putin just officially expanded the war. The good countries of the world NATO and friends need to send more and more deadly weapons to the good guys of Eastern Europe aka Ukrainians.

If he was conscripted before it was announced, then maybe it was for another reason.

Anyway, I know that the West has been pushing Russia for a full conscription so that its industries would slow down, but Moscow refuses to succumb to the provocations. The men who are being called are only a little more than 1% of Russia's full military potential.

Up until now, the fighting has been done by the armies of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics with Russia providing logistics and air power. Basically, the same as was done in Syria, since men are always more dedicated when they're fighting for their own homes and lands. In addition, there was the Chechyan volunteers who are well trained in urban fighting. Kadyrov said they're going back into Ukraine now to help free Karkov and Odessa.

It would go over a lot worse if Putin stood by and didn't do anything about the killings and maiming of Russian civilians in Donetsk and Lugansk - including children. Besides, he knows that the West wants a protracted war to destroy and grab Russia's wealth, so why not break up Ukraine before Zalensky gets a chance to kill off the rest of his Ukrainian conscripts? Someone will be needed to farm the lands when Soros and the multi national corporations are kicked out.

They are sending people who have office jobs conscription letters.

People who served in the military in the past, but haven't had any type of training since they got out of the military, are getting conscription letters. Many of these people have been out of the military for 10+ years. Many of them are not in any physical condition to be going to war, much less trained military personnel in any meaningful sense.

If these people represent any percentage of Russia's military capacity, Russia is doomed.
