Jan. 6 Protest Organizers Say They Participated in ‘Dozens’ of Planning Meetings With Members of Congress and White House Staff

Two sources are communicating with House investigators and detailed a stunning series of allegations to Rolling Stone, including a promise of a “blanket pardon” from the Oval Office

As the House investigation into the Jan. 6 attack heats up, some of the planners of the pro-Trump rallies that took place in Washington, D.C., have begun communicating with congressional investigators and sharing new information about what happened when the former president’s supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol. Two of these people have spoken to Rolling Stone extensively in recent weeks and detailed explosive allegations that multiple members of Congress were intimately involved in planning both Trump’s efforts to overturn his election loss and the Jan. 6 events that turned violent.

Rolling Stone separately confirmed a third person involved in the main Jan. 6 rally in D.C. has communicated with the committee. This is the first report that the committee is hearing major new allegations from potential cooperating witnesses. While there have been prior indications that members of Congress were involved, this is also the first account detailing their purported role and its scope. The two sources also claim they interacted with members of Trump’s team, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, who they describe as having had an opportunity to prevent the violence.

Other elected officials reportedly attended the meetings:

    - Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.)
    - Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.)
    - Mo Brooks (R-Ala.)
    - Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.)
    - Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.)
    - Louie Gohmert (R-Texas)
    - Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Georgia)

.... All with the promise of a pardon from Trump if things went wrong.

The Commission is investigating these allegations and I truly hope that justice will strike at those responsible for this attempted insurrection.... including Trump.

I knew this was coming. The left was always going to pressure someone to fabricate some coordination myth. I even posted about this eventuality. So, called it.

ROLLING STONE. Yes, about the only ragtag in the country that runs with false allegations and calls itself a newspaper. You'd think after rape-gate they'd have learned their lesson, but no. It's basically the Left's Daily News(UK), it's a joke. Let me drag you into reality: The FBI already investigated matters of collusion related to 1/6. The idea that encrypted congressional communications for example wouldn't be picked up is a joke.

Why is there a commission investigating list it's a protest that's a constitutional guaranteed right.

He only allowed to protest it's black lives matter?

Yes, the protest organizers coordinated with supportive officials. This is -and has been- known. The vast majority of attendees did not cross that line from protest to rioter, and unless they've finally charged some folks with 'insurrection', none of them crossed that line (or else why arent they charged after nearly a YEAR?).

So suddenly its a 'scandal' that political protesters had some political support? What a load. Clearly the 'investigation' to find the 'insurrectionists' isn't going well, given this new shifting of the goal posts. The neverending witch hunt continues...

Conservatives talk a good game about 'responsibility', but they only assign it & never take it. No matter what they do, no matter how bad, it is never their fault. They never do anything wrong. It is ANTIFA, the FBI, black people, illegals, Democrats. All the bad stuff is someone else.

The level of fanaticism required to believe that Trumpers were not responsible for Jan.6 and that any who did get into Congress were just 'tourists' is the sort of thing you usually see in movements opposed to democracy....which sadly fits wiht the trajectory of the current GOP.

Democrats control the whole shebang yet can't get diddly-squat done while they waste everyone's time desperately seeking something, ANYTHING to hang on Trump....sorta' like the Nazis diverting critical resources from the fronts to keep the camps operating in high gear....WORKS FOR ME! :roflol:

Their majority is weak. They could easily lose it in 2022 and they know that.

That's what's referred to as checks and balances.

To overturn an election illegally isn't a right guaranteed by the Constitution.

And the MAGA have long since outgrown BLM's dangerousness.

Yeah that's right some guy putting his feet on Nancy pelosi's desk is far more dangerous than burning down supermarkets and killing people.

If this were really the case, the right would not need to maintain the lie that elections are rigged.

The truth is that the Right's demographic weight is getting smaller and smaller with each cycle and you don't know how to get back in control.

Meh, democrats did all the way up to 2020 but hypocrisy is rife in politics and the politicians right and left rely on the partisan useful idiots to buy in hook, line, and sinker.

One would be best served to retain some skepticism when it comes to politics.

That's why they don't. Nobody in this country not even you believes that a reanimated corpse won 80 million votes. I'm just honest about it.
This is wishful thinking it doesn't reflect reality. Donald Trump got more votes than any other Republican in the history of our country that's not getting smaller. It's the opposite

This story is being run on other major news networks, including the Hill and PBS, so I don't want to hear 'left wing rag' complaints.

Looks like 1/6 was a vast conspiracy of explosive proportions with Trump and his minions including some congresspersons.

“I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene specifically,” the organizer says. “I remember talking to probably close to a dozen other members at one point or another or their staffs.”

Protesting an election to overturn it is. Gore did it. Planning a protest rally is entirely legal but the hysterical are conflating legal activity with violence for the gullible and to make war on political opposition.

Not surprised you are triggered by sloppy reporting. Organizing a protest rally at the ellipse is not illegal. Well maybe this admin will make free speech illegal.
