Neither Russia nor China agonizes and gets spun-up about anything involving being 'politically correct', Dairy. They pursue paths that they believe are good for themselves with determination and no need to be 'apologetic' to anyone else about anything.

China forges ahead with their highly-successful initiative they call "Belt and Road", and they're making it work across all of Asia, and from South Africa, all the way up into Europe. Russia leverages their enormous energy business and manage to make their way successfully in spite of all our 'sanctions' against them. They focus on their important national goals, and then work straight toward accomplishing them!

We, by contrast, fight each other, tooth-and-nail, fighting over laughably insignificant crap involving hypersensitivity to mostly imaginary 'racism', police brutality, endless political witch hunts, etc., etc.

Truly, Dairy, from every perspective, it looks like China and Russia are doing nearly everything right, and we are doing nearly everything WRONG....

Wow, you would make a brilliant detective, surely you must be the head of the CIA. What gave me away? Was it the words "send the money to my British account" or perhaps "willing to give Trump my support from afar." ? I tried so hard to hide where I lived!

Racism my ass. The racism was having something like 95% of Blacks voting for him. The racism was calling anyone who disagreed with him a racist. We even had local Blacks who wanted anyone who opposed his policies to be declared a terrorist. You think Trump causes division? You obviously didn't pay much attention to what Obama said or did to set race relations back 50 years.

Actually, it's more a reflection of the way younger Americans see that Archie Bunkerism of the old angry white crowd that has coalesced around the jingoism, flagrant racism, stupidity of Donald Trump.

They don't need "liberal academia" to form that impression.

All they have to do is watch Trump deny and betray all the values that make up "American exceptionalism", and embarrass and weaken us on the world stage.

They see what the world sees.

So, maybe this far right wing group did the GOP a favor, pointing out that not only is demographics not favoring the GOP (or Trump) of today, but it also draws a line under the fact that the GOP is way out of step with their expectations for tomorrow.

But I doubt it. After all, Fox Noise presented it to its reactionary audience in it's usual "younger people don't share our backwards world view and prejudices", how awful!!!!!!

Ridiculous. I'm teaching my son (in addition to his public education) that America is the greatest country ever designed and that the past 2 years are just a speed bump on our historical road. Once Trump is gone, American will once again regain our spot as the most respected throughout the world and the racism he exhibits and promotes will once again be forced back in the closet.

I hate to sound like a typically bitter, old fart who simply disparages the 'younger generation' because he has less and less in common with them. I remember all too well what it was like to be young during the Vietnam War, and all the misery and stupidity that OLDER generations inflicted on MY generation back then, and for really no good reason at all....

Still, it seems true to me that both Millennials and Gen Z'ers are almost hopelessly misinformed and ignorant -- mostly because they weren't TAUGHT anything in the public schools. It's not that they're stupid, per se; but how can anyone formulate thoughts if they aren't taught to THINK about anything but trivial, momentary crap? My perception is that most of younger people (say, under about 35) have mentalities that have been cultivated to be "a mile wide, but no more than an inch deep".

Now they mostly play with their little friends on social media, demonstrating 'knowledge' of simple hand-held devices and the trivial, inconsequential, transitory nonsense that constitute this milieu's "depth and breadth". Worse, they haven't been prepared to actually DO anything of any use -- for 'the world', or even for THEMSELVES....

They can be lead to believe nearly anything if their little friends believe it, too (thus, being "cool"). They can even be lead to believe that Barack Obama was the best president, instead of surely being one of the five WORST. They will come to understand this in the next 10 - 15 years when they are given new instruction and demonstrations of this fact... by the Russians and Chinese....

But mutt dogs have no loyalty and aren't disciplined and always want free food and poop all over the place.

Dogs were bred for taking on missions and being good at it, be it hunting, herding, guard dogs, racing, or just being a loyal companion.

When a mutt dog is found to be good at something, then they are bred as a breed.

LOL President Washington used to complained that his slaves did not work hard enough for free and he send one of his slaves to a fast death by selling him to work in the sugar fields of the Caribbeans as a warning to others.

As President he misused his power also by sending government employees secretly on a hunt for one of his wife slaves.

It would seems that you and Washington also had a lot in common in wishing to shipping off anyone who dare to disagree with you to other nations to face likely death.

Which should suggest, we work with them, and not against them.
They will forge the new global world, with or without us. We can lead, follow, or stay out of the way. But globalisation is going to happen.
As of now, we are in protection mode and we will be left out.

We had been participants in the new world order. We were at the head of the table in the talks and negotiations. We are not sitting on the sidelines while the rest of the world forges new relationships and trade deals.
Did we get some bad deals? Perhaps. But our country has continued to grow and prosper. IMO, yes, the corporations gained the most and the workers took it in the teeth. But that was 25 yrs ago, things were starting to come back to this country. As other countries wages rise, our fell, and an equalibrium was shaping.

Don't tell the chinese and japanese that though. They'd likely laugh you into the ground.

Yep, radio hurt the new generation.
    TV hurt the new generation.
The computer hurt the new generation
The internet hurt the new generation
The phones hurt the new generation.

    Yet, society moves on.

    Exactly.

Why does the RW have to turn a thread about a Millennial Poll into a blanket attack on Mixed Breed Dogs?

Does the RW have any shame?

I mean, I know that Trump has done a number on "civility", but now the RW has been reduced to attacking Mixed Breed Dogs?:smfh:

And back on topic, Millennials (as a group) are historically challenged.

Our tools and mechanisms don't ruin us, Dairy, but our USES of them can -- especially when we aren't taught any better, and we live lives that do not encourage circumspect, in-depth thinking about anything but which button to click on next....

Hm... reading above and comparing with

    - 38% of younger Americans do not agree that “America has a history that we should be proud of”

    - One in eight (14%) of millennials agree that “America was never a great country and it never will be”

    - 46% of younger Americans agree that “America is more racist than other countries”

    - 84% of Americans do not know the specific rights enumerated in the First Amendment

    - 19% of millennials believe that the American flag is “a sign of intolerance and hatred”

    - 44% of younger Americans believe Barack Obama had a “bigger impact” on America than George Washington

Seems like your disenchantment with America only happened during last 30 years or so... which means you only see the truth in the last Obama line... right? :)

The overall impression of these "younger Americans" is that they just can't WAIT for the United States of America to be completely transformed into just another 'shithole' country, down on our knees, sputtering our apologies to everyone while we grovel in our shame and "racism" guilt.

These "younger Americans" will be rewarded in their delusional aspirations by achieving EXACTLY what they want. Russia and China will make certain that they do....

Name me just one first or a second world country on the Dark Continent? Any?

There was one (you know which) but the Whites are fleeing it, so it's no more.

But of course Obama was greater than Washington. He stopped the seas from rising, united the country and got his Nobel before having a chance to do anything. And he was the first mainstream African-American who is articulated, bright and clean and a nice-looking guy!

Washington got majority of his honors postmortem. And he was a slaveowner!
