Cuomo and Bloomberg are more moderate democrats, so you can't pin their decision on all democrats, and is a lot more pro-business than most democrats. As you can see in your own article, many democrats are protesting the decision. I don't remember mobs and antifa protesting tax cuts, they mostly likely appear when protesting social issues and what they believe to be racism and facism.

As a moderate myself, I am fine when tax cuts are used strategically for maximum benefit, and this certainly does fit the bill. On the other hand, its not fair that these huge corporations will get preferential treatment, while small businesses have to fend for themselves.

Part of the issue is that companies will move to states with the lower taxes and the most qualified workers. This means that if a state raises taxes on the rich because they are taking most of the wealth, or to implement universal healthcare, or to fund higher education, they are risking that their richer residents will leave, and the poor people who are benefitted by these programs will move in.

Because of this state taxes are regressive and the poor pay a higher percentage, and states don't have a good track record of trying out new ideas, because they are limited by a taxpayer base that could move away. If a state tried to make tariffs on foreign products for example, people will move out if prices go up, for example. With states, people can easily move into a state if they are benefitted by its policies, and move out if they don't like it. With countries, its very difficult to move in and out so its easier to implement ambitious ideas without fear of the wrong people moving in and out.

    "Liberal Bashing"?

It is actually liberals, among others who are bashing corrupt Democrats pols like Cuomo, his ilk and their crooked capitalist cronies - like Bezos/Amazon.

“We’ve been getting calls and outreach from Queens residents all day about this. The community’s response? Outrage,” Ocasio-Cortez, who officially takes office in January, tweeted.

The 29-year-old went on to say: “Amazon is a billion-dollar company. The idea that it will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks at a time when our subway is crumbling and our communities need MORE investment, not less, is extremely concerning to residents here.”

"In another tweet, Ocasio-Cortez wrote: “Displacement is not community development. Investing in luxury condos is not the same thing as investing in people and families. Shuffling working class people out of a community does not improve their quality of life.”

    Simmer down.

It's hypocricy because Democrsts squealed like pigs when the taxpayers that paid most of the taxes got most of the tax cuts. Now it's the richest person on Earth getting 100% of a tax break and all taxpayers get $ZIP.

Bullshit. This is not a tax cut for a person. It's an incentive for a major corporation and you are wrong about the left being silent. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came out against it, and BTW, Tucker Carlson said he agreed with her. I posted that link yesterday in another thread.

This is a pretty good example of how the right spins the facts into something they're not so they can attack the left fraudulently.

Given the fact that the Dims are believed by most liberals to be the party of the poor people it does make for a good discussion when dims give away tax money to the worlds richest man and practice crony capitalism. And don't call the Amazon handout an investment - it is an example of public corruption.

The rich were reduced to 22% and they are getting a capital gains reduction. I don't know anything about a 4% decrease.
What did you get? There is no money to pay for the tax reduction windfall that the wealthy got, and that is why the national debt is soaring.

You may have had a chance to charge them with hypocrisy if you were comparing apples to apples.

I will not charge you with hypocrisy but one of those nasty Democrats just may. Is your objection to this deal because this is Amazon and Bezos owns it and Bezos owns the Wash Post and the Trump does not like Wash Post or Bezo because the Wash reports the truth about the Trump and Trumpsters? What if this was Koch Industries who got got a tax sweetheart deal I bet you that would be fine with you. But it is Amazon which Trumpettes conflate with Wash Post Bezos so now the Trumpettes are screaming like screwed geese in a French Pate factory? You don't really want to join that Chorus of geese do you? I know that I would not.

I have news for you, the super rich have put in enough loop holes to insure that they don't have to pay taxes. As an example, a member of my family didn't pay taxes even though he owned a multi million dollar house on the east side of Manhattan, had 3 children in top private schools, and another house worth millions in the Hamptons. It was all legal.

When you read about foundations being established by billionaires, don't think of it as charity. That's a
deception. They do it so their children will escape inheritance taxes when they die. Since they are giving nothing to the government, the average tax payer is covering the losses. I've heard of farmers, forced to sell lands that were in their families for generations to multinationals so they could pay their inheritance taxes.

It wouldn't be so bad if these foundations didn't cover causes that might not be to the tax payers liking. The worse of course is the Soros 'Open Society Foundation', since it supports over 150 organizations in this country alone. He is a globalist and a liberal, and those organizations will support the candidates Soros wants, whether it's for the Presidency, Senate or House. He chose Obama, and he chose Hillary.

You said it was bad for the middle class.

Clearly you're going to ignore what you said and are going to try to pivot to something else.

There was not a 22 percent reduction it was about 2.5. The rich aren’t the only people that have cap gains...middle class does as well. The middle class got the largest reduction.plus double the standard deduction.

I don't know all the details.

I'm just aware of the heads exploding, and the curious hypocrisy that appears to be taking place.
