Maybe, but they definitely know he shares their goals in life.... - - - Updated - - - Im sure you are
That's the problem with trying to make a living out of being a shock jock. Once you've gotten the rep, it gets increasingly more difficult to maintain it without looking stupid. I mean, just view cable for a day, and you'll understand my point.
Exactly. At some point, Coulter starts to look silly and hysterical and simply hoping to get her name or face in RW Media. I happen to think she's already reached that point. - - - Updated - - - I asked you a question on what you said...and predicted you wouldn't answer it. So I was exactly right and you still haven't proven me wrong, have you? (Nor likely you will...given as soon as you pick a sport that is "not gay"....other questions arise which will also need to go unanswered.)
Maybe the article is satirical. My mother would not allow me to play football (American) so I played soccer in the Fall and baseball in the Spring. Soccer to me is as American as apple pie. If she is serious, she's incorrect that soccer is strictly a "foreign" sport.
I'm not a soccer fan. Have never watched the game and probably never will. But they are teaching it in school here now. I think soccer became popular because it's a cheap sport. All you really need is a ball, so even poor kids can play. That makes it popular around the world. I think it's catching on here, although it will never be as popular as American football. Anyway, I applaud any sport where any kid can afford to play, even though I wouldn't waste my time watching it.
Theres whats Right, and then, theres whats Left over..... - - - Updated - - - ya think? AHAHAHAHHA Leftys dont get it...
I don't think Coulter could tell a soccer ball from a pomegranate, but what she does know is that millions of liberal soccer moms pile their kids into vans and take them to matches twice a week and she simply can't abide liberal soccer moms. What she's saying is that soccer is for working class kids/dressage is for kids that matter.
See, right thurr, now admit you are a liar.... and while we're waiting patiently for your apology, we'll entertain ourselves with a Bonus Video !!
Jeeez when you think the woman cannot say anything more stupid than her last statement she proves you wrong. And some idiots here thinks she would make a Fine President, good grief the woman is nothing more than an entertainer and not a very good one of those since the only tricks she knows are putting her foot in her mouth (boring) and shearing the sheep when they go and buy another one of books with the pop-up pages in them (funny as all getout).
I'm impressed that you held out 20 posts before derailing this thread about soccer and Ann Coulter in order to make your trademark disparaging remark about the President.
I think she makes a good point. Soccer is a microcosm of liberal ideology in some ways. It's a sport that minimizes individual achievement in favor of the team, and does not force a winner and a loser. It's not a coincidence that so many fans of socialism like soccer. - - - Updated - - - Why? Because you don't like her opinion? - - - Updated - - - Nobody's perfect
Cuz we all know that the only achievements worth celebrating are the ones made by guys who gave birth to themselves on an island and then built that island into an empire by sheer work ethic and internal drive. To hell with teamwork!
Played soccer a few times back in school, didn't care for it. Don't like watching it either. and don't really care how many hate it or love it. If it's your thing, have at it.
Thanks for proving my point. Like I said, it's no coincidence that fans of left-wing politics rally behind a sport like soccer. This thread is a great example of that.
and have literally fallen asleep a few times at an MLB game. I went because the kids wanted to go. It's just way too boring for me waiting 2-3 minutes in between pitches
So when the Patriots or the Packers or Dolphins win.....they pick out ONE player and say "He won the game, not the rest of us"??? BTW, there are no winners and losers in a soccer game?!?!?!? Then how does one win the FIFA World Cup???
Coulter is probably one of the most accomplished trolls going. Anyway, this is generally how I see Soccar/Football
Do they usually interview everyone on the team about the win, or just 1 or 2 players that made the difference at critical points? Learn to read. I said they don't "force a winner and a loser." And we can see how backwards soccer is by how the US advanced yesterday even though they lost. - - - Updated - - - lol, I love that scene.
I like soccer a lot and I find the world cups to be extremely exciting... The game has developed to a level of extreme skills, the set up to some goals can be simply beautiful. On top of that, the game can bring together nations going through extremely tough times... East vs West Germany.
This happens all the time in many sports. Teams advance to the playoff, sometimes even with losing records, because of outcomes in other games or because they were the best crappy team in a really bad division. Who do you think ought to have advanced instead of the US--Ghana, who had a record of 0-1-2, or Portugal, who tied with USA 1-1-1 but had a worse goal differential?
