I want America to focus on alternative energies while working to fight the existential threats of AGW and ocean acidification.

You just want to bury your head in the sand, deny reality, and continue to obliviously suck Big Oil's...gas pump.

You're watching too much Fox News.

why do some lefties assume anyone who doesn't buy into their agenda must be watching fox news. I only watch fox news on the local stations because being retired, I get up around 9 and the only local news on at that time is the fox affiliate in Cincinnati. hardly a source of politics.

but the fact remains LOTS OF PEOPLE voted for OBAMA because he was a novelty. that didn't happen in every other election when it was one rich white guy running against another rich white guy

People voted for Obama because people bought into his promise of change. That's the same reason they voted for Trump. Both men are political novelties.

We've had forty years to judge Trump. His sole claim to being qualified as president is his "business record." Therefore, his business record is how I judge him.

Trump is PART of the problem in America. He's played the system for decades. This is no different. Him and his billionaire buddies are going to make life good for the wealthy and screw the rest of us.

    PS

I would rather have Romney than a President Trump or a President Kanye West.

Oh well, the poll result so far is nearer my take on him than yours. This anti-Trump mass hysteria is seriously worrying.

What's worrying is that we have a POTUS who denies AGW and is doing everything in his power to bury America's head in the sand. I'm terrified because we're pretty much at the threshhold of no return.

Newsflash: Over half of America and most of the globe hates Trump and his antiiscience ideology.

Together with quite a few others here you obviously have some kind of anti-Trump agenda, but I can't be bothered to work out what it is. In fact I find it all thoroughly depressing.

So far so good. I'm not perfectly pleased with everything he's done, but to be quite frank I was more bothered by what I thought he would do than what he has done.

I hate Trump because he denies AGW/ocean acidification, he wants to wasts billions on a border wall when over 70% of illegals come by plane and boat, he literally has the thinnest skin and most fragile ego of anyone on this planet, he attacks any reporter who dares keep him in check, he hasn't read the Constitution (if his comment about "defending all twelve Articles" is any indicator), he is a lazy oaf who pays underlings to carry out his daily business duties, he's totally wreckless and impulsive both in the things he says on Twitter and the way he behaves, he lacks intellectual curiosity, he makes up BS on the spot, etc. He's an embarrassment and a tool.

It's not just me being an "evil liberal" with a mysterious "agenda." I would gladly have voted for a Repulican like Jon Huntsman over a Democrat like Hillary Clinton. Isn't it telling when a president's own party fought tooth and nail to stop him during the primaries? And now all his aides are coming forth with horror stories about how he behaves in the White House.

Who knows? Judging by the way the man obsesses on Twitter about the most inane things, he's probably mentally ill.

This video is probably very accurate, which makes it EXTREMELY funny and terrifying at the same time.

I have to agree that this wall is not a good idea, and for more than one reason. You might have read some of the posts I've made saying exactly that. And yet everything else of substance that he says is spot on. It is rather odd.

So far Trump is doing okay,
keeping the momentum going intended for the economy.

I think there might be a housing shortage in Pyongyang, but you Trump haters might get lucky finding a flat in Hamhung or Sinuiju.

Yes, this is a cogent, enlightened, astute assessment of this demagogue's cabinet. What more is to be expected from a paragon of greed, an exemplar of the one-percent? Nobody with enough money to launch a winning campaign is going to understand the words "of the people, by the people, for the people." Reagan, Nixon, both Bushes, now Trump - these are not people with the best interests of the American people at heart. Clinton let fewer and fewer rich people control more and more of the airwaves. Not for the people. Obama used taxpayer money to bail out a bunch of corrupt monopolists, rather than throw them in jail where they belong. All this brouhaha from the conservatives - when did they muster a modicum of empathy anyway?

My ex-wife and I were doing fine the first week. I'm afraid asking if it's going okay after seven days is silly. Barack Obama might have had a good week sometime. So far, Donald Trump is simply riding the anti-federal, anti-leftist wave. We'll see how the lifelong Democrat is doing after six months.

My god. Does someone think governmental experience is a plus. You don't think people can learn sloth and corruption on the job?

Sessions has made a career out of inventing ways to keep black people from voting. He also has said that the only thing he doesn't like about the KKK is that they smoke pot. I hope he doesn't start wars with the States who have legalized weed and cause a real cluster (*)(*)(*)(*). He does dress nicely...

He never said that. He said that he 'thought they were OK until he learned they smoked marijuana". The man was joking and he said it in private.
