Army officer sues Virginia police over violent traffic stop

He asked if he could use his hand to unlock the seat belt and they said to do it. He was not complying on purpose because he knew he could dupe dumb libos and win some big time money in a law suit.

 

They are made by police officers who are not tyrannical thugs violating peoples rights for no reason. This was not a felony stop... if it were, charges would have been filed.

The cop CALLED it a felony stop to try to justify what he was planning to do. He didn't count on being recorded, and that recording becoming a viral video on Youtube. When he realized how bad he had ****ed up, and what was about to happen to HIM as a result, he started negotiating with the LT to try to get him to keep quiet. No deal.

You are defending these cops. These cops are the reason good cops are getting killed. You are part of that.

 

Do keep in mind when he got out of the car his eyes were closed and he was unable to disengage his seat belt.

 

I believe he would have much preferred to have just been left the **** alone.

 

The dispatcher designated it as a felony stop. Anytime you are pulled over with guns drawn, its a felony stop. It doesn't mean you committed a felony. Had he stepped out of the car, you would have never heard anything about it.

Why after being told in a forceful way numerous times to get on the ground did he just stand there? He obviously was not afraid of these men or else he would have done what they told him.

The officer who wrote the report lied about the altercation. I realize you aren't prepared to address that fact. You've made that abundantly clear. Just as you aren't prepared to address the fact that one of the officers specifically told the victim that he should fear exiting the car.

 

Are you defending the actions of these cops? They pulled him, guns drawn, for a license plate violation. And, what exactly do you mean by "people like me"?

 

No one involved has claimed there were any racist component to this interaction, to my knowledge. I have seen all the bodycam footage, and the footage the LT took, and did not see any hint of racism.

 

People like you meaning, you will knowingly falsify the conditions of the stop to defend the poor black guy and lie about the cops interaction.

If you saw the footage you would have seen the officer reach to his vest and turn on his audio to his camera before exiting his patrol car. Why would you knowingly lie about him not knowing it was being recorded?

 

I have not seen the full video. What i have seen indicates to me that he was being noncompliant on purpose.

 

He knew HE was recording, he wasn't counting on the LT recording and that video going viral.

I linked one of the officer's bodycams earlier in the thread. The highest ranking enlisted officer in the US Army praised the LT's behavior publicly, also linked earlier in the thread.
