Over 100,000 Signatures on U.K. Petition to Arrest Netanyahu in London

The petition, which appears on the official government website, reads: “Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in London this September. Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the U.K for the massacre of over 2000 civilians in 2014.”

According to U.K. law, petitions achieving more than 100,000 signatures are considered for debate by parliament. It is not clear, however, if and when a debate will be held.

In a true democracy the people should have the power to send criminals to the courts. Unfortunately, there are so many big criminals who sit at the ruling table and are completely free to commit whatever crime they wish.
It is hopeless and a mockery of democracy.

Might as well add this article to it, as it also presents a crime against the Palestinian people...

Palestinians worse off than ever as settler numbers soar, says UN

Look, how nice a Jewish settlement looks... paid for by the world.
Palestinians wave a flag during a protest against Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank village of Nabi Saleh, near Ramallah, on 28 August.

Now look how some Palestinian farmers live...
A unique way of life in the West Bank is under threat after Israel renewed a legal bid to evict more than 1,600 cave-dwelling Palestinian farmers from their land in the desert hills near the Biblical city of Hebron.
    ...
It has also set the Jewish state on a collision course with European powers, particularly the British government which funded the construction of cisterns and sanitation facilities for the cave-dwelling communities, home to some of the poorest Palestinians in the West Bank.

"The UK takes any reports of projects funded by the UK taxpayer being demolished seriously," a Foreign Office spokesman said on Sunday. "We are aware of the legal proceedings and are monitoring the outcome of the case."

    -------------------
Well, I will let myself be surprised as to what the British will do, IF they even will do something.
    Will the UN do something?
    What do you think?

That's so horrible. Imagine how afraid those people would be.

Israelis are every bit as savage as any African arab region.

Truly they are he Devil's agents.

    100,000 extremely naive people.

In the Civil War, I'm sure there were more than 100,000 Copperheads (northern Democrats sympathetic to the South) that wanted Lincoln arrested.

of course anyone who does not agree with the mass murder of Palestinians is a terrorist supporter

The petition is not for his arrest but for a debate on such. If you read the Governments response to the 10,000 mark, which obviously states it's case, even I would beat them in an debate. Fingers crossed the debate happens......

    Correct!
If these People want to arrest Netanyahu, will be interesting what they will do about these higher and lower leaders of Palestinians, for example these Hamas people milling around in Europe too.

Interesting will be too, which alleged war crime please? Internal issues are no where a matter of international war crime and if they come with Gaza strip as reason, the Hamas must be same way arrested.
Not that I like Israel aggressive politics upon Palestinians and how they handle them inside Israel, but I do not forget that there is not only Israel guilty alone.

Khirbet Susya, the "ruins of Susya" is an ancient archaeological site of a destroyed biblica Jewish communitte, The Arab village there was not mentioned in Ottoman land surveys, not in Brittish land survey and not in 1967 land survey.

There are documents of Arab land ownership of the area since 1881, registered on the Jabor family, its boundries however are not clear since they were described in terms of geography features which are hard to identify in the field, but no village was mentioned ,

The ppl in Khirbet Susya came from the two big villages in the area of South Mount Hebron, Yatta and Dura, for lack of space, land and escape robber gangs that prayed the area,

Yaakov Havakook, who lived with the locals in the region for several years, writes that the community at Khirbet Susya was seasonal and didn't live in there year-round. Families of shepherds arrived after the first rain (October–November), stayed during the grazing season and left in April end or beginning of May.

The population of the Palestinian community reportedly numbered 350 in 2012[5] and 250 residents the following year.[4] constituted by 50 nuclear families (2015), up from 25 in 1986[6] and 13 in 2008.

In June 1986, Israel expropriated the Palestinian village's residential ground for an archeological site, evicting about 25 families.
The expelled Susyans settled in caves and tin shacks nearby, on their agricultural lands at a site now called Rujum al-Hamri,

The Israeli government official stance on the matter says "“There was no historic Palestinian village at the archaeological site there; that the village consists of only a few seasonal residences for a few families; and the land is necessary for the continuation of archaeological work."

Since Oslo the land is under area "C" which means Israeli law, any permenant solution requires a permenant solution for the entire WB and Gaza.

There are no 1600 ppl to be evicted, only a few hundreds live there, the Paleastinians that say they lived there since Ottoman days are partly lying as Susiya never was a permenant village, they probebly splited their lives between Yatta, Dora and the caves throu the year.

In any case, they were evicted for the Arch site, they still live in the caves, they dont get to expand on new land without an agreement.

Seems fitting to a kidnap threats and from Hamas supporters,

They are not being murdered, they chose to kill Israelis to advance a political goal, death is a legit and very possible outcome.

The question in this debate should be, does the UK consider itslef a relevant part of the Israeli-Plalestinian dispute or not ? does it have some responsibilty as former Mandate ? does it want to assist in negotiations? does it want to negoitiate at all?

If it does than it should reject any BDS nonsense and keep in line with the EU, if it doesnt, why should we pay any heed to it ? let me correct that, since past expirence we already dont pay attention to lectures from France and UK, they need to be more neutral and constructive to gain any trust with us - if they want to be relevant.

Im part of the warring sides, ofc Im part of the problem, I dont have the prendtous stance that its our way or death, I recognize Palestinian rights but dont agree with every demand they have,

BDS rejects any right I have, it doesnt see Israel as a side just as a problem to be removed, it expects me to joyfully reject my rights or Im a "mass murderer" supporter :)

It deserves the kind of replies I give here, a general "up yours", we wont disguss our destruction as a legit solution, we wont talk with such ppl on any kind of solution what so ever.

There was another thread on this.
So, if it reaches the signatures, they have to "debate" it. They debate it and decide to take no action. Petition process completed.

There were similar public outpourings about the visit by former Chilean leader Augusto PInochet for violation of human rights under an indictment issues by a Spanish judge. He was held under house arrest in a very posh residence for about a year before former prime minister Margaret Thatcher managed to wangle his release.

In the case of Netanyahu, he's a fairly regular visitor to London and a petition signed by 100,000 people is going to not make the slightest difference to his freedom. Sadly.

With Pinochet it was because of Universal Jurisdiction was it not? - something the last Government stopped for political people.

However if you look at the pathetic load of crap the gov came up with when it reached 10,000 - that is begging to have the truth offset it ...and though it would not result in Netanyah's arrest, it might get this country a bit nearer being honest about what is going on there. ;)

    Yup, that's right. Universal jurisdiction.

I'd be delighted if Netanyahu were arrested, as you would be, I think. But we're both realists and understand how the game is played and I've yet to see honesty in most things political, let alone matters of foreign policy - especially matters Israeli. It's a stacked card game where the Joker trumps everything.

Besides this the UK arms industry is really powerful and often work in the shadows. During the 1st quarter this year, Blighty has exported £1.3 million of direct arms to Israel with a further half a million of arms for Israeli re-export. An example of the arms we export are as follows (from 2013):

2013 direct arms sales to Israel were for:

all-wheel drive vehicles with ballistic protection
    anti-riot/ballistic shields
    armoured plate
    ballistic equipment
    bomb suits
    military aero-engines
    military communications equipment
    military electronic equipment
    military equipment for initiating explosives
    military guidance/navigation equipment
military improvised explosive device decoying/detection/disposal/jamming equipment
    military parametric technical databases
    military support vehicles
    munitions/ordnance detection/disposal equipment
    small arms ammunition
    targeting equipment
    training small arms ammunition
unfinished products for military support aircraft
    weapon nighsights
    weapon sights

    components for:

    air-to-surface missiles
    aircrafmissile protection systems
all-wheel drive vehicles with ballistic protection
    assault rifles
    ballistic test equipment
    body armour
    combat aircraft
    combat naval vessels
    decoying/countermeasure equipment
    electronic warfare equipment
    military vehicle
    naval vessel
    military aero-engines
    military airborne equipment
    military combat vehicles
    military communications equipment
    military electronic equipment
    military equipment for initiating explosives
    military guidance/navigation equipment
    military helicopters
military improvised explosive device decoying/detection/disposal/jamming equipment
    military radars
    military support aircraft
    military support vehicles
    military training aircraft
    military aero-engines
    military communications equipment
    military electronic equipment
    military equipment for initiating explosives
    military guidance/navigation equipment
military improvised explosive device decoying/detection/disposal/jamming equipment
    military parametric technical databases
    military support vehicles
    munitions/ordnance detection/disposal equipment
    small arms ammunition submarines
    surface-to-air missiles
    targeting equipment
    unmanned air vehicles

    equipment for the use of:

    decoying/countermeasure equipment
    military aero-engines
    military electronic equipment
    military equipmenfor initiating explosives
    military guidance/navigation equipment
    weapon sights

    software for:

attack alerting/warning equipment, for military aero-engines and for the use of military aero-engines

    technology for:

air-to-surface missiles, military communications equipment, surface launched rockets, unmanned air vehicles, air-to-surface missiles andsurface launched rockets. (see HERE)

So the UK has to bear bear some blame for past Israeli war crimes and so they would, I suppose, be prosecuting themselves if they decided to prosecute any Israeli premier.

O.k., o.K.... bulldoze them under, just like Cory!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUoZGnvZwNY

TODAY the EU's 27 foreign ministers will issue a strongly worded rebuke, denouncing Israel for expanding Jewish settlements and demanding Palestinians be allowed to build on their own land without fear of having their homes demolished.

Of course, nothing will actually happen. The European Jewish Commission is far too mighty!

Yes, because they have been spinning since shortly after 9/11. However I was not talking about Netanyahu being arrested. Of course that will not happen. It would have been up to our courts whether that happened had the Lib/con coalition not take that opportunity for justice away.

However, there are still some principled people in Parliament, maybe not many but there are some. We saw this when there was a backbenchers debate on recognising a Palestinian State which came as a result of a similar petition. Now they knew that this would not carry but they also knew it would allow voices to be heard which could not be at other times. The result of that was 274 in favour with only 12 against and I heard Parliament saying all sorts of things I have not heard them say since the 1990's like 'let's be honest, most of us would be terrorists if we found ourselves in that position!!"

so go back to what this is about and taking into account the government's reply which I gave a link to and it is obvious that the Government is either clueless, very possibly, or wilfully compliant. However if it is decided to have a debate on this, then we find something quite different. They will know their vote will not bring immediate results but they will also know it is saying something - it allows things which are not said, which have no room to be said, to be said with a big voice....and then when Corbyn becomes leader it will be easier for him to speak (Of course living in Scotland I am still going for Independence. Our Parliament does not share the UK view. I think some of our councils were among the first to initiate a boycot of Israeli goods. ;)

Even little things which you may think can make no change can when enough of them stack up. Sign the petition;)

Yup, the liberal hatred for Jews and adoration for terrorist Islam. Weird.

Yep, Muslims choose to build tunnels to wreck havoc instead of housing for their own with the billions they receive. Dang Jews.
