Putting them on roofs seems like a good idea.
Charging at night sounds like another good one.

I don't remember the state legislator giving him that power. And one of my worries about the effect of Covid-19 on societies is it will get people used to governors ruling by decree.

A long time ago when I was a kid, we rarely if ever suffered power outages which are now such a standard part of life here in the Northeast that half of the homes now have generators installed so that they no longer lose power. We have REGRESSED as a nation in the production and maintenance of our electric supplies the electrical grid is not well maintained we still allow people to grow tall trees directly under power lines, something we should have banned over 100 years ago.

California BANS the sale of NEW gasoline powered cars in 2035 & beyond.

The car dealers in neighboring states are going to like that. Used cars will carry premium prices. It's all good for everyone except Californians.

Niclear would not do it. Besides California dislikes nuclear almost as much as fossil fuel powered power. And, since they are hell bent on maintaining fishies (at the expense of farmers) I'm surprised they haven't thought of blowing up Hoover dam -- but hush, don't tell them I said that!

The new small scale local very safe nuclear generators are proving themselves and hopefully will start being built. That is the ONLY was we can go to electric powered vehicles and not start up and build new coal and gas fired ones. Wind and solar are too expensive to unreliable and enough storage is a pipe dream with HUGE environmental problems.

Well I can imagine CA will have to prohibit the licensing of the new cars in the state which presents a boatload of problems for out of state purchases.

Scotland which only has about a 5 million population produces about twice their countries electrical needs from renewable sources selling the surplus to England. Their primary renewable source is off shore wind turbines.

We have massive amounts of coastline on 3 sides of our country as well as many high altitude locations that have frequent high winds that could make up for Kansas blandness???

No ti doesn't and we're not Scotland.

"For a start, it needs to be pointed out that, while there may have been enough to power all Scottish homes, the figures ignore non-domestic use. During 2017, the latest figures available, wind, wave and solar generated 17.4 TWh, but total Scottish consumption was 24.6 TWh.

To ignore non-domestic use is a common trick employed by the wind lobby.

There is of course nothing clever about building enough wind farms to power all Scottish homes in aggregate terms, particularly in a large country with a small population as Scotland is, if you are prepared to throw enough money at it. And in Scotland’s case, that is an awful lot.

Last year, subsidies for wind power in Scotland cost consumers £954 million. Fortunately for the Scots, this subsidy is absorbed by the National Grid and charged out to all UK customers. If Scottish householders had to pay for it themselves, it would cost every household there £367 a year."
    https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2019/07/22/scotlands-wind-myth/

"But GMB Scotland secretary Gary Smith noted that four-fifths of energy used in Scotland “doesn’t come from electricity,” with the rest accounted for by oil-based fuels and home gas supplies.

“The vast majority of homes in Scotland are heated by gas,” he said. “Any idea we are going to move to electric heating any time soon is nonsense.

“We use gas to heat homes and power industry because it three times cheaper than electricity too. If you live in Scotland and you don’t have access to gas, your are probably fuel poor.”

In May, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon declared a “climate emergency” in Scotland, and her government has since set new targets for reducing fossil fuel consumption.

The current reliance on gas means only 6 per cent of all Scotland’s home heating comes from renewable sources.

Did he also ban the sale of private jets? One jet produces the CO2 of 336 cars. Or would that offend Whorelywood too much?

So you are claiming Scotland is lying when they claim that they are producing twice THEIR ELECTRICAL needs of power from renewables and selling the surplus to England????

Until the state high court steps in as they did this week in Michigan to the halfwit tyrant Gretchen Whitmer. They declared her rulings unconstitutional. She then announced she plans to work around that ruling --- while MEANWHILE her own state attorney general has declared she will not prosecute unconstitutional executive orders --- and Whitmer still says she'll plunge ahead.

Democrats are worthless. Gretchen Whitmer has proved it.
