Let's all panic over something that may or may not happen in 15 years.

    15 years. Sheesh.

So are we facing a future where all those tunnels dug under our border are now used to smuggle gasoline?

Most people don't plan for retirement because they have been conditioned that the government is responsible to make sure they are taken care of.

Respectfully, they don't plan to retire because Social Security keeps raising the age for benefits. To survive they keep working. It's no longer just to stay busy.

In your world the widow of a blue collar worker without social security and Medicare would probably die sooner anyway. The libertarian way.

Just think how much cheaper gas and oil would be if the industry was not making $1.2 Million contribution to Dirty Donald campaign in 2016 and already over $1,6 Million in 2020.

No! Tell us! In lurid detail! With capitals! Exclamation marks! Do the bribes they pay to the oil-producing sheiks merit your attention, or those same companies' contributions to Biden?

Ok, I can play. In your world, we all work for the collective, whom directs us on how to live, what to eat, where to work. Because it's for the greater good of all. When in reality, only half the people contribute, politicians take most of the money, and all that's left are the crumbs we so graciously accept from our Supreme leaders continually supported by the noncontributors of society.

This country was founded on the concepts of personal freedom and individual liberties. Its what made this country great for hundreds of years. THIS is what Trump is saying about making America great again.

Your view of collectivism in any of its formats is not "great".

So... when you say, "declared" you mean he dictated. Right? like a monarch, or something.. Has the CA legislature produced a bill to this effect? Poor Gavin. He just wants to be Queen for a day.

You have a preposterous and exaggerated view of what I believe and reality. As far as people not contributing, we have "billionaires" paying $750 in taxes and Amazon paying nothing.

We have half the country with zero federal income tax liability.

    Zero.

    Half the County.

You get all upset over two people, ignoring the losses they have taken to build business that actually build the economy and put people to work who pay taxes. Yet you ignore half the country that pays nothing, has never created a job, and does nothing to build the economy.

    Your priorities are skewed.

And yet Dirty Donald is bailing out farmers, airlines and other failing businesses with taxpayer money, which we now know Dirtu Donald contributed little to none of.

The goal should be to have a nuclear powered car. One that could go years without refueling would be fantastic. If they can run a ship with a reactor why not a small reactor in a car? Well, no accidents allowed of course.

I'm really not sure what you mean. A laborer working for a small company is getting all that?
The bottom 50% of the population has less than 2% of the wealth...yes priorities are skewed.

They aren't poor because others are rich. We don't have zero sum economics.

They should get a free ride, in a country in which on a global scale they are filthy rich, because they arent as good at making money?

So the top 50% hold 98% of the wealth in the US and you are complaining the bottom 50% aren't doing enough...I see.

When you have a consumer based economy, isolating the nations wealth in the hands of just a few is the dumbest thing you can do. Spreading the wealth allowing more people to be able to spend on things other than the bare necessities of life, would supercharge the economy.

They haven't earned it. And two
per cent of 20 odd trillion is still a hell of a chunk of change. The size of the company you work four doesn't matter your husband died early and his SS benefits acru to you and I never worked for a fortune five hundred company in my life and every one of them had a paid for term life policy for all employees. It usually started around 50 k and you could up grade in increments varying from 10 to 20 for a reasonable amount. Under 10 bucks per increment

Because they rely on taxpayers to help them. It used to be a job could get you a decent life. Now, a low paying job means relying on government assistance.

Great system, especially for billionaires who don't pay income taxes. They rely on the middle class to support the lower class.

What happens when you have high taxes and regulations. The rich pay money to avoid taxes and regulations and the rest if us eat the cost. Lower taxes and regulations and and you can make more money by investing in production instead of government.
