CNN Settles Defamation Lawsuit With Covington Student Nicholas Sandmann

CNN settled a defamation lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann on Tuesday. A CNN spokesperson confirmed to TheWrap that a settlement was reached but did not comment on details.

A lawyer for Sandmann filed a $275 million defamation suit against CNN in March 2019, saying the network’s coverage of the student’s encounter with Native American tribal elder Nathan Phillips in January of that year constituted a “vicious attack” against his client.

As a measure by CNN when Project Veritas settled a lawsuit by an ACORN employee for "Filming without Permission", not defamation; CNN uses it to call us 'discredited' and 'liars'. So is CNN, by their own standards "discredited liars"?

I hope Sandmann won enough to make CNN take notice and maybe, just maybe, rethink their current position as a purveyor of twisted and spun partisan propaganda and #fakenews.

 

Remember when it was said that none of the broadcast networks or cable news shows that libeled the Covington school kids as racists without discovering ANY of the actual facts first, would all be dismissed out of hand in court or simply ignored by all those Leftist-allied outlets? Well CNN is the first to cave. I guess that can happen when it's so very obviously a slam dunk court case. Weird that nearly every time the Right makes a prediction concerning things and schemes of the political Left the Right of Center predictions very nearly always turn out to be correct.
