    Vice President Mike Pence told governors on Monday that distribution of a coronavirus vaccine could begin by the third week of December, signaling that U.S. regulators will swiftly approve an emergency authorization for the first shots.
    “We strongly believe the vaccine distribution process could begin the week of December 14,” Pence told governors, according to a summary of the call provided by the office of Washington Governor Jay Inslee. “The American people deserve to know the cavalry is on the way.”


    Pence told governors they will have the final say on vaccine distribution as the “ultimate arbiters” in their states, according to the summary.

    We got the vaccine :banana:
    Starts rolling out next week.
    THe MRHA has passed the Pfizer vaccine as safe. The Astra Zeneca to follow shortly. :blownose:

    indeed.......and he had a social ( Xmas) event at the white house where no one took precautions. You know that he is planning a VICTORY rally soon?? Just heard about that one. As you can see, he is far too busy to actually do HIS JOB.......You know.....the one he was elected f to do. Creating chaos & obfuscating can be a full time job;-)

    I find it strange that Trump who lauded draining the swamp in his 2016 election campaign and was elected by a body of Americans who believed America had lost its democracy. Then introduced zero policies that had anything to do with the voting system, methods of counting votes, who was allowed to vote, how the college system worked or anything else in the following 4 years.

    To put it in very basic terms.........he is just hot air and no substance. He duped a lot of folks who took him literally. He never really liked the job itself........ just the power and perks and status. He finds the details of the job itself boring . He loves the sensational stuff that gets a lot of publicity. with HIM at center stage.

    The colossal failure in how this pandemic has been dealt with , will be the Trump legacy. He started it with the hoax thing and it just deteriorated from there. He put all his "money" on the vaccine while ignoring the other important tools . By doing so, he set the example , which his followers adopted. The degree of this crisis could have been reduced if the leadership had been consistent and firm........ The medical staff tried, but were undermined by D.J.T.
    His callous indifference has been astounding.

    President-elect Joe Biden plans to ask Americans to wear a face mask for 100 days after he is inaugurated to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, and he pledged to publicly take a vaccine when it's available to encourage the public to get vaccinated.

    “Just 100 days to mask, not forever. And I think we'll see a significant reduction," Biden said during an interview Thursday with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

    Biden also said he'd "be happy" to join former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton in getting the vaccine in public to prove it is safe. "When Dr. Fauci says we have a vaccine that is safe, that's the moment in which I will stand before the public."

    We haven't had a normal President in decades. Our current President isn't a politician, he's a man of the people. Our last President droned so many innocent people in countries we shouldn't be in I can't keep track, the one before had us invaded Iraq, the one before had a chance to curb our foreign policy but failed...and the list goes on.

    Do you remember the last time we had a normal President? I thought Obama was a normal one along with Clinton and GW Bush. Well they were more normal than Trump ever was. Who was the last normal President in your opinion?

    By normal I don't mean they were all the same or shared the same views. I mean they behaved in a statesman like manner which is then predictable, that they listened to experts rather than assumed they knew everything.

    If I may add: "normal" would be not coming up with crazy ideas (as in mentally unstable ) that some would actually follow and believe. Leaders must be careful with how they speak . The eg in mind is the silliness about the virus being a hoax or entertaining an idea of injecting disinfectant into a human body as cure for the virus. ( If it was a hoax......why come up with a crazy treatment like that ??) Totally irresponsible. and quite insane. No,it was not a joke. Some people actually considered it. Stream of consciousnesses is fine in one's psychiatrists office........but not a constructive tactic in leadership. "normal" is nt having twitter rages at anyone that offended his ego.... or taking pleasure in firing those that disagree with him .

    So , yes......it is a relief to be looking forward to a normal , experienced human being in the top spot. And someone who cares about the country, the population, as opposed to being a pathological narcissist. Sadly this narcissist is going to make Biden's' term as miserable as he can. He is cruel and vindictive . NOT in the best interest of the nation. particularity a nation that is in a health and economical crisis. ..that he allowed to get out of control by ignoring it. He made it obvious that the pandemic was not a priority... To HIM. If a Dem leader behaved this way........he would have been" tarred and feathered" along time ago.
