Does it really? How does it do that? Explain your thought process. Did you even really think about this?
or on a 3d laser printer, for certain parts you would need to register the serial numbers on certain parts
What makes you think that is a good idea? I don't really see any way this would help prevent crime. The illegal seller would either have no reason to put serial numbers on it, or would remove/deface those serial numbers just before he sold it.
do you support the restrictions on machine guns do you support restrictions on ex-felons that have served their time if you support either of those, can you still support the 2nd?
I don't think you read the opening post. Or maybe you simply do not understand, because it was not explained clearly enough. The serial number is tied to the owner's name and identity, and a record has to be kept.
Nothing 'clever' about it. Its likely to create more crime than it prevents just like banning abortion and the war on drugs. And when I say so in abortion or drug threads, I get lots of likes from people that are all in for more gun restrictions. They know it wont work and they dont care because its not about crime or violence, its about using the govt as a weapon against people they dont like. It happens on both sides of the aisle, of course, and thats why we all have less and less rights.
that has nothing to do with this. that's also has nothing to do with this Do you have any idea what is even being talked about here?
do you really want it to be so easy to murder someone and ditch the gun, serial numbers are just common sense
So I don't people have any kind of situational panic anywhere else to the point where we need to restrict firearms?
How do you catch a criminal by the serial number? Something tells me you are not thinking or listening to anything in this thread.
