isn't there? what woudl be the point if there was no registry and if there is no registry, why would a criminal file off the serial number?
I do not know every case out there, but I do know that police use the serial number to track own owners of guns found
That actually does not make much sense. Let's think about it and discuss it. Why would the murderer feel like they had to immediately ditch the gun? Why not take it back with them and remove the serial number before they discard it? Or throw the gun into a lake where it is unlikely to be discovered for decades. If the murder was planned and premeditated, and the murderer planned to ditch the gun beforehand, they could have already removed the serial number.
No there isn't. that's a good question. There is no registry as many firearms not a single one of them are registered I can't register them there is nothing to register them with. I have many firearms none of them are registered show me where I go to register them and explain to me with which department or organization that I'm registering them with.
Many of those "ex-felons" should have the right to buy a gun. It was a mistake to make loss of rights automatic to all those convicted of any crime classified as a "felony". The Bill of Rights, including the Second Amendment, was also not originally meant to apply to the states.
So infringing on gun rights will only help catch the very stupidest of criminals. Once again, these specific proposed changes in laws are not going to be that helpful, are they? Think about some actual examples of scenarios where your proposed law change might be helpful. Think about how unrealistic they are.
ok, how about the banning of the Peyote religion... Constitutional, should Peyote be a scheduled one drug?
