Both Communism and Wild Capitalism are extreme and unfair. Scandinavia and Canada found a good compromise.
Without medical insurance, many people get medical care on which they can not survive. Millionaires and billionaires spend millions and billions on luxury items.
I do not know. Designing a working system takes decades of work by many experts. Canada and Scandinavia are almost ideal systems.
Society should be guided by life, not money. Money is merely a tool, something to represent effort (labor) and be exchanged for goods. Other systems are possible.
Definitely. Unfortunately, life is impossible without food, shelter, and medical care. All people must be provided with necessities of life.
I agree 100%. A working system of help for people in need will reduce many social problems including crimes and drugs.
And more millions and millions on people to maintain that other stuff. To say nothing of millions on buildings equipment and people to man them.
That is great! But spending millions/billions on luxury while many people in the World are starving is a Crime Against Humanity.
Nazis committed Crimes of Commission. Billionaires and Millionaires are guilty of Crimes of Omission at least.
I think he does, but just not willing to actually admit to it.. For some reason, the left always get's all excited about French style revolutions. Even when they don't understand they're cutting off their own heads..
I think they meant "free" of cost to them... they still think that folks who have insurance get free health care... like magic.... it is unexplainable to them...
Our society should be guided by individual liberty. Taking money from the rich to use for "society " is having our society run by money, it is just the flip side of the same coin.
Whatever you need to stay alive. This is one of the main problems with the Capitalist model of Health Care. You don't have to make it expensive just so people won't take huge amounts of it if they can and not leave any for others. People do not want to be sick, and they aren't asking for publicly financed health care just to take advantage of doctors and the public. People want healthcare to stay alive, no other reason. The Capitalist model of Healthcare says that the price of all medicine should be like anything else. whatever the traffic will bear. The problem here is that the traffic will bear anything. People will pay all they can to stay alive, does that mean we should bankrupt them? You need to read some of Frederick Pohl's Heechee series. They depict a world in which they full capitalist model of healthcare is the only one existing. It is not a pleasant place
They did? They both have capitalist economic systems. Neither one has any socialism in its economic system.
This, after you praised bailing them out in 2008, making them wildly richer because you thought this would "save" you from collapse. Everything you propose will be inflicted on those of us who aren't the elite rich, inflicting irreparable harm on us. And you will be pleased because you have no understanding of the problem. You have no understanding why they are now cashed out, sitting on vast amounts of cash and tangible assets, while your "savings", locked into their casino, is getting decimated
Given that it feeds a crap load of people as well including the people that makes those luxury items, I'll have to conclude you have no idea what you are talking about. Please note my daughter is engaged in furnishing and keeping some of those luxury items running, she gets paid about 80k a year for that service a job which wouldn't exist without rich people.
you might just get your wish... trump suggested today that the 'bailouts' could include a stipulation that the government gets a stake in the companies stock. no word yet on percentages... that should make y'all love trump... anywho, i'm off to order more popcorn and beer, this is gonna be huuuuge!
I saw that. Government taking a chunk of collateral out of these companies is A) very popular right now and the right thing to do and B) totally communism.
