I think Israel is a fabulous country. I had the privilege to live there for awhile. The region is too volatile for me too choose it as home, however. I have lived in Europe, the Middle East, South America and all over the USA. When I finally decided to retire, the world had changed. My decision on where to retire was no longer just about local beauty, money and comfort. I looked at things like: - Will probable fallout blow my way? - Will starving hordes fleeing devastated cities engulf us? - Will water sources remain clean and local? - Am I on a route likely to be overtaken by maneuvering enemy forces? - Am I far enough away from probable nuclear targets to avoid the effects of EMP? - Is the region agriculturally independent enough to generate enough food to keep us fed? - Are there enough medical assets locally to keep us alive?
