Notice he cannot answer any of those questions...nor ever will. He'll just refer us to a video or a website....that doesn't answer any of those questions...and claim "The questions have been answered!"

    100% guaranteed. :)

((BTW, doesn't that sound a lot like Paul Reiser as "Burke" in "Aliens" when Ripley figures out that Burke was going to use her and Newt to smuggle in the alien implants? :) ))

The fish tale...where the fish that ISN'T caught gains a pound every time in the telling.

Do you realize you just did more math and answered more questions directly....

than 99% of Literalists who believe in the story of Noah's Ark EVER will?

You have failed to even attempt to answer ANY of the questions in the OP. You have dodged, deflected, and tried to change the subject...

yet you claim you are trying to "educate people"....

and on top of that, you are self-righteous and egotistical and have used personal insults....which violates Scripture ...Titus 3:2....

yet claim to "believe in the Bible".

Ha! You haven't answered a single question I've asked. Not one.

This is my OP...you voluntarily decided to comment on it. You also chose NOT to even TRY to answer one question raised in the OP....

    because you can't answer them.

Now...continue to be intellectually dishonest...as well as violate Scripture.

Because the questions aren't logical. Some of the stuff you're asking requires information that no individual would know; such as Noah and his family's habits inside the boat.

Also, many of your questions defy historical science. We can only develop historical data based on information left over from history. We can't revisit history to provide answers to the questions you have. Its like asking if George Washington had a mole on his butt. No one would know that unless George Washington or his wife left behind a diary or journal stating whether his butt had a mole or not.

My question, that you nor anyone else here can seem to answer, is what evidence is there to show that atheism is true and correct? All I want is defensible evidence for atheism.

Isn't it interesting that every society with a flood myth either lived on or descended from people who lived on flood plains of major rivers or coastlines prone to typhoons, monsoons, or tsunamis?

The complete lack of evidence to suggest the existence of a deity is reason enough to dismiss it as non-sense.

This has been explained to you on more than one occasion.

    Nope.

    1. Floods are a natural occurrence. Colorado was flooding a few weeks ago, if Houston was flooding as well, does that make it a global, country wide, or regoinal flood? Nope. They are local floods. They occur all the time all over the world.
    2. How would ancient people know it was a global flood if they did not have the ability to either view the world or have contact with people in other parts of the world?
    3. There are also legends of giants and werewolves. Do you take those seriously as well? Or should we simply be skeptical of the tales told by people who were unaware that the planet is round?

Then they are not "not logical"...they are questions that YOU have no answers for, yet you claim you can "educate people" about Noah's Ark.

BTW, "your question"...proves my point. You want to thread-jack this OP and change the subject to something you feel more comfortable discussing...i.e. "proving a negative".

    - - - Updated - - -

He's attempting to change the subject and thread-jack the post. Quite obviously.

Someone can chock Noah up to complete bull(*)(*)(*)(*) and still believe in a god.

He diverts the subject when he is being nailed to the cross.

Yeh, this reminds me of how many people beat on me when I come up with theories of why the seasons are so long in Game of Thrones and posit Pykrete as explaining how The Wall doesn't melt. "Fer crissake, it's magic, even Martin said that."

Oh no, that just shows how many inferior flood stories the HEATHENS have come up with. We have the REAL one, of course

Well, I and a few people have pointed out that many atheists ask questions in an attempt to trap those who answer these questions. The reality is, no one is making claims on the living conditions on the boat. The only claim any of us Christians make is that there was a worldwide flood and that Noah was saved by it inside of an ark. That's it.

Worldwide floods aren't a normal occurrence.
According to Wikipedia, there are multiple cultures that have stories of, not a local flood, but a worldwide flood in which waters covered whole mountains. You can choose to ignore this all you want, but your argument will continue to exhibit holes.
    Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_flood_myths

Then what about the fact of the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Not only do we have eye witnesses, but we have documentation from renown ancient historians such as Josephus. Will you just outright ignore that?

500 different accounts is an overwhelming number. If there are so many documented sources of a worldwide flood, it's a bit hard to scoff at it. You have to at least take it into consideration instead of just ignoring it.

No, no, that is merely god's divine hand guiding people to live in certain areas so they are easier to wipe out.

We do not have eyewitness accounts of Jesus's resurrection and Jospehus's writings about Jesus were likely forgeries.

Yes. 500 DIFFERENT accounts. Different. Radically so. Contradictory in basic details.

The sheer number of extremely different stories does not support your case. There are hundreds of myths about fairies around the world. Does that prove fairies are real?

There is zero supporting evidence for a global flood.

Which is why they do not occur.

You refuse to understand how little value those legends have in the light of scientific inquiry. You have a bunch of cultures, who were unaware that the other cultures existed, and physically incapable of making an honest claim that the world flooded (how do you know the world flooded unless you can see the world?), making claims that cannot honestly and accurately claim. Why is it your "evidences" are so weak? Why not provide actual physical evidence of a flood occurring?

How did two of every animal on earth fit onto a craft that was a mere 450ft long?
How did eight people feed two of animal on earth?
How did eight people dispose of the waste deposited by two of every animal on earth?
How did eight people store enough food to feed two of every animal on earth?
How did eight people store enough water to supply two of every animal on earth (remember, even with fresh rain water, it would have been salty!)
Where did all of the water go?
Why would god make the world appear in such a way that suggests that the story is bogus?

Those are basic questions whose answers are just going to be silly and laughable.

    LOL

The four gospels contradict each other. Why would you believe that god would be incapable of providing a story that does not contradict itself? There are also other resurrection stories found in history (since someone thought it was true, it must be true!), yet I don't see you adhering to them.

If you don't believe then simply DON'T CARE! ...but it obviously is (somehow) important to you! Just admit it my Man! If you coudn'nt care less than you wouldn't be posting. You must be someone who needs somebody else to make you feel better and give you validation! Listen my Man! Those are the thoughts/questions you have to work out yourself. I (who has faith) will not try to convince you on something that you have no idea about! So tell me? Should I spend/waste my time on you? ....Just as the question can be reversed! ...Why do you care what I believe? A True Athiest could give a (*)(*)(*)(*) what I think!

    So then answer the questions.

If you have answers, provide them. If you have empirical and verifiable evidence that two of every animal on earth was thrown onto a boat and the entire world flooded, share it!

It isn't that hard to validate your position if it is in fact valid.

So how in the hell do I validate faith? If you give me a clue with that then I can have a very good debate? ...Please how do I substatiate something in my ""heart" ...which athiests can not even relate to? How do I come across like anything other than an idiot to a non-believer? ...when my passion is beyond understanding for that group of people? ....What really annoys me is that many on this forum can not simply relate to "FAITH" ....with that said I am sure to be deemed a total Lunatic because of said beliefs...So tell me? How is a debate even possible??

The first questions is actually pretty easy, facts. We can all have faith in whatever, I whether it be fitting two of every animal on earth in a boat too small to even fit a small city, or that unicorns are actually real. But until that is validated with facts, it shouldn't be treated as valid.

There simply isn't any reason to. "Faith" is simply a cop out of believing the absolutely unbelievable for no other reason other than you want to.

Thanks Wolverine! Your response could not have validated my point any clearer! You fell right into that one. (sigh) what's the point trying to make athiests understand something that is beyond reason to them?

    Actually, I didn't validate anything.

Unless you agree that believing in nonsense is some how a noble cause.

Give that same fish tale several thousand years of oral retelling before it's even written down, and see how large that fish got.

The great thing about the black sea flood theory is that it fits and it's theoretically scientifically testable. Most of the black sea's waters below a certain depth contains absolutely no oxygen. Instead of artifacts disintegrating as they would in normal waters, it nearly perfectly preserves them. Unfortunately a major archaeological expedition throughout the black sea would be insanely expensive, not to mention probably politically impossible. And it certainly would not be definitive, as there would be absolutely no way to point to even a 5000 year old wreck and claim it was the true Noah's Ark.

But reason and logic along with geographical and geological evidence does lend credence to the idea that it was probably tales from survivors of a catastrophic flooding of the black sea valley, that were embellished and expanded on through retelling's till we arrived at the horse (*)(*)(*)(*) we read in the bible.
