Pedophiles marrying children is an issue of consent, not of the fact that the pedophile has attractions towards children. A child can not and should not be able to legally consent, which makes this completely different from a situation where two adults want to get married. I'm sure there are a lot of pedophiles who don't act of their attractions.

My son has a friend who is gay. He's in high school, and the other night I was told he was a 30-year-old man. So yeah, what makes you think men who have sex with high school boys won't want to marry them? The legal age for marriage is 16 I believe, so long as you have a parent's permission. So it is already possible for a 30-year-old man to marry a 16-year-old girl if her parents consent. So if gay marriage is allowed, we will have 30-year-old men marrying 16-year-old boys. You're not looking far enough ahead, Mak. I don't know what it's like there in Australia, but here in the U.S. the liberals are never satiated. Once their current victim cause du jour gets stale, they always go looking for a new one. Mark my words; once society no longer flinches at homosexuality, these people will dig up a new victim group. Because it's what they do. And it always has to be something taboo. We're already seeing the infant stages (no pun intended) if "pedo rights" popping up in this country. Over the next 50-100 years, I expect these things to gather more and more momentum. Just watch. We might not all be alive to see it happen, but "pedophile rights" is on the horizon, and "pedophobia" will be the new insult used to defend it.
