We are having a rather interesting provincial election now here in Nova Scotia.

I am almost certainly, (I would guess ninety to ninety five percent probability), going to vote for P. C. candidate Mr. Greg Morrow.

One of the ideas that I feel could catapult him to victory would be a back up plan centered in Sherbrooke Historic Village and the town of Canso, N.S. that may look like a Plan B.... (but it is in actuality meant to give him an extra fifty to two hundred votes which could well clinch the victory for him)?

Morrow was elected today at a virtual nomination meeting where 491 PC members voted. That’s about seven times the number of people who voted in the Liberal leadership race.

Morrow has worked in the radio industry for more than 23 years, telling the stories of people in his community. He has seen first-hand the impact the healthcare crisis has had on people and how the lack of economic opportunities has driven people away.

“I’m proud to be joining Tim Houston’s PC Team, which is putting forward real solutions to our healthcare crisis,” says Morrow. “Tim is a leader who does more than criticize the government. I live about one hundred miles from an area of the world that I strongly suspect is in the position of the proverbial "canary in a coal mine" as far as the danger of rising ocean levels is concerned.

In my part of Nova Scotia, the difference between high tide and low tide will be as little as one meter but in parts of the Bay of Fundy the difference can be between 52 to 56 feet. The Bay of Fundy has a funneling effect on tidal waters.

There are 143,000 acres of productive farmland in that area that have been taken back from the ocean by dikes. I am worried that if ocean levels rose by as little as thirty centimeters that part of the Bay of Fundy could be hit by high tides that could perhaps be close to five meters higher than normal.

I am willing to go all out and make a fool of myself on a totally voluntary basis to attempt to soothe my conscience that I tried my best to do what needs to be done at this time to set in motion a series of events that could actually prevent ocean levels from rising at all?!?!

Basically the concept for the film series that I have in mind involves a major star, such as Jim Carrey, playing the role of my grandfather, George Malloy. Johnny Galecki, (Leonard on Big Bang Theory), would be ideal to play the role of my Uncle William Malloy who was killed in Italy on January 2, 1945.

The film takes place in 1938 and 1939 and postulates an entirely different ending to the M. S. St. Louis saga that, as you can guess alters the future so that Uncle Bill not only is not killed in Italy but the holocaust is prevented from occurring.

I love the idea of 28 BILLION George Malloy/Jim Carrey Dollars being printed up, that work much like www.CalgaryDollars.ca except that they are in a sense props in a series of films designed to inspire several companies and nations to get working on a plan to turn deserts green, combat malnutrition worldwide, stabilize the climate all at the same time that we stimulate organized barter and create some jobs in the Nova Scotia, Montreal, USA and Israeli film market!Proposal for the creation of a Quebec provincial currency unit to save coastal communities from threat of rising ocean levels.

to accomplish a goal that seems to be possible common ground all across the political spectrum of Canadians.

All Canadians would like to see Canadian women feel less economic pressure that causes many of them to feel that they cannot keep their child and they choose to have an abortion as opposed to bring their child into a Canada where they feel that their child will be at a serious disadvantage sometimes due to their understanding that if they keep their child they may well be unable to finish their education.

Five hundred dollars per Canadian per month, can this work?

I am advocating the usage of the Bank of Canada that is owned by all Canadians to finance giving five hundred dollars per month to all thirty seven million Canadians.

It will of course mean much more to poorer Canadians than to millionaires........
but it could be surprising how many stay at home wives with cheap and stingy millionaire husbands who control the purse strings of the home may find this extra five hundred very helpful indeed.

I suspect that well over eighty percent of of Canadians will spend this money reasonably well and:
1. enrol their kids in more after school programs.....
2. begin to purchase a higher percentage of organic produce vs the cheap GMO stuff
3. purchase a newer car, SUV or half ton truck
4. do renovations to their homes
5. hire landscapers to do certain projects on their properties
6. pay down their debt loads, especially the higher interest ones
7. buy a new home rather than renting
8. buy a cottage outside the city so that they can get away for weekends
9. many will choose to move to rural Canada in order to escape relatively hectic city life
10. eat at nice restaurants more often

11. I also believe that a significant percentage of Canadian women who would have chosen to have an abortion under the present economic situation will CHOOSE to keep their babies as opposed to having an abortion!

COVID 19 has played a significant role in my province experience something like a real estate boom.

The boom in the Nova Scotia real estate market – and the broader Atlantic Canada housing sector – has been remarkable throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Over the last year, it has been a buying frenzy as out-of-town, work-from-home professionals scoop up limited inventories, driving up prices that are shattering records. After years of lacklustre growth, a population decline and a stagnant economy, this could be the moment that Nova Scotia has been waiting for.

As has been the case even before the COVID-19 public health crisis, major urban centres such as Toronto and Vancouver captured headlines for their monumental growth in the Canadian real estate market. But Robert Hogue, a senior economist at Royal Bank of Canada, says soaring home prices have now become a “small town issue.”

“Typically housing markets are really kind of working in isolation relative to other parts of the country, this time it’s all synchronized, very hot everywhere,” he said in an interview with CTV News. “This is no longer just a big city kind of Toronto, Vancouver story, this is a small town issue now.”

With lots of talk about bubbles and vulnerability, can eastern Canada sustain the momentum? Since the Bank of Canada (BoC) has kept its historically low interest rates on hold and the demand remains strong amid a population explosion, the record growth in Atlantic Canada might still have some more legs.

The Worgl Austria Great Depression Experiment and a real estate boom in rural America?

City in Austria Printed Local Currency
Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.
Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. Awareness is growing about the flaws in our current monetary system, and people are re-creating viable alternatives. Hi Mr. Morrow:

To give you a little context as to why I am thinking that your area is all set up for a decade long boom in real estate I need to plead guilty to have been bitten by something like a virus back in the summer of 2007.

My then four year old daughter was in a Disney film "The Circuit" that was shot at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish County.

While talking to some of the other stars during her day of shooting I found out that minimum wage for any actor or actress with one spoken line is roughly a thousand dollars per hour.

I believe that we Nova Scotians are in a position to form film production companies, cooperatives and even kibbutzes that could potentially produce several economically feasible and educational film series set in our area.

Moses Michael Coady (3 January 1882 – 28 July 1959) was a Roman Catholic priest, adult educator and co-operative entrepreneur best known for his instrumental role in the Antigonish Movement. Credited with introducing "an entirely new organizational technique: that of action based on preliminary study" to the co-operative movement in Canada, his work sparked a wave of co-operative development across the Maritimes and credit union development across English Canada.[1] Due to his role and influence, he is often compared to Alphonse Desjardins in Québec. The influence of the movement he led spread across Canada in the 1930s and by the 1940s and 1950s, to the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

Fighting a "weird pessimism"[edit]
After his ordination in Rome in 1910, Coady began teaching at St. FX. He put on special classes for students at risk of failing, and prided himself on being able to teach maths to anyone. He honed his considerable oratorical skills and developed a talent for making complex concepts easily understood.

Emigration from Nova Scotia continued, and Coady fought against a kind of "weird pessimism (that) so benumbed everybody that nothing has been attempted to break the spell."[3] In 1921 he helped organize the province’s school teachers. Typically earning about $35 a month, four out of five were young women who lost their jobs as soon as they married. At a meeting of the teachers’ fragile union in Truro that year he urged action and was elected secretary-treasurer. He spent much of the next 3 years expanding support for the union and founding/editing the Nova Scotia Teachers’ Bulletin.

The defining moment in Coady’s career came when he testified before a Canadian government commission in 1927. Drawing on his own experience and that of other Movement leaders like Jimmy Tompkins and Hugh MacPherson (an early co-operative pioneer) he maintained that the local economy could be revitalized if the right type of learning was cultivated in ordinary people: especially critical thinking, scientific methods of planning and production, and co-operative entrepreneurship.[4]

Launching a movement

The report of the MacLean Commission was catalytic: in late 1928 St. FX organized an Extension Department to carry adult education to the people of the province, appointing Coady as its first director. The Canadian Department of Fisheries asked Coady to help the government "organize the fishermen".

Through the years of the Antigonish Movement, financial support came from St. FX, the Carnegie Corporation and the Rockefeller Foundation (two New York-based charities), and the local Scottish Catholic Society. Coady’s own staff resources were supplemented by collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, and later by widespread volunteerism in the villages.[5]

The chronic decline in the fisheries gained new urgency with the onset of the Great Depression. Mines closed and thousands of miners were thrown out of work. Out-migration slowed, but for all the wrong reasons. Many jobless emigrants returned home.

Through the new department, Coady linked adult education with co-operative business ventures in the distinctive blend that became known as the Antigonish Movement. The immediate priorities of the Extension Department were the formation of ‘study clubs’, the emergence of new co-operatives and a school for leaders.

Study clubs gave ordinary Maritimers an opportunity to critically analyze the dynamics keeping them poor and to study possible solutions. The clubs helped people to plan and then successfully launch co-operatives in many fields: agricultural marketing, fish canning, dairy, retail sales and housing. Once the co-operatives were launched, the school for leaders kept their managers and directors continually stimulated with new and fresh ideas and business methods.

Coady also invested considerable energy in catalyzing and strengthening wholesale co-operatives around the Maritimes: including the United Maritime Fishermen, the United Fruit Companies of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Livestock Co-operatives (Maritimes). For example, he brokered conflicting interests and provided timely technical support in the formation of the United Maritime Fishermen. UMF was a trade association for the region’s fishing co-ops "with a strong adult education component". It promoted canneries and provided cooperative marketing services to fishermen to help them capture a greater share of the profit from their catch.

Dear Mr. Branson:

It is my firm belief that the number one technological device to reduce atmospheric greenhouse gases has already been invented. It is the tree.

What is desperately needed at this time is not necessarily a new mechanical device but instead a paradigm shift in economic theory regarding monetary policy. We require a readily understandable explanation on how leaders in business and government can direct not only millions, but actually trillions of dollars of investment into combating global warming.

One of the most effective practical methods that could be put into place in the least amount of time would be dozens of the largest possible desalinization plants all along the Mediterranean and Red Seas. Huge quantities of fresh water could be dripped onto the Sinai and Sahara deserts and voila, well chosen species of newly planted fast growing trees could soon change the color of these relatively desolate areas, significantly reduce atmospheric CO2, positively affect local weather patterns and at the same time significantly counterbalance the increases in worldwide ocean levels as the polar ice caps melt. This will buy us some extra time and thus expand the “very brief window of opportunity to deal with climate change.”

So who is going to finance the construction of all these massive installations not to mention the planting of all those seedling trees?

I believe that it is possible for you to do this yourself Mr. Branson. You have already created a Virgin currency unit/coupon which has astonishing long term potential. My wife Maria Jose just returned from a two week trip to the British VIRGIN Islands. It is theoretically possible to link your Virgin coupon with the national currency of a small nation and you could soon be playing around in macro-economics. Considering the volume of business being done through your Virgin Group I would submit that you already are.

Pope Benedict XVI may be in an even stronger position than you Mr. Branson to transform the world economy virtually overnight through the introduction of a new Vatican Currency Unit that could be linked with each and every national currency where the Vatican State is free to do business.

I plan to elaborate in great detail on these two major alternatives in a later writing but I felt that you and your staff should now see the simple explanation that I wrote up for applying this theory within a micro-economy to greatly reduce unemployment. Although combating global warming would seem to be a conflicting goal to job creation, there need be no dissonance when we all have a better grasp of the big picture.

My name is Dennis Tate. I lived most of my forty seven years in West Lochiel Lake, Guysborough County. I am running for MLA as an independent in the area of Pictou Centre so that I can help as many people as possible become more aware of what I am sure is the real reason why our roads are in disrepair, why hospital beds are unused, why so many of the rural schools have been shut down, why our soldiers in Afghanistan are poorly equipped and why many if not most of our young people may have to leave Nova Scotia to find jobs.

When well trained workers have high quality technology to work with then the total of all wages and benefits paid out to employees is only a fraction of the retail value of the products they produce. As a result of this fact the only way to move products out of warehouses is to extend higher and higher levels of credit. One problem with an abundance of red ink is that compound interest on all this government, business and personal debt over a period of decades will grow to astronomical levels. At this time there is approximately TEN TIMES as much debt in Canada as there is money. A simple explanation for how this happened can be seen here:

In my opinion this rather simple mathematical problem is perhaps the number one cause of inflation in the Canadian economy over the past three decades. This is also perhaps the number one reason why our costs of production are so high and Canadian products cannot compete on the world markets as well as they could under better conditions.

From 1940 to 1970 the Government of Canada put roughly half of the total money supply into the economy through loans issued through the federally owned Bank of Canada. Provincial and municipal governments could borrow the money to build roads, schools, hospitals and sewage treatment facilities at zero or one percent interest. In 1970 we changed our system and since that time a higher and higher percentage of all government debt is financed through loans issued through privately owned banks. At this time it is ninety eight percent. This policy may be great for our banking sector but it was estimated that in the one year of 1995 alone our federal government could have saved roughly SIXTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in interest payments if we had gone back to creating half the total money supply through these low interest rate loans issued through the bank that is OWNED BY ALL CANADIANS.

Considering that our deficit was approximately thirty billion dollars for that year, simply by changing back to an already proven monetary and banking system, we could theoretically have had a FEDERAL BUDGET SURPLUS OF THIRTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS in 1995.

The massive cutbacks in the Canadian military, in health care, highway construction, social programs and education were profoundly affected by these accounting practices?

So what can you and I do about this problem?
1. If we will do our homework and study this question we can put pressure on our provincial level politicians to create a provincially owned bank. A true Bank of Nova Scotia owned by all Nova Scotians could be used to finance town and municipal government projects at zero or one percent interest just as The Bank of Canada used to do.

2. Town and municipal government officials in New Glasgow, Stellarton and Trenton should seriously consider creating a local currency unit such as has been done in Ithaca, New York.

3. It is also possible for groups of concerned individuals to get together and organize a local barter exchange as a cooperative. I just completed the first year of the Information Technology Program at Stellarton Campus of NSCC. I am running in Pictou Centre because I know that the towns of New Glasgow, Stellarton and Trenton have the people, the industrial base and the technological capability to become powerhouses of job creation not only for this area but also for all the surrounding regions.

I believe you will be tremendously encouraged by the theory presented by biologist Carl Cantrell who makes a convincing case that global cooling can be initiated simply by pumping vast quantities of fresh water into the worlds largest deserts.

Mr. Cantrell has agreed to become an official co-applicant along with me in my submissions for your Virgin Earth award. My primary contribution will be to figure out a method to PAY for this project which as Mr. Cantrell has stated, will be extremely expensive.

In Anti-Armageddon Paradigm Shift Monetary Policy Theory The Introduction I stated that you Sir Richard, or perhaps the Roman Catholic Pontiff were two of the most logical choices to FINANCE this possible remedy for global warming. I shall attempt in a later writing to elaborate on a method whereby perhaps I may be able to finance this project myself through an organized barter and film production company that works in cooperation with several other film production cooperatives and/or companies. Here is a brief outline of how this could be done.

Global Warming II by Carl Cantrell

So how is our problem of continental drying causing global warming? It all has to do with vegetation and sunlight. When sun light hits a plant, it causes a process which we call photosynthesis where the energy from the sun light creates oxygen for us to breath, water for us to drink, and is stored as sugar for plants and animals to use. When the same sun light hits the soil, all of its energy turns into heat and is radiated back into the atmosphere, carried away by running surface water such as rain fall, is carried away to other areas by our winds, and diffuses down into the soil towards the earth's crust. All of this warms our planet increasing its average temperature.

Therefore, the less vegetation you have on the planet, the more sunlight is being turned into heat and the warmer the planet becomes. This is very critical because warmer and dryer winds dry out other land areas faster decreasing the vegetation on those land areas. Less humidity in the air also reflects less sun light back out into space so that more sun light strikes the earth and more heat is generated.

The truth is that you can do more to decrease global warming by just reducing the average temperature for the Sahara Desert by one or two degrees than if we humans completely quit using fossil fuels and returned to the cave.

So, how would you start working to resolve this problem? Easy, cool the deserts and get some vegetation growing on them as soon as possible. But the method is much more complex than that. You have to use the prevailing trade winds in relation to the deserts to get the best results as quickly as possible and it will be extremely expensive.

Then we build desalination plants along the coast near these water sheds and pipe water to the tops or ridges of the water sheds

This will do a number of things. First, it will increase the moisture in the desert soil so that it will develop water tables and water will begin to run in the streams. This water will increase the amount of vegetation in the area and decrease the amount of heat being generated by sun light cooling the watered area and all areas down wind of the watered area. As more available water evaporates, it will cool the air and reflect more sun light back out into space cooling the area even more. Cooler and more humid air will have less of a heating effect on areas down wind and will reflect more sun light back into space in those areas cooling areas we won't be watering yet. Cooler and more humid air will also have less of a warming effect on our seas and oceans.

Rain water running off of cooler soil will decrease the heating effect on our oceans and our planet crusts which will decrease catastrophic storm activities for other areas and seismic activity for the entire planet. Also, returning more ocean water to the surface and aquifers of our continents will lower the sea levels providing more usable land for us to farm and build on.

With cooler desert areas and increasing vegetation, less water will evaporate from our deserts increasing the amount of surface water even more and increasing the amount of vegetation and animal life by huge amounts because deserts currently take up more than 20% of our land surface. Populations will be able to spread out and there will be less competition for existing land areas.

This strategy has to be done in steps with the first step being to begin slowing the rate at which our global warming is increasing. We need to focus on that until we have brought it to a point to where the temperature is not increasing any more and is reasonably stable. While we are doing this, we need to come to a global consensus of just how cool we want to cool our planet down to. If we cool it down too much, we will begin to have devastatingly harsh winters in large populated areas and even cause an ice age to set in.

Then we begin cooling the planet down to a point which will be most beneficial for all countries or the planet as a whole. We need to gradually bring the temperature down because there may be a lag effect in which the planet will continue cooling after we stop increasing our efforts to cool it off more. We may even want to stop cooling the planet once or twice before we reach our targeted temperatures to see if there is a lag effect

We need to start working on this as soon as possible because, if the planet reaches a point to where it is warming faster than our technology can possibly stop or reverse this warming trend, then our planet is lost and all life will cease to exist on this planet within a relatively short period of time. We will need to start with the largest and hottest deserts because cooling them will have the greatest benefit in the least time. (Global Warming II by biologist Carl Cantrell).

Greg.... as you have probably noticed virtually every implied shift in the world economy that seemed to be advocated in the film "An Inconvenient Truth" has been pulled off from April of 2020 until now in July of 2021.

In my opinion Mr. Al Gore engaged in oversimplification of the complexity of climate change. One thing that I am sure of is that deliberately turning deserts green through mega-scale desalination of ocean water would produce more food and.... would be good news for the owners of vulnerable real estate along the Bay of Fundy.

NARRATOR: A 10% fall in sunlight meant that particle pollution was having a far bigger effect than anyone had thought possible.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: Our models led us to believe the human impact on the dimming was close to half to one per cent. So what we discovered was tenfold.

NARRATOR: INDOEX showed that the pollution particles were blocking some sunlight themselves; but far more significant was what they were doing to the clouds. They were turning them into giant mirrors. Clouds are made of droplets of water. These only form when water vapour in the atmosphere starts to condense on the surface of naturally occurring airborne particles, typically pollen or sea salt. As they grow, the water droplets eventually become so heavy they fall as rain. But Ramanathan found that polluted air contained far more particles than the unpolluted air, particles of ash, soot and sulphur dioxide.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: We saw ten times more particles in the polluted air mass north of the Maldives compared with what we saw south of the Maldives which was a pristine air mass.

NARRATOR: In the polluted air billions of man-made particles provided ten times as many sites around which water droplets could form. So polluted clouds contained many more water droplets, each one far smaller than it would be naturally. Many small droplets reflect more light than fewer big ones. So the polluted clouds were reflecting more light back into space, preventing the heat of the sun getting through. This was the cause of Global Dimming.

PROF VEERABHADRAN RAMANATHAN: Basically the Global Dimming we saw in the North Indian Ocean, it was contributed on the one hand by the particles themselves shielding the ocean from the sunlight, on the other hand making the clouds brighter. So this insidious soup, consisting of soot, sulphates, nitrates, ash and what have you, was having a double whammy on the Global Dimming.

NARRATOR: And when he looked at satellite images, Ramanathan found the same thing was happening all over the world. Over India. Over China, and extending into the Pacific. Over Western Europe... extending into Africa. Over the British Isles. But it was when scientists started to investigate the effects of Global Dimming that they made the most disturbing discovery of all. NARRATOR: Travis suspected the grounding might make a small but detectable change to the climate. But what he observed was both immediate and dramatic.

DR DAVID TRAVIS: We found that the change in temperature range during those three days was just over one degrees C. And you have to realise that from a layman's perspective that doesn't sound like much, but from a climate perspective that is huge.

NARRATOR: One degree in just three days no one had ever seen such a big climatic change happen so fast. This was a new kind of climate change. Scientists call it Global Dimming. Two years ago most of them had never even heard of it, yet now they believe it may mean all their predictions about the future of our climate could be wrong. The trail that would lead to the discovery of Global Dimming began 40 years ago, in Israel with the work of a young English immigrant called Gerry Stanhill. A trained biologist, Gerry got a job helping to design irrigation schemes. His task was to measure how strongly the sun shone over Israel.

DR GERALD STANHILL (Agricultural Research Organisation, Israel): It was important for this work to measure solar radiation, because that is the factor that basically determines how much water crops require.

NARRATOR: For a year Gerry collected data from a network of light meters; the results were much as expected, and were used to help design the national irrigation system. But twenty years later, in the 1980s, Gerry decided to repeat his measurements to check that they were still valid. What he found, stunned him.

DR GERALD STANHILL: Well I was amazed to find that there was a very serious reduction in sunlight, the amount of sunlight in Israel. In fact, if we compare those very early measurements in the 1950s with the current measurements, there was a staggering 22% drop in the sunlight, and that really amazed me.

NARRATOR: A 22% drop in solar energy was simply massive. If it was true surely Israelis should be freezing. There had to be something wrong. So when Gerry published his results they were ignored. DR GERALD STANHILL: I must say the publications had almost no effect whatsoever on the scientific community.

Trudeaumania was just gearing up when I immigrated to Canada in late 1966. I, too, was impressed with Trudeau. He was intelligent, articulate, with liberal ideas. And as Prime Minister, Trudeau repatriated the Canadian Constitution and told the morals’ police to stay out of people’s bedrooms. But then…but then. As Anthony’s famous speech in Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar reminds us… “the evil that men do live after them while the good is often interred with their bones. So let it be with Caesar.”

But somehow this worked backward for Trudeau. Many Canadians still think highly of Pierre Trudeau, but in 1974 he did one terrible thing that changed the lives, for present and future, of all Canadians, for the worse. Trudeau gave the leading operations of the Bank of Canada over to the private banks operating in Canada.

The Bank of Canada was first established by Prime Minister Richard Bennet in 1935 as a private central bank, but was then nationalized by William Lyon Mackenzie King in 1938. By nationalizing the bank, Mackenzie King meant for it to belong to the people so the Canadian government could borrow funds with little or no interest for capital expenditures. The mandate of the newly nationalized Bank of Canada was to act as the banker to the government and to manage the public debt. As Mackenzie King famously said: “Once a nation parts with the control of their currency and credit, it matters not who makes that nation’s laws. Usury, once in control, will wreck any nation. Until the control of the issue of currency and credit is restored to government and recognized as its most sacred responsibility, all talk of sovereignty of parliament and of democracy is idle and futile.”

So the Bank of Canada was nationalized in 1938 and the government could now borrow money with little or no interest. And it worked. The Canadian government built freeways, public transportation systems, subway line, airports, the St. Lawrence Seaway and funded a national health care system and the Canada Pension Plan. But then Trudeau, under the influence of the international financial group called Basel’s
Committee’s Recommendations (The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision) made the decision to halt the borrowing of money from the Bank of Canada, and instead, chose to borrow from the private banks who instead of lending to the government at no interest, or low interest, introduced higher interest rates along with compound interest.

All banks know very well the magic of compound interest. And Pierre Trudeau must have known that the mounting compounded national debt would lead to Canadians eventually owing a dollar fifty for every dollar of their disposable incomes. After all, he studied economics at the London School of Economics. Surely the professors there knew about compound interest.

So Pierre Trudeau, instead of feeling blessed that Canada, unlike the US, had a nationalized central bank, signed our bank away to the private banks. Couldn’t Trudeau, such an educated man, surmise that citizens in a few years would be struggling to make car payments and meet rent and mortgages and student loans and to buy healthy food while last year’s profits for the big five (that’s Royal Bank, TD Bank, Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal and CIBC amounted to $31.7 billion?) If he did, he didn’t care. But it doesn’t have to be this way. It really doesn’t. Our Bank of
Canada is still there. Next time." (Ms. Betty Krawczyk)

I was able to cast my own personal ballot for Mr. Greg Morrow yesterday in Antigonish and my wife is planning on voting for him tomorrow in Sherbrooke.

Here is one of the most important issues facing Canadians at this time. I am unvaccinated and I want to see my right to refuse this experimental vaccine protected. (I instead take zinc, D3, C and MSM and I feel that my immune system has been boosted nicely which can be argued may be the best way to respond to this virus).

Canada has a few truly courageous political leaders who are on the side of us ordinary Canadians! Mr. Maxime Bernier's guest speaker here is both brilliant as well as courageous!

To the degree that my plan is stupid......
or naive......
or ignorant.......
my humble apologies but I can't help at least thinking that Mr. Greg Morrow at the provincial level of politics here in Nova Scotia might just be able to play a significant role in bringing in a massive increase in cooperation between Canada's Conservative Party with the People's Party of Canada led by Mr. Maxime Bernier.

My suggestion is to create a new position in the CPC of "Artistic Director"...... define this position as paying one dollar more per year than that of National Leader of the CPC........
and ask the opinion of CPC members if they could work with Mr. Maxime Bernier if he were chosen to be given this office?!

.... (actually.... nine hundred and ninety nine dollars per year more than Mr. Erin O'Toole earns would be wiser, 999 is 666 turned upside down)?!

I actually did elaborate on this basic idea beginning on November 11, 2019. (A logical update to what I wrote then is that Ms. Laura Lynn Tyler-Thompson BE DEFINED AS AN HONORARY MEMBER OF THE PPC..... even when she is representing the CHP.... and we run no candidate against her in any election that she happens to be in...... and we PPC members supporter her if she runs at the provincial level)???

I was a member of Canada's Liberal Party from 2009 to 2015.

I left Canada's Liberal Party late in 2015 after I saw that P. M. Justin Trudeau had been given a majority government. I joined Canada's Conservative Party early in 2016 partly in order to promote Mr. Peter MacKay for national leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.

I left Canada's Conservative Party in 2018 and joined the newly formed People's Party of Canada. One of my reasons is that a minor league aspiring politician like myself can accomplish more as a member of a smaller party than as a member of one of the big ones.

I have a very interesting suggestion as to how Mr. Erin O'Toole could begin a fascinating dialogue with Mr. Maxime Bernier. To whatever ever degree this dialogue would be public is a question that they both have to answer and I could only guess.

I would suggest the creation of two new positions in both Canada's Conservative Party as well as in the People's Party of Canada. The two new positions are "Artistic Director of the Conservative Party of Canada and Artistic Director of the People's Party of Canada.

There is enough information here to begin a dialogue.......

All that Mr. O'Toole would have to suggest to be taken seriously by Mr. Bernier would be for the contract with him to be for at least five if not ten years.... and for the position to pay five thousand dollars more per month than he himself earns as national leader of the CPC!

Will Mr. Erin O'Toole be able to lure Mr. Bernier back into the CPC?

Note... I am biased due to my own personal aspirations to be chosen as national leader of the People's Party of Canada but.......
my motives are also complex because I actually want to convince Mr. Maxime Bernier to turn down this offer from Mr. O' Toole and remain national leader of the PPC.

I am actually hoping to become something of an unofficial "Artistic Director of the PPC" and I want to MAKE NEWS.... and get people thinking!

In my opinion it is critical that Canadians become well informed and fire P. M. Justin Trudeau from the office of Prime Minister because it seems that his ties to Mr. Bill Gates and even to Mr. George Soros are too great for the good of the majority of Canadians.

My suggestion off the top of my head would be for Mr. Maxime Bernier to do a video where he encourages Mr. Derek Sloan to rival him in the upcoming People's Party of Canada Leadership Race....... (which can even be tweaked to include a possible union and / or at least partial cooperation between the PPC with the proposed True North Party that Mr. Derek Sloan is beginning............

In my opinion Ms. Shannon Sheppard is telling the truth about how her friend's daughter reacted to the Covid 19 vaccine. We happen to know somebody personally who also knows the mother of the young lady who had the nasty reaction to the vaccine.

In my opinion Dr. Robert Strang is violating some aspects of The Nuremburg Code.

You all must choose as to whom you will believe... .Ms. Shannon Sheppard or Dr. Robert Strang?

This message that I posted to a public political discussion forum will focus some attention on your choices.

If my employer attempts to force me to take this vaccine or be fired... then I will be asking them for an official letter explaining why they terminated me and I will be showing this letter to a lawyer.

Workplace vaccination supports and policies
The goal of Ontario’s COVID-19covid 19 vaccination plan is for everyone in Ontario to be able to get a COVID-19covid 19 vaccination if they want one.

Workers who are considered employees under the Employment Standards Act (ESA) have the right to take job-protected infectious disease emergency leave if they need to take time off work to get vaccinated or because of side effects after vaccination.

An employer cannot penalize an employee in any way for taking or planning on taking an infectious disease emergency leave.

The OHSA and the ESA do not directly address vaccination or the enforcement of employer vaccination policies for workers. I just heard some wonderful news from a high profile lawyer in Ottawa that I take to mean
that I cannot be laid off due to my vaccination status.

This lawyer says that an employer in Canada cannot put an employee on administrative leave for not being vaccinated.

The Halifax Regional Municipality has reversed a previous decision not to require COVID-19 vaccinations of its employees.

The city said earlier this week that vaccination would not be mandatory for its workers.

But on Thursday morning, a news release from the municipality said it is now preparing a mandatory vaccination policy for employees that will require them to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 15.

The news release said the decision was made in light of an announcement from the province Wednesday that 11,000 provincial employees will have to be double-vaccinated by Nov. 30.

The municipality said any city employees who are not fully vaccinated by Dec. 15 will "face employment consequences, including unpaid administrative leave, unless they have received an employer-approved exemption."

All new staff will also be required to be fully vaccinated.

No mandatory vaccines for CBRM staff
Cape Breton Regional Municipality is taking a different approach.

Chief administrative officer Marie Walsh said when the province fully enters Phase 5 and lifts masking restrictions, CBRM staff who are not completely vaccinated will have to continue wearing a mask and submit to regular testing.

"There will be no mandatory vaccinations, and that's why we'll have to put in certain protocols to make sure that staff are safe and that people coming in are safe," she said.

"I really don't believe in the mandatory vaccinations for all staff. For some people, depending on the job that they do, it should be required, but there are some people that for whatever reason, for health or otherwise, are not comfortable or can't get vaccinated, and I just don't think that their job should be at risk because they can't get vaccinated."

Other municipalities have various policies
The Region of Queens does not have a mandatory vaccine policy. The mayor, Darlene Norman, said she is afraid of how many staff the municipality would lose if such a policy was adopted.

"Some people in the area are very determined and resistant," said Norman.

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg has not made vaccines mandatory, but under its workplace safety protocol, which took effect Oct. 6, if employees and councillors are not fully vaccinated, they have to wear masks at all times in municipal facilities and be tested twice a week.

The Town of Truro adopted a similar policy in September. It requires masking and regular testing, but "reserves the right to require employees, councillors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated" if there is an outbreak in the town and surrounding area.

New employees however, do have to show proof of vaccination before they are hired.

Kings County has a draft policy requiring proof of vaccination that deputy CAO Rob Frost expects will be adopted by county council on Oct. 19.

Annapolis County has a draft policy requiring proof of vaccination that CAO David Dick expects will be adopted on Oct. 12.
