Actually NAFTA was crafted by the Trilateral Commission in which Presidents Jimmy Carter, G.H. Bush (41) and Bill Clinton were members of.

It's true that more Democrats voted against NAFTA than Republicans but there were enough Democrats to support NAFTA.

But who were the biggest opponents against NAFTA and warned America of a loud "sucking sound" that would follow NAFTA ?
