They have a high rate of murder because of gangs and drugs. That is a totally separate issue from mass shootings. You can't compare or include it in this discussion, to do so is fallacious. These FBI stats are from 2014 but are interesting: "Among the roughly 6,000 cases in which the race of the victim and the offender were known, the number of blacks killed by blacks rose to 2,380 last year, an increase of about 8 percent from 2014." Black murderers (of other blacks) are overrepresented in the stats. I don't know why. If it were a racial thing, they'd be killing more whites, but they aren't. Also I don't know what percent of those 2380 murders were by firearm .... There are pathologies in the black communities that I'm guessing are complex. Fewer fathers, more poverty, over indulgent mother's, drugs (?) That said, mass murderers in rhe USA are usually white males, killing other whites, except for the 2 or 3 Muslims in the last 2 years.

Well, excuse me, but I disagree. There are wide swathes of gun infested-areas of the country, especially in the south, where decades have gone by with no mass shootings or even murders. Also, if I'm not mistaken, gun sales are on the rise, but crime is decreasing.
