Except you'd need a quote from a Trump supporter talking about what a genius business man Trump is.

I never thought Donald Trump was much of a businessman. I've always felt his claims of being a "dealmaker" were ridiculous in the extreme.

All I know is that he has more money than he started with and given fifty years in real estate that's no mean accomplishment I don't however know that such makes him a genius though

The cult designation is mostly independent of Trump. Unless you are talking cult of personality. The cult characterisation of conservatives comes more from the adherence to alternate realities. The lock step adherence to the party narrative. The insistence that outside news is fake. The constant blaming of the other, of outsiders. The mischaracterization of others
The anti-intellectual and anti-educational stances. The denial of global warming. The fawning over an obviously flawed, corrupt leader. Mostly though, it is the insistence on alternate facts, truth that isn't truth, alternative narratives.

Act like a cult, be accused of being a cult.

I just can't figure it out, why anyone would accuse American conservatives of having cults like aspects.

Interesting. I wasn't aware that being a skeptic of global warming was a characteristic of "cultism".

Alternate realities. The refusal to accept contrary evidence. Resorting to conspiracy theories...

I'm one of the biggest critics of conspiracy theories. And there are still qualified scientists who don't embrace climate change.

As far as I am concerned, "global warming is a hoax" is a conspiracy theory. I don't think that there are any credible scientists who deny the link between the concentration of CO2 and other carbon based molecules in the atmosphere and the temperature of that atmosphere.

What is being said about trump and the constitution has been said about the last 4 or 5 presidents by the partisan opposition . They are just more hysterical this time .

The next dem that is president will face what trump has faced from the opposition but msm wont be as virulent against a dem. But right wing media will

The dems always up the anty and it it becomes a contest in stupidity and irresponsibility .

We will turn into a 3rd worlf banana republic because the people are turning into the kind of people who create shitholes.

~ Trump is an embellishment of himself - an exaggeration of everything he has accomplished. It seems that he has given himself a name brand - as odd as it seems.
Both real estate and entertainment are cut-throat backstabbing business endeavors. I think that is why he survives the swamp in D.C.

I have! It is the people who are the disloyal opposition, the resistance, people who have consumed so much of the hate Trump kool aid that they are afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

~ Sadly I believe that you are correct. I am hoping my generation will hold this off for a few more years. Right now Trump is all we have.

I don't think it is a "hoax". Simply an example of group think among like minded people.

partly agree, one side is pro-oil, the other side pro-green energy

I do know that we are changing the chemical make up of the ozone, what effect that will have long term is up for debate as lot of unknown variables

then you have other groups like vegans that want to ban meat, ect..... lot of groups with agenda's on both sides

but I do think we are seeing a green house effect, but is it being over exaggerated, time will tell, for all we know it will prevent the next ice age

kinda like the new e-cig scare Trump latched on too, using something unrelated to cause fear in something else, in this case oil-based thc e-cigs (with vitamin e added) to the nicotine based e-cigs - agenda's

The people who use this sort of language are just garden variety trolls, and are undeserving of your time or attention. They call you a cultist to insult you, not because they believe you are a cultist. See Alinsky #5. "Ridicule is your most powerful weapon..."

Yet most everything leftists believe is, at best, counterfactual, and some of it so dystopian as to be insane.

    1) Increased defense spending
    2) appointments of social conservatives to the federal bench including the Supreme Court.
    3) clamping down on illegal immigration.
    4) killing Iranian terrorists.
    5) opposition to elective abortion
    6) giving NASA a solid goal (returning to the moon and then to Mars) even though I'm no fan of the mission architecture.

    That enough?

~ Yes indeed. I believe this will cause them to lose once again. They seem a depressed angry bunch - almost sort of a religion - like a cult.

And he would have had more money if he'd invested the money daddy gave him in a good mutual fund. Of course that's speculation since without his tax returns we don't know what he has and what he owes.

The US budget is already more than the next 5 largest militaries combined, why is this such a priority? And do recall he then took $8 billion away from them for his useless monument.

I thought the right were against activist judges. Who knew?

There has been little perceptive decline in illegal immigration and what there is is offset by illegals staying longer.

I'm assuming here that you mean the General? That was so incredibly stupid as we've seen by the fallout in Iraqi protests and injured soldiers. If he had simply said that he'd taken out an Iraqi terrorist who was the target and then later announced that the general was in the group we wouldn't have had the issues that arose as a result of an act of war. On the global scale the Iranians looked like the sensible ones with their limited response. A further problem is that act of war united Iranians that had been protesting their government against ours.

Too many debates on abortion already.

This isn't really something major to brag on and is further complicated by the fact that for the first time ever NASA is not led by a scientist thanks to Trump. His aversion to science is astounding.
