You weren't going to try and say Hamas wasn't created by the Palestinians, were you.

Thank you for your opinion, I don't share it. Iran can indeed slide deeper into the hands of the Revolutionary guards...I don't particularly feel like sitting here and explaining how many people are going to have to die for.... maybe.... maybe things will be different. But truth is you don't really care anyway, which is exactly where we differ in our views.

    Hamas - Wikipedia
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas

Hamas is a Palestinian Sunni-Islamist fundamentalist organization. It has a social service wing, Dawah, and a military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. It has been the de facto governing authority of the Gaza Strip since its takeover of that area in 2007. During this period it fought several wars with Israel. It is regarded, either in whole or in part, as a terrorist organization by several countries and international organizations, most notably …

Hamas rose as an offshoot of the Gaza Mujama al-Islamiya branch of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood,[122][123] which had been actively encouraged by Israel to expand as a counterweight to the influence of the secular Palestine Liberation Organization

Hamas was founded in 1987,[98][130] soon after the outbreak of the First Intifada, the first popular uprising against the Israeli occupation. Creating Hamas to participate in the revolt was regarded as a survival measure to enable the Brotherhood itself, which refused to fight against Israel,[131] to hold its own against other competing Palestinian nationalist groups. By forming a military wing distinct from its social charity organizations, it was hoped that the latter would be insulated from being targeted by Israel.[132] Co-founder Sheik Ahmed Yassin was convinced that Israel was endeavouring to destroy Islam, and concluded that loyal Muslims had a religious obligation into destroy Israel.[129] The short term goal of Hamas was to liberate Palestine, including modern-day Israel, from Israeli occupation . The long-term aim sought to establish an Islamic state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.....snip~

I for one would like to see regime change in Iran, but I would not ask America or any Western country to involve themselves in actions to precipitate the change. It's solely up to the citizens of Iran to independently overthrow the regime suppressing them. Just as the starving people in Venezuela need to overthrow Maduro and his communist repressive regime.

And you persist? Man, the pain it must have caused you then when you read these:

I left the 18, 124, 125, 126 and 127 references because they refer to sources on this page here:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas#Gaza_Islamic_roots_and_establishment_of_Hamas

You're not only dishonest and/or ignorant, but furthermore you assume we're idiots.

I actually think Venezuela is different, there are already anarchy, hunger. I think it's wrong to deliberately push a country towards anarchy where people will suffer immensely, if the country is already there... well you can only go up from there

Uhm, the Israelis encouraged what was already created. Imagine that.

Do you understand logic at all?

Not only do I understand it but I am going to explain it to you: Divide to conquer.

Israel created Hamas for the very same reasons they backed Islamists rebels in Syria: Short-sightedness and the enemy of my enemy thing.

In Palestine's case they created what Gustav Meyrink would describe as a golem, or for us a Frankenstein monster, that broke free of its master control and ran amok.

In Syria's case, Russia was there, policing the ME.

"Regime change" in Iran would be a good thing, whatever they've got is not "representative", it certainly is repressive and it is clearly against whatever US interests. What any unrest over repression there produces it is hard to imagine a more repressive and anti-"American" regime would be the outcome.

Radical? Come to think of it, that sounds right: it is a radical idea to make Israel-Palestine into ONE state. This way when the Muslim majority gains control of the government, the country will finally have peace as well as democracy.

But, of course, those of you on the far right do not want a one state solution. You want a state of perpetual war in order to make perpetual war profits. As far as you are concerned, the USA be d@mned. Tax everyone to death in order to pay for the war and for the war profits.

    NONE DARE CALL IT TREASON.

"Conservatives"? It that what these fanatical Islamic theocrats call themselves now?

All western democracies have fought to be free and Iranians are obviously willing to do the same. Good on them!
