    What the hell?
This sentence will not hold water.
It's been 17 years. Where has this judge been?

Laughable. At first, I thought it was Onion that made this report. If that ruling is genuine, the court should realize al-Qaeda is Sunni, not Shiia as is Iran. That, in fact, Iran has been the world's biggest victim of Sunni terrorism.

No doubt part of the ongoing changing history, aka 1984, to demonise Iran that many Trump supporters will believe. I noticed that Wiki has been recently edited to say that Al-quida were in Iran prior to 2001 planning with Iran to attack the US mainland using hijacked planes.

It appears that the article you cited is at best imprecise, if not inaccurate, about what the 9/11 Commission reported concerning Iran's connections to AQ.

The Commission determined that there was “strong evidence that Iran facilitated the transit of al Qaeda members into and out of Afghanistan before 9/11, and that some of these were future 9/11 hijackers.”

There's more about the two here:

    Al Qaeda’s Iran connection
The Islamic Republic and the terror group are lethal allieshttps://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/sep/8/al-qaedas-iran-connection/

Though you're absolutely right, that region constantly arms their own enemies to take out other enemies. It's more messed up than people think.

It'd be like the bloods and crips arming the kkk to take out a rival ms13 gang.

They haven't figured out that Iran was aiding and supporting AQ. But I did note TandJ trying to downplay that. Thinking Iran was all innocent like and wore Halos.

I don't know about Iran being the biggest victim of Sunni terrorism - it appears that the Shi'a in Iraq have suffered worse - but Iran has supported Sunni jihadist groups such as Hamas. There were also numerous reports about Iran providing sanctuary to AQ officials/operatives such as Osama bin Laden's son Sa'ad.

As the old saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend...

No they reported accurately with what the Judge did. Are you trying to say they gave background on Iran and AQ?

Cmon now you know leftist Judges are all about making rulings and indictments against those that will never see Justice in a courtroom or settlement. Its a symbolic thingy for the leftness. Kind of like showing they actually did something besides be a **** up.

Ask Mueller he indicted a bunch of Russians that will never see the inside of a US courtroom.

From the OP's article, it also looks like action is still pending against Saudi Arabia, and it does make at least cursory mention of evidence against Iran:

“In December 2011, a New York federal court held a hearing and found that the evidence presented established that Iran’s provision of material support to al-Qaeda was a cause of the 9/11 attacks and the resulting damage, injuries, and deaths,” said attorney Robert Haefele of Motley Rice LLC, who represents the plaintiffs.

“It is difficult for those injured or left behind to ignore the findings of the federal court about Iran’s culpability," Haefele continued. "But those findings should not overshadow the mountain of evidence presented against Saudi Arabia, which remains central to the plaintiffs’ case.”

However, the judgment is largely symbolic. Iran has never responded to the lawsuit and is unlikely to ever pay.

The order does make the families eligible to collect from a small fund of seized Iranian assets that has been used in the past to compensate families of victims of Hezbollah attacks and other violence attributed to Iran.

The judgment is part of the larger case the 9/11 families are pursuing against Saudi Arabia. There’s a conference in that case later this month.

All of the 9/11 attackers were Sunnis. 15 of them were Saudis, 2 were from the UAE, 1 from Lebanon and their ringleader Mohamed Atta was from Egypt. Of course, Osama bin Laden was a Saudi and the mastermind of the attacks, Khalid Sheik Mohammed was a Pakistani. As you know, bin Laden was killed in Pakistan and KSM was also apprehended in Pakistan before being shipped off to Club Gitmo.

    Fascinating

Saudi-Owned Network Announces Film Accusing Iran of Involvement in 9/11 Attacks

I wonder why they would want to do that. ;)

Excellent article below by the people who were looking for compensation and the truth.

    Cont'd https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entr...bit-hole-of-blame_us_59ef7e1be4b04809c0501194

Looks like this is the US Goverment's Netanyahu Iran Nukes show.

I am still rubbing my eyes that we really are in 1984 and the Country at the head of it is one that had always been going on and on about how much better it was than any other and how it had democracy and human rights so that allowed it to destroy any other country.

That it is this blatant, people really should start worrying.

What these district judges, the fake liberal ones have done to the rule of law should be illegal. ha ha ha. They are driven by their ideology, not the constitution, IMO.

Of course you are right, but the U.S. President and Justice Department will never allow a lawsuit against the Saudis to go forward.

Once again, double standards and selective enforcement of the law.

Now, I wonder if anyone in Libya or Syria is going to try to sue the U.S. in their country's courts...

What a joke ruling. How our corrupted justice system can be run by such cretins and people actually debate the madness is beyond me.

    Iran. 9/11....muahaha

I keep this article to remind people that Saudi Arabia admits to everything this judge just convicted Iran of and far worse via this article in Politico by an irrefutably qualified source.. IE( the highest ranking Muslim to ever serve in the US state dept wrote it)

Keep drinking the kool-aid and propaganda that Iran like Russia is some kind of boogeyman.

Read this article. Wake up. It remains one of the most jaw dropping articles I've ever read in my life. A leftist source. Saudi Arabia with our help is the real bully in the ME and directly complicit in the 9/11 attacks

I think you may be right. If I recall there may be some clause enabling the Executive to scuttle that lawsuit.

To be fair to both sides I'd like to see the redacted info in the 9/11 Commission report so that everyone can find out if the Saudi government was complicit or if it was just individuals in that country were complicit or both. The fact this information remains secret doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

    Yup. Once again.

Good question and I wouldn't be surprised to see such a suit filed in Syria, but it's a safe bet the U.S. won't extend Assad's courts any more comity than the Iranians extend to our own.

Yes indeed, it is well known that Iran have given support to Al Qaeda in their terror activities.
