Is it really so bad if a man slips a woman an abortion pill?

That, and abstinence, is a man's only choice if he wants to become a father at some time in the future at the present time.

This is because of the difficulty of stopping sperm production temporarily without causing severe side effects, though a male contraceptive pill is on the way.

    It's not a feminist plot.

Except of course that condoms fail.

    - - - Updated - - -

No I mean what I say, by what right do you attempt to place words into my mouth, you are of course entitled to have an opinion on my thoughts that however does not replace the reality.

I am not talking about reproductive health care, I am talking about the legal context of equality.

It should be or do you not know that about 1% of men out of 151.4 million men in the US suffer from breast cancer?

Anyway I steer away from the subject because I see the certain amount of hypocrisy in the issue but have no idea as to the solution.

There is already a male contraceptive that has been shown to be 100% perfect and 100% reversible, it has been used in parts of India for quite some time and is due for clinical trials in the US in 2016. - http://www.parsemusfoundation.org/projects/vasalgel/

It is going to be difficult for them as the big businesses are not interested, they prefer to maximise their profits by ensuring that men and/or women have to purchase a daily pill or other forms of short term contraception.

Well the LAW does.......and you seem to be another who just skips over the fact that there is a CHILD in the equation, not just some whiney immature "man" problem.

And your insistence that ALL women MAKE ALL men pay for their own children (like decent human beings) is just assinine. They don't....many women don't want these pathetic losers in their life.

The whole idea that somehow women have it sooooooooo much better than men when it comes to reproduction is just Plain Stupid.

NO man would volunteer to even have a period once a month so it's fun to see them display their masculine weakness by whining about how unfair it is that women have babies....the men who whine really shouldn't father children as the IQ of the gene pool will fall...

Men get their opportunity to have a choice before they have sex....talk to the manufacturer of humans if you have a complaint about what happens next :)

Yes, they do.. Men should be aware of that, because that's all they have at the moment.

No I mean what I say, by what right do you attempt to place words into my mouth, you are of course entitled to have an opinion on my thoughts that however does not replace the reality.

You are talking about reproductive healthcare.

Unfortunately, men don't have enough breast tissue to make a mammogram effective.

There isn't any hypocrisy. There's just the way human reproduction works.

Exactly. If an unmarried woman gets pregnant (or a married woman who is pregnant with another mans child) and this woman wants to continue the pregnancy, she should get the sperm donor to sign a consent form (consent to create a baby).

If the dude signs he is responsible, if he does not sign he is not.

The woman can do what ever she likes. If she has not filed a signed consent form then she can not go after the sperm donor for support.

WHY does it result in jail time? Because it's against the law for ANYONE female or male, to not support their kids. It's a LAW, NOT a Rule Made By Women as YOU indicate.

You keep babbling : """This will not change the fact that this law violates the fundamental legal principle that one person is not to be punished for the crime of another"""

....but just can't seem to indicate WHAT CRIME. WHO is being punished for WHAT crime of another??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If you don't think men should support their children then DO write your Senators and Congresspeople and ask for the law to be changed ......or just keepup that masculine trait of whining about how terrible it is for men not to be able to have female reproductive tracts...that's always sure to solve your make believe problem...

The question of whether or not the State/Gov't has a responsibility to care for children is a separate question/discussion.

Conservatives do not take financial well being into consideration. They hate premarital sex and so are happy when those who engage in that action are punished. It is a sneaky way of these folks forcing their personal religious beliefs on others.

There are many reasons. Society has a vested interest in ensuring that children do not grow up in a disfunctional environment.

This has nothing to with the question of whether or not a man should be responsible for a child he did not consent to.

If you think a woman should be allowed to force a man into "Fatherhood - to be responsible for a child he did not consent to", then do not complain when the state is allowed to force a woman into "motherhood" against her will.

Well I am pro choice. And it is so funny you use the choice is before they have sex. The exact same talking point used by pro lifers to women.
But some hating men, want their cake and eat it to.
Most men will take responsibility. But they should not be forced against their will. A woman makes the choice to have the baby and the man says no get the abortion, well legally, the woman should be the only financially responsible party.

I did not say it was a rule made by women. Quit building Strawmen - accusing me of things I did not say nor imply.

    We all know what "THE LAW" is. The question is whether or not the Law is Just. I have shown why I think the law is not just;

    1) the LAW violates the legal principle that one person should not be made responsible for the actions of another and
    2) Forcing anyone - man or woman - to be responsible for a child then did not consent to is just wrong.
    3) Showing the hypocrisy of claiming that a one person (based on gender) can be forced to be responsible for a child without their consent and then turning around and claiming that another person (based on gender) can not be forced to be responsible for a child without their consent.

Again you are trying to obfuscate. The question is one of responsibility/punishment for the "Actions" of another. I find it hard to believe that you can not figure out this simple legal principle.

The action in this case is the unilateral decision of a woman to carry a pregnancy to term, resulting in the birth of a child.

Forcing a man to support that child is the punishment. One person is being punished for the actions of another.

The question is not about "human reproduction" in general. The question is about who bears the responsibility for the decision to reproduce.

Consent to sex is not consent to the creation of a child. This is not the middle ages.

Get your head out of Puritan land - thinking that sex without the intent of procreation is a sin for which people should be punished.

What do you think should be done if the woman cannot support it without public assistance?

After birth, women are required to support the child, too, so it *is* equal.

Women have a choice before and after sex. Men don't, because it isn't possible for a man to take any action on his body that will prevent his child being born.

There is no birth control method a man may practise after he's had sex.

It's not because we hate men. It's because men aren't able to terminate a pregnancy they don't have

A woman makes the choice not to terminate a pregnancy. Whatever she decides is her choice, because its her body. That's the only reason she gets to decide.

It has everything to do with it because if the man doesn't pay child support, often the taxpayers pay to support it. Not always but often. *I* do not want to pay for children *I* had no part in creating.

As far as the breast tissue point is concerned you are wrong.

Mammograms are often MORE accurate in men than they are in women because they have less breast tissue.

. Mammography is often more accurate in men than women, since men do not have dense breasts or other common breast changes that might interfere with the test. - http://m.cancer.org/cancer/breastcancerinmen/detailedguide/breast-cancer-in-men-diagnosis

    1. I've already stated I have no idea of a solution.

    2. No it is not, the woman chooses to support that child.
