Wealth was passed down, but not in direct fashions. It was passed down through business to business transactions, and wealth transfers from different relationships, so it is not necessarily all from familial ties although that is a big cause too.

 

The civil war was for economic benefits, it was the same as world war 2 and freeing the Jews from Europe. The secondary reason was more practical for a moral cause, but it does not establish a direct relationship.

But he does make a valid point on the fact that it being a double stardard that a white person who calls a black person a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) is someone more of a racist than a black person who calls a white person a cracker.
