I'm a Libra, so I can usually seen both sides of any controversy.

What I see in this case is the immense hypocrisy of the US, the country who brags about being the land of the free and home of the brave, the country who brags about democracy and rule of law, spends great effort to overthrow governments around the world.

    Russia does not do that.

So you're just a globalist who believes in Chinese world dominion. Got it. Why do you suppose it's a good time for Biden to pic this fight?

Russia invades countries within its sphere of influence, just as we do.

Russia invaded Hungary way back in 1956, asserting its version of our Monroe Doctrine.

Russia invaded Afghanistan, stayed for 8 years or so, realized it was a losing proposition, and withdrew.

We invaded Afghanistan and are still there all these years later, too damn stoopid or too damn corrupt to realize what the Russians did.

Russia makes no excuses about its authoritarian state. It is and has been part of their culture, for better or for worse.

We brag to the world that we are interested in justice and liberty and democracy, and our actions in Central and South America and elsewhere demonstrate that we are magnificent liars.

Made it up? You actively support these positions here every day. And now, you're just a tad more open about who you actually support, and it's china. Plain to see. The idea that you somehow believe that what is good for the country is to mimic china, well, that's your issue.

    First, you say .....
... despite the OP clearly stating ....
Note the OP says "the Ameican Embassy" not "someone".
I replied that the "notice" .....
To which you now respond ...
So what is it? You make statements criticizing the OP’s conclusions but when I weigh in to support those conclusions, now suddenly you are willing to disbelieve the OP's intro? You might just as well question the incident taking place at all because ......... "Jeanette does not know this for sure".
I am pleased to see you say “ .. not always to stir things up” so I don’t have to give you the long list of examples proving it is precisely what the CIA normally does.
This is the crux of the matter and we know from experience that US Embassies are nests of CIA spies bent on dirty deeds just as much as honouring the responsibility (as you say) “to share information with US citizens to keep them out of harms way”. Unfortunately, the CIA is more likely to use its citizens abroad as bartering chips, intentionally putting them in harm's way for Washington's own gain.

The premise of this thread is precisely that and that is exactly what we are discussing. I have given my motivation for believing Jeannette is right.
    Pure logic.

I have. Russia and the US cooperated in space. After our shuttle program ended, we rode with Russians to ISS.

    Does that count?

Russia defended its own after Nuland's Ukraine made moves to take Crimea. Does that count?

Russia defended its ally Syria from the attacks of Israel and the US, who are virtually the same set of thieves for all practical purposes.

Britain and the US concocted the false flag in Douma.

It's never talked about in the MSM, but Putin re-introduced the jury trial into Russia some years back.

Of course Russia will give it's opinion on the media's or social networks towards something that is beneficial to them. That's to be expected of all nations, not just Russia, so why is Russia being condemned for it? It's purely projection on Washington's part, because if you notice, Russia only intervenes in order to support the legal governments and to hinder Washington's regime changes.

It's a matter of survival for Russia, since our regime changes are usually towards nations which either neighbor Russia, have a historical affinity with Russia, or are aligned with Russia in some way.

So why do we want to attack Russia? Well much of the attacks comes from those with historical animosities towards Russia for one reason or another. Let's just say it's embedded in their genes. The other reason is purely political.

Russia controls over 30% of the world's resources, so if Russia remains intact, it will eventually become the foremost power, and this doesn't suit the liberal globalists considering the Russian government's present conservative Christian mind set,

As for what's going on today, well Russia's main problem is Turkey, and it's trying to hold back Turkey's expansionism in Syria, Libya, Cyprus, Caucasus, etc., while still maintaining a relationship with Erdogan who is under immense pressure from the nationalists.

Because of Nato's paranoia towards Russia, they can only see Russia as being a threat and not Turkey, since Turkey's ambitions are only towards nations that were part of its former Empire. Or so they want to believe. In the meantime, Nato is constantly provoking Russia, since it can only see Russia's advances as being Moscow's own ambitions and therefore a threat to them, rather than seeing them as holding back Turkey for Russia's own survival. Anyway, this is how I see it.

Regardless, the situation in the ME, Aegean, Libya, Black Sea, Eastern Europe, Baltics, Arctic is quite dire.

I think your unique ability is failing you. Do you remember how the Syrian war started? Are you aware that Syria like Russia has no democracy?
Perhaps in your view of both sides, democracy has no value. Are you a Trump supporter by any chance?

Do you? I don't think that you do and I think your ability to remember (or to assess) the reasons for the Syrian war are tied up with your ability to remember the reason why the U.S. invaded Irak. So tell us .... what do you remember about how the Syrian War or the invasion of Irak started?
