True, the left can think, and I think that they think that Trump can't think.

As I said, I can't help you if you think that the economic response to who is in the congress/WH is immediate.
So, let me ask you this question directly again:
If the GOP would have retained the congress in 2007, would there have been no great recession?
    And please be honest.

How about you address what actually happened and what I posted first to refute the false claims which you have failed to do. Would we have faced a slowdown perhaps would it have gone into a recession perhaps, but that's all conjecture. Its what actually happened that we are discussing or at least I am trying but you keep ignoring the facts.

I believe parents are the culprits here most depending on the education system to 'enlighten' their kids. Like the old song lyric' teach your children well'.

47.4 billion in 2015 for military budget
76 billion on higher education 2013
74 billion in food stamps 2015
1 trillion in total welfare for 2014, but what, who, does that cover and how much can you make? Why aren't businesses required to pay living wages? What would help the population to start making a wage or salary that allows them to live? How much would that be in a year? Solutions are never talked about. It's always how can we give more away.

Howard Stern once quizzed a bunch of Republicans in a similar fashion. So what? All it proves is that some Americans are idiots.

It's peculiar how conservatives pit themselves against science and universities. Says a lot.

You nean make them pay illegal aliens a living wage so they can send more money back to mexico?

Wage and price controls are a bad idea

Build the wall and require employers to access E-Verify when hiring

And restrict the H1B visa program to only the most essential applicants and Americans will have more jobs and higher pay

Those jobs should have gone to Americans instead of illegals and then the wages taxes paid would stay in the family

Most unskilled jobs are not worth a living wage.

Tell that to the people who hire cheap labor.

Maybe now you understand why we evil Democrats support worker unions and government oversight on employment practices.

Yes, what actually happened was that the GOP had control of the WH and the house for 2 years, and full control of the WH and congress for 4 years, until 2007. One year later the bottom fell out of the economy. How you can pin this on Democrats is beyond me. Bush and his GOP congress had enough time to prevent the debt bubble from bowing up. They didn't because they wanted the good economic news for the present rather than preventing the economic meltdown in the future.

Trump and cohort are going to do the exact same thing. Just watch.

Then the cost of living is too high and wealth should be moved from top to bottom. Isn't that what libs have been saying? Of course it is. Arrogance is standing in the way of greed.

The potential employers who have most of the low skilled jobs that need to be done are members of the working class. They cannot afford to pay more than what the work is actually worth - very little.

Government has to do its job which involves stopping illegal aliens at the border to dry up the illégal labor pool

And at the same time reform welfare to deny free stuff to able bofied citizens

WOW!!! 1 billion out of 3.31 TRILLION, I'm impressed. The cost to have these illegals is far more than the 1 billion in taxes you say they pay. How many are on welfare or in prison? In California alone illegals cost more than 1 billion. Nice try, not really.

He did not mention that illegal aliens qualify for the EITC tax credit and often get back more than they pay in
