Yep...she was trying to say it was a matter and not an investigation in order to impact the 2016 election. Or maybe she didn't and Comey was lying about it...I think that's important to know. Not at all...criminal referrals can come out of oversight hearings...ask Cohen. This was one of the hearings about the FBI/Obama DOJ actions during the 2016 election...one of the Committees taht lead to Mueller being appointed and discovering the false allegations...and now Barr opening up the investigation into the Obama DOJ

This wasn't a criminal probe...what are you talking about? They can certainly make criminal referrals. They don't have the Constitutional authority to conduct criminal investigations...that is limited to the Executive. Hence the referrals to the DOJ

Well it sorta makes one question the AG's motives if from the start of the investigation she's pulling punches. Also it must matter to them because the "matter" is being disputed
