How Fox News and Republican officials devised one Biden smear

“The Biden administration … has said that they are considering parents who speak out regarding education issues for their children to be domestic terrorists,” proclaimed Elise Stefanik, the No. 3 House GOP leader, on Fox News.

There’s just one wee problem with the whole Biden-says-parents-are-terrorists claim, reported dozens of times on Fox News airwaves and echoed at each link down the Republican media food chain: It’s horse excrement. Biden never said it. Attorney General Merrick Garland never said it. No senior (nor even junior) official in the Biden administration has ever been shown to have said it. Yet Fox News presents it as unchallenged fact, week after week. (In response to my request, a Fox News spokeswoman provided me no instance of a Biden official calling parents domestic terrorists.)

    Game, set, match.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Following a string of contentious school board meetings across America involving parents upset over critical race theory, the National School Board Association (NSBA) sent a letter to President Joe Biden, asking for action against those who were threatening school board members and teachers.

Most notably, the letter compared protesting parents to "domestic terrorists," sparking outrage among parents who were lawfully and peacefully attending school board meetings to voice their concerns about public education in their communities.

Now, according to NSBA emails obtained by Parents Defending Education (PDE) through a public records request, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona allegedly solicited the memo.

:roflol:How does what the NSBA letter said put words in Biden or Garland's mouths? You can do better.

It's called working through a cut-out. That creates plausible deniability.

Not at all. It's the conclusion that fits the facts. Nothing nutty in the slightest.

There is no evidence that you presented. No logic. No reasoning. This convo is boring.

Let me ask ya. Is the olympics racist?

That's easy, I'm not racist against whites. I haven't said anything to give that impression. All you have is your own projection.

You have an education that given the subject is not serving you well. You say you don't need any outrage on this point but like to save yours for the things that "really" matter.

Your argument isn't based on logic. It's based on the exact reasons that your "logic" points out. YOU are the boogey man.

No it's based on logic sorry.

If you have a group of people that appear to commit more violent crimes than other groups of people there's going to be a natural bias to be suspicious of people within that group.

Pssst That means don't commit more violent crimes than other groups...

Lol we will see about that.

Let’s start here if you’re not racist against whites, why are you stumping for an ideology that states all whites are inherently and universally racist?

Oh!!! Is that how it works?!! Good to know!!
Get a group of people that have a history in your country of being downtrodden and kept poor and be sure to make anything that goes wrong "their" fault to make sure they are kept in their "place". Enact laws to make sure they stay in their place. Show in history where at anytime the poor and downtrodden AREN'T the ones that commit more crime. That's not logic, it's social engineering.

I mean I guess when you have a group of people that commit a majority of violent crimes per capita, and you seem to think that there wouldn't be a negative side effect to that?

    K.

Well I live in the real world where when ya, you have a group of people committing violent crimes there will be an inherent bias rightfully so.

VIOLENT CRIME. Look it up. That's rapes, murders, assaults...it's not something you can just dismiss like "whatev's just ignore all that k?" "Let's all pretend like that's not a thing and then it will just magically go away, ya?"

    VIOLENT. CRIMES.

    :)

I want elementary schools teaching the basics and not monkeying with my kid's head. I don't want them teaching them politics before they've learn basic critical thinking skills. Neither math nor English are racist they are just skills you have to learn to get by in the 21st century.

Now you see..........I never said you were wrong. What I did was explain WHY these things are happening and what do you do? Well, you ignore what I said, made up what you THINK I said and then repeated what you said before......which I answered. That the difference between the left and right. The left cares about people and tries to find ways to help everyone. The right only think of themselves (no wonder they love Trump) and wants to make sure everyone stays in their lane. Sad

You are not helping. You are ****ing up society by trying to fight racism with racism. If you wanted to help black people, they need a stronger police presence to make their neighborhoods safe and better role models to perpetuate couples staying together keeping fathers in the home to help raise the next generation with better social principles and success. Emphasis on education and getting through life making smarter choices.

Doesn't matter where they are today or why that is because of yesterday. What matters is now and moving forward from now.

My grandmother fled Germany with nothing but a suitcase and she died a very wealthy woman. People can in one life time, go from nothing to everything.

So stop ****ing up society by reinventing racism because you feel white guilt. We ****ing fought a war to free slaves while Africans still have slavery today. We need not feel guilty about anything.

    The 'CRT' conspiracy theory.

"As people like Glenn Youngkin are sworn in, the Left is in a tizzy about critical race theory not being taught in schools. People like MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace and Joy Reid maintain that not only is CRT not being taught in schools … it “isn’t real.” So why would progressives be so upset over a ban of something that doesn’t exist?"

Someone didn't read his talking points:

"Detroit Superintendent @Dr_Vitti: "Our curriculum is deeply using CRT, especially in social studies, but you'll find it in English language arts and the other disciplines. We were very intentional about ... embedding CRT within our curriculum.""

It's almost like some folks are being less than honest or something.

No laws and policy force black people to abandon their children and have babies out of wedlock at remarkable rates. That’s the core of literally EVERYTHING! Guess you can blame Democrats for pushing welfare babies? No laws force black people to ignore education in favor of other interests and “activities”? It’s mostly self inflicted since the 60s.
