    Sorry, late post.

In short, if your wife is raped by the man that gave her a promotion, remember to tell her to put it in context.

That said...they don't have a choice on how to live, really. And they weren't given one. And in this day, it's probably impossible to live like that, and it's likely unlikely the US government would even tolerate it on a large scale. Remember, the government deliberately obstructed these attempts before. They already tried to live their way. But they weren't allowed to.

This may be true. I don't even really see "angry white liberals" being the source of this as viable. It's something people automatically like to label liberalist fanaticism, but I don't really believe it came from liberals. Surely enough, though, as soon as the topic is out, you get the classic divide on the topic between the two camps because- if you notice- it happens the same way with many other topics like clockwork- but I wonder about how and why this was raised... It's really out of the blue.

I'm Bavarian. Every year on the Oktoberfest I see Japanese or Australian people wearing Bavarian heritage clothing (leather trousers and headgear which also involes a feather or a "chamois beard"). Neither am I offended nor am I unhappy. I like the tradition to be kept alive, wherever that is.

of course. they're inanimate manufactured objects. any 'feelings' about them are entirely personal. and no one is preventing you from feeling thrilled or offended.
