I don’t ever think it will come to that. I do not think congress will ever pass a bill which would give government agencies the right to enter people’s houses and confiscate weapons without probable cause and a warrant. If they do, they will definitely have a fight on their hands. However I do believe a real effort should be made to keep these weapons out of the hands of nuts and criminals. I am not sure exactly what the proper course of action is regarding that at this point. It is a tough problem. Do you have any ideas?

If it is they need to be taken away from law enforcement who are protecting and serving (in theory) and not waging a war.

Not as far as specific policy goes, but I'm wide open to anything which doesn't burden or discriminate against the law abiding. In my opinion we're taking the wrong approach entirely, we're focusing on the what instead of the why, when the why is the actual problem and focusing on the what (AR/AK specifically) will do very little in changing things, in fact may open a whole other can of worms if we try it Beto's way.

The ones threatening to disarm citizens by taking guns away are the Fascist. The ones willing to defend their right to keep and bear arms are patriots.

    Try to keep up.

Violating the constitution is in the oath of office?

Oh, really? The US military is going to nuke Red America? Most of the members of the military are from there, they hold Blue America in contempt.

The air quality is better now than in the 70s. There are more trees in the US than 100 years ago. The US is reducing CO2 emissions more than any other nation. We're living in the most peaceful time in human history thanks to Pax Americana. And if the Democrats would just allow the American people to hear about all sides in political debates, there wouldn't be calls to regulate Google, Facebook and Twitter. But the Left can't win in a fair fight against the Right, so they cheat. And we'll penalize the hell out of them for it.

You realize that the overwhelming majority of the military and law enforcement are conservatives right? And more importantly, nearly ALL of the high ranking military leaders are conservative. So why exactly do you think they'll choose your side over the Constitution?

I hope air and water quality is better than in the 70’s, a time when factories dumped toxic waste openly and insulated their homes with asbestos — almost like science has found out that stuff is bad for our health...

It’s such a shame that Democrats are gerrymandering the hell out of their districts, having massive voter purges, ignoring historical precedent on peaceful transfer of powers, engaging in electoral fraud, refusing to hear a two term duly elected president’s SCOTUS nominee, and pushing historical constitutional power grabs plus blind court packing and profiteering from presidential positions.

    Oh wait, that’s the republicans.

It’s like some of you live in an alternate dimension where none of the above is happening

Ironically, it's the Republicans that are living out in nature, and the leftists infesting disgusting places like San Fran.

It was supposed to be devices, my spelling / dyslexia is atrocious and spell check hurts more than it helps at times.

And Lexington / Concord do not ring any bells, what happened?

That's exactly what it's not like.

A group of fanatics who don't want to play by the rules, stymied by some guys from 250 years ago.

    They're high-fiving themselves right now.

Meanwhile, you're having problems seeing 250 years into the past because you have no knowledge of your own country's history.

Which still happens in most of the world in 2019.

Thankfully, the founders created something better.

Perhaps you should understand what they were about better.

Which part would you like me to “substantiate”?
All of it is easily verifiable

Both sides definitely gerrymander — I am against either side doing it — but republicans do it on a much larger and extreme scale

Meanwhile, in CA, they made it impossible for a Republican to get on the ticket, and made ballot harvesting completely legal.

Please don't try to pretend that conservatives cheat as much as leftists.
