So it is official now, ignorant and less intelligent people tend to believe in God more. I know it is Science magazine, so in the eyes of true believers it is as good as Satan's heresy but in any case, this has been scientifically proven.

"Scientifically proven" - lol - which clearly reveals how much you know about science.

I know it is not as reliable as 5000 year old fairy tail but still rather solid, don't you think?

    What is your point?

An attempt to try and prove that you are more intelligent than people who have faith?

Alright. And more insecure too. Congrats.

    Moving on.

Sooooo since the great majority of African Americans are "god fearing" Christians or Jehovah's witness you are saying most of them are less intelligent people?

Hmmm sounds like a lot of bigotry and racism to me lol.

From Einstein to Langan we have the smartest people believing in a God.

These claims from "science" are just ideologically driven pablum.

I'm just stating the fact, you stretched it a little but since it is logical due to stated fact earlier I will not object.

So it's official because some quack scientist says so?

You must be off your meds again.

    Wow! What a thread!

    Let me sum it up:

"if you believe in a higher power, your stupid! Some magazine said so!"

Hypothesis means “official”? A hypothesis means “scientifically prove”?

I will say this: So it is official now, ignorant and less intelligent people tend to believe in hypothesis meaning proven science… How is that? I think that is FAR MORE accurate than your post… Ya think? Close contestant for the “Most Retarded Post of the Day”! Good luck, but the regulars will probably win as usual…

Oh I forgot, if a scientist says something - it is nonsense.... I guess we'll have to wait for confirmation from more credible source like Pope for example.

Oh I DO need a link that proves that! They stick together better than other groups and help those in the group that are in need. That makes them smart in that aspect, but overall the human brain is the same for everyone..it's all about application.

Do you know the difference between hypothesis and experiment?

Considering their penchant for choosing mates within the group and the high degree of trials an tribulations they have endured as a group, it could be argued that intelligence would have lent an advantage to those that survived, and that intelligence has not been overly contaminated by outside presence.

The whole thing about the human brain being the same for everyone is nonsense. I am a big believer in environment, but genetics is a big player as well. I believe if it weren't for early involvement with religion for children, as far as an environmental aspect, there would be a small minority of religious people in the world today.

I sure do... one is a fairytale and/or pipe dream (hypothesis) - and the other is a method of testing hypothesis (acid flashbacks) and theories... Just because they did experiments on a "HYPOTHESIS" means nothing... It's still a flippin hypothesis now isn't it...

What were you trying to get at? Something genius I am presuming dealing with the scientific method? No... Then your post (the original) is absolutely retarded and not even worth the argument, but most don't know that much about science and when reading about it come to "broad" conclusions since they don't understand the terminology...

    Like you...

So God has no meaning for you? Is that correct? As you say "if it weren't for early involvement with religion for children, as far as an environmental aspect, there would be a small minority of religious people in the world " I guess the same would hold true for math and science. Everything we as humans do has to be taught...it took millions of years to slowly evolve. Now we have it down pretty well but everything must be told and re-told to have sustaining power; that includes religion.

    The response…

The thing is – you both are right! The brain is the same. It comes as an empty HDD. Now, by genetics it might be more applicable to accept information than another by genetics, but it is still the same brain. Through genetics one might “try” to breed a greater brain with dealing with parents with high IQ’s, but as we know, this has no bearing on the children due to recessive (noncoded) DNA sequences that could arise at any giving time… Thus, the brains are all the same, but one MIGHT be able to make theirs more acceptable to learning than another through genetics… This has not been proven, but it is in the works and is a hypothesis… Doesn’t look good for it to become a theory in biology because random gene sequencing during replication leaves no patterns to follow…
