So....if you're right.....and you look at the numbers.....the number of wealthy people should be going down....and the number of poor people decreased....or the middle class grown. Can you show me that?
It is YOUR claim not mine. And you say you WERE specific and then say if I want specifics go look them up. How hilarious, What subsidies and be specific, or are you just repeating tired old talking points?
Just thought I would mention.....the graph seems to show a funny coincidence....the income of the 1% shoots up at the same time the Bush tax cuts go into effect. Amazing. Some...well some....might call that redistribution in action.....because at the same time, we started running huge deficits again - money that we all owe. It's as if the American people took out a loan to give the uber wealthy buckets of cash.
What do you mean "if you're right", are you denying there is an EITC? One does not follow the other. We transfer wealth in this country already, the EITC is just one example. TANF, section 8 housing are two others.
Redistribution that Obama wants is to take money from those that do work and give it to those that wont work to buy their vote.
SHOW ME the transfer of wealth. Show me where the wealthy are becoming less wealthy. Show me the resulting affect of that transfer of wealth - fewer poor and a larger middle class. If you can't show me that what you're complaining about is actually happening....then its all a bunch of empty, disingenuous class warfare BS rhetoric.
Yes, and they all will affect business, large and small. Business is a webbed connection of enterprise, one does one thing, and it will and can affect all others. Banks are a prime example of what affects all business, so you are wrong. Everyone of those where I highlighted below are in the top 5, and will affect all business large and small. So unless you have some evidence that says it won't affect business, produce it or concede. Thankfully we have 3 branches of government that prevents this from happening. America has seen what this socialist president did in his first year ramming a very unpopular healthcare down our throats, and the impact is yet to come. Show you? I just did.. You would love the docu-movie 2016, it brings to fruition the dreams of Obama to fundamentally change America, and thankfully there are those of us that will make every legal effort to stop him.
I gave you the specifics to your question. Now you want specifics of the specifics. If you don't have the brains to look them up, you surely don't have the brains to understand them even if I provide them for you, like your mommy does. You're like a child that continually asks "why" to every answer given. Grow up.
You showed squat. On the other hand the graph earlier in the thread clearly shows how the Bush tax cuts resulted in the income of the 1% skyrocketing an at the same time, the country begins to run large deficits again.
I show you something that hurts, ouch! Obama is a socialist, and there is no doubt you will defend this because you are also a socialist. Obama's numbers in this race are not good, and it scares you to think your messiah could very well lose this race. Did I mention Scott Walker deja vu? Americans know he has (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up this country enough, and it is time for him to be fired!
I said this elsewhere, but it bears repeating because I'm sick to death of this idiotic meme. Socialist don't bail out private banks and private companies, they nationalize them.
Yeah, more junk from RWers. Tape was truncated. http://news.yahoo.com/obama-redistr...uncated-gop-164722632--abc-news-politics.html Now go back to your slogans and keep repeating them.
I'm sorry Billy, was there supposed to be an argument regarding the non existent redistribution of wealth, somewhere in that rant? Oh that's right, you have none.....so just insert your standard ObamaBadHorribleSocialistHateblablablabla. Whatever dude. On this forum, that kind of blather is pretty much al yall have in the way of debate or discourse anymore.
I can't stand the President, but I want to make sure that the criticisms against him are accurate. Talk radio has turned a huge chunk of the folks on the right into parrots and it annoys me greatly.
If that is your (bizarre) definition, pretty funny thing to call a guy who people criticize for bailing out wall street and the auto companies.
Socialism is a system that this president would love to move to more quickly, but it moves slow. Most Americans embrace our capitalist society, and moving to socialistic acceptance will take some time, fortunately, it can be extinguished come this November by firing someone that advocates for it, his name is Obama
I would much rather have a serious discussion with you, being critical of policy, than with the droves of people here who just spout off nonsense. I heard a roundtable discussion on POTUS XM Radio the other day. Balanced group of liberals and conservatives. All highly knowledgeable and the discussion was GREAT! Reasoned. Calm. No hyperbole. None of the knee jerk responses that you always hear. It was so refreshing....and guess what? Since the conservative presenters spoke in such a reasonable tone, I found myself agreeing with them on certain things critical of the President. The tone of the conversation makes a difference. Huge difference.
All in due time Irie, watch the movie 2016, he is right on track, but fortunately that trained will be derailed in November
when the rich like Romney pay 13% interest, that is call redistribution too, just one party want to redistribute to the rich and the other wants to help the working class being rich is the reward, you don't need to be rewarded with huge tax cuts on top of it
