A monument cannot remotely be said to be a "mountain" unless you can fly a Boeing 747 below its summit.

You could probably fly a Cessna below the top of MLK's monument but no plane much bigger than that and it would be dangerous low-flying.

This photoshop shows the appropriate and proportionate size of monument when we come to properly honour and remember Condoleezza Rice.

The Condi mountain would be an elegant solution to the US unemployment problem and no doubt would provide some more jobs for the Chinese at the same time.

    1. failed at what? My SAT sores got me into the college of my choice and I worked my way through 2 masters degrees. ooops, I'll bet "masters" is a racist word too.

    2. give me a break, accusations of racisim is more crying wolf. We all know that break is a racist word b/c the d-baggers and NBBP types say so.

    3. Speaking of D-baggery. Notice how the D-baggers want to eliminate the Fall holidays but force everyone to deify MLK. Hell, MLK is more worshipped by D-baggers than Jesus Christ. To the D-baggers Jesus Christ was a fraud and MLK a god

    4. show me one black person that has been given less than a fair shake compared to any white person.

It won't be Barack Obama nor any black person not born before 1865. In fact , he got where he is b/c of the color of his skin and not in spite of it like Dbaggers and NBPP types want everyone to believe.

    5. black men may be your cup of tea, but not mine.

    Great comment, Smartmouthwoman!

It reminds me of the site where the "aliens" landed at "Stonehenge" in the English county of Wiltshire during 2500 BC!

Oh but I have read the thread, but the idea that Obama is campaigning based on colour of skin is simply dumb.

Have you told Herman that you don't see him a a black man? Have you asked him if he sees himself as a black man?

    No on both counts?
How nice of you to be so presumptuous...

Here are the really smart people MLK wants us to send our hard earned tax dollars to so they will not have to work!

Why do we have to work so millions of black people can sit around all day in their house slippers? This just doesn't seem fair to me!

Even funnier are those who try to posture as if they love Dr. King more because of their Obama vote.......... while smearing Herman Cain.

There are some on the left who believe that their vote for Obama gives them a pass to behave in a manner that Dr. King was often a victim of and fought to overcome.

    You are very mistaken, superbadbrutha.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican.

"During the civil rights era of the 1960s, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs."

"Affirmative action was begun by Nixon to counter the harm caused to blacks when Democrat President Woodrow Wilson in 1912 kicked all of the blacks out of federal government jobs."

Maybe instead of depending on the thread for enlightenment, you should've lived in this country from 2007 to today. Then you'd be able to see it's not a matter of how he IS campaigning, but how Obama has ALWAYS campaigned.

Your dedication to defending him is cute, though. Everytime I see your posts, I'm reminded what a good friend Bugs Bunny is to Barack Obama. Seems fitting somehow...

Guess you don't have an eye for symbolic art. Nothing to be ashamed of... lots of people look at chunks of rock and see chunks of rock. Others see majestic mountain ranges of Africa.

Inspired by the art and architecture of the traditional African society known as The Dogon in the West African Republic of Mali, Journey to Sirius incorporates two monumental welded steel structures addressing one another diagonally across a bed of black rock. The geometric surfaces interpret the natural geometry of the Bandiagara Cliffs of Mali, and the sculptural forms that cantilever from the structures represent spirit, as inspired by the cliff paintings and high relief carvings on the cliff dwellings of The Dogon.

I see it... just not sure Dr. King would choose such shapes for his memorial... didn't seem to be the type who longed for his African homeland.

Ah but he sure does try to sell himself off as a civil rights crusader though now doesn't he.

That's the problem some of us (conservative Americans) saw and have had with Obama, the problem which some liberals are only now starting to realize TMF.

Obama is not only a politician who has zero respect for the law or the Constitution.

But he is also a proven, demonstrable, bold faced liar who lies like a rug, he is a lying politician on the scene (which is frankly the last thing this republic needs at a time like this) who has zero problem with looking the American people in the eye and flat out lying to them. At a time when the people need a President they can not only respect, but admire and more importantly, trust his/her veracity when he tells We The People something.

We can't do that with this President. If he tells us something we have to check, verify, and check again.

Because he will lie in a N.Y. second.

Particularly and especially if he thinks his lies like those he's told in this speech and in other's in lame attempt's to connect himself with the civil rights movement, will get him some votes.
