A response almost wholly devoid of any sort intellectual integrity, honesty or even skills in basic math.
Nonsense. The ACA affected most people not at all. It DID however provide tens of millions with health insurance they did not have. And most of THOSE people are not getting it for free. You're really a CPA? And it's more popular than ever
Tell that to those that had GREAT insurance through work................and now have crap coverage and a mountainous out of pocket that never existed before. It's as popular as AIDS.
Not only that, you can't even buy supplemental hospital coverage out of your own pocket unless you have "Obama approved" health insurance. The mandate AND the BS must go. Good riddance.
Considering the popularity of the ACA it'll be more than "lefties" crying...and voting - - - Updated - - - Just for the record...Hillary had only a 3% lead in the polls as of election day...almost exactly what she won the popular vote BY...which of course is what polls measure
So obviously you shouldn't sign up for it. Stop trying to take insurance away from others - - - Updated - - - The way you throw bogus numbers around I'd never pay you for your services.
Who thinks is popular ? You , Pelosi ( if she even knows what's in it yet ) and Obama ( cuz his name is on it ) who else ?
The ACA was just a reflection of nanny state, progressive agenda. Mandating purchasing a commodity... is there anything more unAmerican than mandating you to buy some product that others profit from? And, it is rife with corruption, special interests, & crony capitalism. It became the biggest boondoggle for obama, & likely cost hillary the election, even with the media, slebs, & rinos all campaigning fervently for her. i would put this thread in the category of 'fake news', to be kind.
No, it's what history books tell us. The founders believed that common Americans couldn't have a clear understanding of the country's needs and could not be trusted to directly elect the President. You realize that the constitution is what gives the supreme court the authority to make interpretations right? That actually their primary job, to decide where and how the constitution is interpreted. For example, with the gay marriage ruling, they ruled that states with gay marriage bans failed to give a legit reason why gay couples should not be allowed to marry. Marriage is a considered a constitutional right, and as such a state has no authority to ban a couple from marrying without valid, constitutional reasons. The only reasons states gave were based on religion, and as such were not valid under the first amendment, and that is what the court based their ruling on. That is not passing law from the bench that is overriding laws that were clearly unconstitutional, which is their job.
Just for giggles, let's assume that might have been a concern. Did Nostradomis warn them about 2008 and 2012?
I don't know your case, obviously, but I will say that insurance companies rejected FAR more stuff before the ACA came around. In fact, they refused to sell people insurance at all and dumped people who got sick, besides their continuing practice of insisting you stick to their provider network and rejecting some specific treatments. So, I think you have to look deeper before blaming insurance company behavior on the ACA.
If that's what your sKool books are telling you then education has become nothing more than liberal indoctrination. The electoral system was set up so all states had representation in DC. The founders knew that otherwise one or two highly populated states would run roughshod over the less populated states and the union would collapse as those states rebelled. The electoral system is about representation and nothing more. It sickens me that you are being taught different by your liberal scum anti Constitution America hating leftist government employee so called teachers. Voucher system anyone? If you want a more detailed and comprehensive analysis of the electoral system and how it came to be that is free of the current glut of revisionist history this is a good place to start. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...YWHo4prmGf1sNM9Hg&sig2=p9oDEhOg8XCjbiGTssL9og
Geez, what do you think universal healthcare would do, hmmmm? Remove more abilities to make informed choices.... but, that's the government's forte. Telling everybody they are too stupid to make intelligent choices. Who do you see having their 'insurance' being taken away?
A major percentage of the USA likes the features in the ACA - a LOT. And, that includes Republicans. Only 50% of Republicans want the ACA removed. The percent of Americans who believe it is the responsibility of the government to ensure health care coverage for ALL Americans has reached 60%. The problem the R's face today is that they want to be in full partisan control of the solution, but they don't want to be responsible for removing features people want or for eliminating coverage for 20M people. In fact, today they're at least as much focused on the TRANSITION, not on the health care plan. The budget changes they are making today have a huge impact on what the health care plan will be - but, they are changing the budget WITHOUT knowing what that plan will be. In fact, they are engineering the budget change so that Dems can't vote on it.
