Good answer. Some of the advertisers that pulled ads from Limbaugh also cited empathy with the possibility of parallels in their own children's lives. Perhaps this was a bit better than the "Those aren't the words I would have used.." response from Romney. Yes that was Romney's complete response.

Romney isn't going to say anything that might even slightly rock the boat. If he had his druthers I'm sure he'd like to just go in a catatonic state, repeating the same catch phrases all the way up to the election.

being respectful to others is so basic...The right wing reaction of defending very poor behavior has left the door open for the left to sieze on it.

Just because you feel someone is one of your own doesnt mean you have to defend poor behavior. Would this be something you would say in front of your mother? If so, well, I dont know any good family valued conservitives that would talk that way in front of their mother toward someone publicly without a good slap to the face.

Wait a minute... did Barack Obama call Sarah Palin or Michelle Backman after his mega-donor Bill Maher ($1,000,000 to Obama Campaign) called them "sluts" and "bimbos" and more?

Will Barack Obama return the $1,000,000 from Bill Maher?

This is faux outrage by the left... they are totally inconsistent.

LOL If he really cared he would do it with all radio show hosts who insult people. Its pathetic you are falling for this purely political response.

Did Obama make any statement defending Laura Ingraham from Ed Schultz's "slut" remark? Did any liberal here expect him to?

    Liberals are hypocrites.

If you ignore the rank hypocrisy of singling out one radio host on the politically opposite of yours then of course it makes sense. :nerd:

This is no different than his pathetic "lets all get along" speech after a liberal shot a democrat congresswoman in Arizona.

    A distinction without a difference.

Leftists are taking full, politically expedient advantage of all this stupid bull(*)(*)(*)(*) to pimp a "Right Wing War on Women" narrative....

"Women"...not liberal women, not public women, not private women.

    All women. Period.

    Cannot have it both ways.

Meh, distinction may be a better word...

I personally don't think anyone should be referring to females in this manner, but, I feel there's a "difference" between going after a radio host and going after a private citizen...

But, IMO, it's wrong either way...

Schultz called a radio personality a media slut, a slut for the GOP. Rush called a law student testifying her beliefs a sexual slut and a prostitute who wanted to be paid to have sex. He then said he should be able to watch her sex tapes online. If you can't see the difference you're just being purposefully obtuse.

Schultz's comments weren't OK either. That's why he was suspended. Funny how "the he did it tooooooooo" arguers seem to leave that part out.

It was a pandering answer, Obama is a phoney from the word go, and never says anything that is sincere, well, not since he said the Boston police "acted stupidly", since then he says things that are only approved by his Soros handlers.

You have to understand that Bill Maher supporters have the morality of Hitler on acid. However, conservatives typically turn their noses at those that cross the line of good taste. As a result, Bill Maher maintains his support from his fans, all 3 of them, as where Rush has just lost a bunch of listners.

I do believe you have a very valid point. I disagreed with Rush's tactics. It was wrong and he should have apologized. Bill Maher... zero apology and Barack Obama overjoys at his $1,000,000 donation.

    .....

There is no doubt that Limbaugh's putrid remarks come from a dark underbelly of hatred toward women and still you can defend him as if what he said was not really hate speech.

To defend him rather than a young female college student merely trying to voice an opinion...really tells us much more about you. It would appear that both Limbaugh and you do not believe in freedom for women to speak their minds that do not coincide with yours?

The title of this thread is misleading... Obama refused to say anything about Rush Limbaugh. As usual, he turned it around and made it all about himself & his family.

    Whatta narcissist.

Schultz venomously called her a "Right wing slut"...not a "media slut"

Yet, poor Ms. Fluke gets a call from Dear Leader...
And Ingraham gets ignored....while the "ladies" on The View laugh Ed's invective off as no big deal.

Dissembling / duplicity doesn't fly with me, leftie.

The thread title is incorrect, but, the family thing, as his reasoning, was just used as an example as to why he called...

    Nothing really narcissistic about that...

How can it be anything but narcissistic when he calls his own children by name?

It was rather obvious... and unnecessary to make his point.

You are reffering the leftist standard of duplicity. Alinski says that its not the truth but the accusation and how serious you can make it sound. Thats all this is. That woman was a leftist plant and she was/is a willing schill in this false non issue of propaganda.

I thought the kids were off limits, another example of leftist duplicity.
