Old George Zimmerman MySpace page surfaces with apparent disparaging ethnic comments

I think this has less to do with race and more to do with class.

There are trashy people of every race, and occasionally, people rant about them (understandably).

One of Chris Rock's most famous routines involves him describing the difference between black people and n***ers. Because he's black himself, it was widely praised for being both funny and insightful. Had a white comedian made that rant, he'd get death threats and would no longer be in show business.

So, honestly, what Zimmerman is describing is similar. "Thugs" of every race (*)(*)(*)(*) people off with their behavior. Some Mexicans really are quite trashy.

The fact that he didn't phrase his rant more selectively is unfortunate, but the gist of what he's saying can resonate with anyone who's had to deal with the less desirable elements of society.

It's easier to say that Zimmerman is classist rather than racist, but then again, there are many understandable reasons that people are prejudiced toward "thugs."

 

I am reviewing the Rules of Evidence in my head and I don't see how any of this is admissible in court, unless Zimmerman makes the mistake of opening the issue by introducing evidence of good character.

That Zimmerman apologized in open court to murder, suggests he wants to minimize the murder as a racist killing ... this will backfire since that was his intent ... thus going to his character ...

 

You did see all his black friends on his MySpace page didn't you? LOL, it has to be racism for liberals because that is how they judge everything, by race.

Zimmerman threads. None of it is about the incident, it's all about politics and political correctness. Progressive rants and conservative pushback. It's just partisan wrangling.
This is why (with the exception of this post) you don't see me posting in the Trayvon/Zimmerman threads. It's boring, it's old, it's pointless.

There are lots of worthwhile issues to discuss and debate, but this isn't one of them.

 

More specifically with "Mexicans" it is more likely their inability to speak english and frequent, illegal status. And evidently in Virginia, their propensity to walk alonside roads.

Zimmerman is a registered Democrat. Check.

Zimermans' dad is a white registered Republican. Check.
Zimmerman lived in a complex of mixed-races and shot a black teen who lived there because a black teen had stolen his bicycle years before. Check.
