No the question was not. I was speaking to justification for same sex marriage and you asked for an example.

    Again, keep up

If you want to deny same sex couples the ability to sign a legal contract that has tons of justification behind it your reasoning needs to be superior — so far all I see is strawmen and referencing other types of unions.

    Try again

Yes, but the question is why gays only deserver those "lifesaving" benefits.
You have never been able to answer that.

Because I never claimed it. That is a strawman of your own creation.

You and @dixon76710 are the only one here arguing groups should be denied rights.

Wait - a Christian baker HAS to bake a cake, but gay people can ban a business...

America has become a crudely stupid adolescent joke.

Notice that it’s Democrats, members of that self-described “ party of Civil Rights.”

Yeah. Disgusting how much inherent inequality is built in to this new version of equality.

Nope. Im the one arguing for extending marriage to any two consenting adults while you advocate for special treatment for the homosexuals who are so special.

Can you cite a law that is applicable only to homosexuals? Special would be rights no one else has — that isn’t the case.

I never claimed there is any law only applicable to homosexuals. Traditional marriage excluded couples of the same sex and closely related couples, because procreation only occurs between the opposite sex and procreation is ill-advised among the closely related. You advocate extending marriage to the same sex, purely for the benefit of homosexuals. Special rights are those reserved for some, while others are excluded.

What do you believe the word special means?
It cannot be special when most individuals are eligible…

Since you do not believe same sex unions should be banned there is nothing to really discuss further.
    Cheers

SSM does not discriminate against the "Closely Related" any more than Regular Marriage does. Told you this a number of times now.

Your argument that there is some extra discrimination - is null and void .. and as is your constitutional argument - which you claim but have yet to make but matters not .. as would you make a constitutional argument that was valid - then you would have to outlaw both SSM and regular marriage.

So you have yourself in a bit of a catch 22 .. and secondly - your constitutional argument is not valid - as it would fail to lack of having an overwhelming majority support.

As long as we in agreement that gay-marriage is a special rights for gays I am ok.
At least we call spade a spade.
We have self-proclaimed political group with lot of financial resources, pushed through special exception that allow strictly private activity to be rewarded with public benefits.

It is just a right — one that is extended to 99%+ of the US population. Thus it cannot be special as per the definition of the word

Special means unique — it isn’t.

It is unique because private activity is rewarded with public benefits.
Homosexual relationship is strictly agreement between two private parties. Neither government, no society has anything to do with it.

You are mistaken, contracts for heterosexuals are different because they includes gender identify.
    Look at the previous messages.
Once all references about gender identity are eliminated from marriage laws, we can have meaningful conversation.
Until then gay marriages is a special exception for homosexuals where strictly private activity is rewarded with public resources.

Can you post a current marriage contract that has a gender requirement? I’ll wait while you dodge

Since you are asking for something that have been already quoted by many participants it tells me that you are out of arguments.
    I accept your defeat.

It would be interesting if true. It isn’t though. Regurgitated remarks with no source are not evidence of anything.

Marriage law treats a man as a presumed father of the child. Man = gender identity.
