The Kremlin crushed the US-and-Saudi-backed Al Qaeda savages that were trying to turn Syria into an Islamic caliphate. Many heroic Russians died needlessly in that campaign because of western fifth columnists who either ignored or encouraged what the US government was doing in Syria. I was in the US military. My understanding of the military is based on direct experience, whereas your understanding of it seems to come from playing video games and watching movies.
