    In other words, nothing objective, reasonable or evidence-based.

    Of those listed only Iraq and Afghanistan were invaded by the United States. And they came out just fine. The U.S. invasions caused less damage than the years of internal conflict and corruption. Far from "destroyed".

    Then why did join the US Army if you believe it to be worth than Taliban and Al Qaeda?

    I wasn't in the US Army, I was in the US Marine Corps.

    And I joined because I wanted to kill terrorist scumbags.

    I was young and naive though, so my youthful exuberance can be somewhat forgiven.

    What cannot be forgiven is the utter treachery and duplicity of our own corrupt political class.

    But instead of trying to make our country better, Americans like you waste everyone's time obsessing over things that happen on the other side of the planet.

    So every time I drive over a crack or a pothole in our roads, every time I see a homeless person shuffling listlessly about with a grocery cart full of recycled beer cans, every time I hear about one of my fellow Marines committing suicide, every time I see another American forced out of their home because they couldn't pay their mortgage, I think of all the precious resources the government WASTES on foreign distractions.

    According to some morons, that makes me "anti-American". But according to any reasonable standard, it makes me a patriot who is angry that his country is being plundered and exploited by frauds, criminals, and foreigners.

    Surely you know that even if the U.S. did not spend a dime overseas that it would still have potholes, homeless people, Marines committing suicide and people unable to pay their mortgages.

    A "smell test" is just your way of saying that you have no reasonable or objective basis on which to base your flimsy opinions.

    Surely you know that if the US didn't waste TRILLIONS of dollars worth of precious resources on foreign disasters like Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc., that the level of potholes, homeless people, suicides, and financial stress would be FAR LESS severe than it is today.

    If being against the extreme and enormous wastefulness of US imperialism makes me "anti-American", then I proudly accept the label.

    The US could have paid off all student loan debt TWICE for the same amount of money it spent on the disastrous Iraq war.

    Why do you assume the "trillions" you claimed were spent on those places would be spent on the things you list?

    College students should not be borrowing all that money in the first place.

    And what was so disastrous about the Iraq War? Sure we lost a few thousand troops. but hardly a disastrous number. And the losses to the Iraqis was hardly "disastrous". And we did get rid of the deadliest dictator alive (at the time of his execution).

    So where then would those TRILLIONS of dollars end up? Just lying unused in the bank collecting interest?

    Don't worry, you're safe and understood by those with the ability to understand. As for the others ... who cares ... they'll still be here tomorrow so don't lose any sleep over it.

    FYI:
    * The U.S. invaded Vietnam in 1965.
    * The U.S. invaded Cambodia in 1970.
    * The U.S. invaded Laos in 1971.

    Totally besides the point.

    The trillions of dollars the US wasted on the war in Iraq could have gone towards things that actually helped this country. Education is only one of them. Instead, those trillions were utterly squandered on an imperialist misadventure that radically destabilized an entire region, causing scores of deaths, massive suffering, and human misery on an almost unimaginable scale. If the US had taken that money and simply flushed it down a giant toilet, it would have been better than the disastrous Iraq war.

    This noxious drivel is not even worthy of a serious rebuttal.
