Turning our back on refugees is against everything this nation was founded upon, which millions of our ancestors died to preserve and is the main reason you and I are here, (assuming you are American.). It is our defining characteristic and the main reason for our prosperity and strength.

We aren't turning our back on refugees. I simply pointed out that you can't apply for asylum within the country. We accept thousands every year, and there's nothing wrong with that so long as they go through the correct channels.

Sorry, I was not posting about immigration at all. My post was about corruption and immorality that is being shown by both Democrats and Republicans.

As far as immigration goes, I tend to lean more conservative, even though I lean liberal in most other areas.

I don't think the way the president has done the wall was very good. Strong fencing, cameras, and more people patrolling would be cheaper in the long run, as well as going really harsh on employers that hire illegals.

However, I cannot deny that a barrier WOULD have a substantial impact on slowing down illegal immigration.

However, with the government we have, including Trump, nothing will improve. Both sides hate the other, and instead of getting them to work together, Trump eggs them on.

Sadly, we are now in political war. Think Highlander, but for political parties. There can be only one.

I can only pray we slow the decline enough that my nieces and nephews don't have to be impacted by it. Bleh.

 

Oh Trump is very different in many ways. For one he doesn't follow the script of the elites and the media. So they have to remove him. He also goes to bat for the USA and we are seeing those fruits daily -- thank God.

Most people are happy in America with the traditional systems and principles in place and are unlikely to become raccoons.

The problem is when the raccoons think they own the house and make you feel as though YOU are the invader.

It would be as if Obama flew to Hawaii and rented a home for $2,000 a day, then turned around and charged the government $3,000 a day and pocketed the difference.
