That's because the Ukrainian invasion (and subsequent occupation) landed more to the north and west.

The Palestinians are poor only since the establishment of Israel. A koinkidenk, without the shadow of a doubt, huh. Before that they were a commerce-minded people (they still are, somewhere behind the blocus).

UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Cyprus, all in reletively good shape.

    Palestine? going nowhere quick.

they could easily change all that.

but alas, they choose pride over prosperity.

its a very sad choice, but still their choice.

    :(

If the living room is full of giant turds, it must because of the presence of the elephant in it. No country can thrive when it's neighboring Israel - furthermore if it's a secular one.

So, which regime shall fall first... Saudi Arabia for lack of oil, or Israel for Arab demographics?

    Right Jeannette.
All those peoples didn't need the Ottomans to live in "relative" peace with one another.

Face it, da Jews just gave Arab leaders a convenient focus to maintain power
    whether Baathist or Royals.

    :hmm:

Oh and who cares what an ( )o( ) like Charles wrote or said.
He was born one and will always be one.
Being the same age, in school we use to get little articles about our age, Prince Charles. :puke:

Can't blame the Jews for Palestinians refusing decent peace deals.

the Palestinians rejected the following peace plans:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehud_Olmert#Annapolis_peace_talks

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Clinton_Parameters

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taba_Summit

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geneva_Initiative_(2003)#Palestinian_criticism

not once, not even once, did the Palestinian govt. look at a peace plan and said "yes, we can work with this imperfect peace plan."

had they done this, they would be in a much better place today.

but not only have the Palestinians never agreed even tentatively to a peace offerm they have refused to make their own offer to Israel.

sounds like the Palestinian govt. feels like they cannot accept anything but 100% of what they want, and that is a non-starter.

    so, time goes by.

Israel continues to grow, continues to thrive, continues to build the wall, continues to build settlements and continues to add more settlers, and Palestine barely scrapes by.

    oh well..

Israel is making progress in technology, medicine, science, and agriculture, so they will continue to thrive. The Saudis may adapt. We will see.

Yes, but when will Israel thrive as an Arab nation rather than a zionist one?

These "peace plans" were nothing more than the legitimation of zionist aggression and theft. Furthermore, they were made to be refused, as Israel thrives on military crime and conquest. That's why you gave them(/yourself) 3 billions a year - so they can make war on their neighbours.

Have the Palestinian authority accepted these plans, well, Israel would have staged some kind of "terrorist attack" to rip the entente off and resume the conquest of Eretz Yisrael just as planned. That's what Israel does.

The most honest peace propositions came from the arab side:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Peace_Initiative

Your side barely gave it a glance.

That will be why they offered to accept only 22% of their ancient homeland and have not yet been offered it.

and secondly you say "not once, not even once, did the Palestinian govt. look at a peace plan and said "yes, we can work with this imperfect peace plan." Although given proper scrutiny most offers come to precious little, at Taba they did exactly what you are asking for there. They considered the Map that Barak produced as the basis for negotiations but after the election Barak reneged on it so the Israelis were the ones who ended that. Hopefully you can get the link below, The bit about Taba is just a few links a way but Avnery has it set up so that you must watch it all. ;)

so if you were the Palestinians and you were offered 100% of Gaza, 95% of the West Bank with land swaps in northern Israel for the other 5%, shared control of the Old City and control of the Arab areas of East Jerusalem, full right of return for all refugees to the State of Palestine and a generous rebuilding plan worth tens of billions of dollars, you would say no?

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!

    Wow, such generous thieves.

Why should the Palestinians accept being second-order citizens in their own nation when they just have to make children to re-become masters of their own homes, of their own lands?

I bet they'll settle for a Jewish "holy city" in Jerusalem, Vatican-like. Criss-crossed by Arab-only highways, of course.

Of course they weren't in love with them, they weren't Russians they were Poles... or at least that's what I gathered. But look, nothing excuses pogroms. Innocent shouldn't people shouldn't be attacked.

that's easy for YOU to say, from your uber-comfy 1st world life in lovely Montreal.

meanwhile I hope if the Palestinians get such an offer or something similar, they have the wisdom to say "yes".

It isn't Canada's fault if Palestine is suffering in its concentration camp.

It is Israel's, and every zionist that support them, including American ones.

so for reasons of irrational bigotry you're blaming me for the crimes of Israel, just cause I was born a Jew.

    that's shameful.

Why because they did so good with the countries they all reside in? So you want the whole world to look like Somalis, Mexico, Saudi Arabia?
Don't worry your getting your wish soon enough. But I really don't think your going to like it. America and Europe are on life support with an incurable disease called ' Apathy '. So your racist anti-Christian white man wish has come true.

There are Jews who do not support Israel. Zionists support Israel. Jewish zionists, and Christian ones as well.

There's no place for apartheist regimes in the XXIst century. Israel has no future as a raceligiously segregated country.

well hopefully the Palestinians will choose with their brains not their asses next time a good peace deal comes their way.

or better yet, maybe they'll make their own proposal to Israel.

im not hopeful. I wont hold my breath.
