He never said that Pence may change the rules. He did say that if there was fraud that you go by different rules. Which is true enough. And certification can be challenged, even on the day that they're being counted (in this case the 6th). You can see this in every election but to make it simple here is a video in which some are being challenged in the 2016 election. Biden even quotes how it can be done.

Just a note on the Hillary case....intent was not and is not a requirement for being in "gross negligence".

Convenient use of politifact. Read my posts, I never said he ordered. I responded to the other poster and entertained the concept.

Cut and run can be effective.

Comey came close...what did he call it...reckless or careless? But, I think he made the correct recommendation. And, Lynch had already committed to going with his recommendation. Unless, I'm mistaken, a candidate doesn't decide whether fraud has been committed or not. I would assume that's a decision based on law...not personal preference.

    Bizarre.

It's all opinion, dude. Regardless of how hard you try, nobody is trying to prove anything. You appear stuck on something that isn't occurring. I can't be any clearer.

Trump is not only a "person of interest" in the Capitol riots. He has decades long lawsuits against him from everything to racial discrimination in his properties and hiring to misappropriation of inaugural funds. He's just been forced to refund money that was taken (using tricks on his donation pages). It would be more difficult to find something that he's done legally.
If I'm understanding you, we should focus on other evil, selfish, rich criminals but leave this evil, selfish, rich criminal alone? Why does he get an exemption? I would argue that it's unhealthy for people to think he walks on water and shouldn't be subject to the same laws and social norms the rest of us are.

the national guard would not have orders to protect the capital. they were offered to "protect the 1st amendment rights of protesters."

Totally false. They knew 3 weeks ahead of time there could be violence.

You've posted speculation on how you think Trump was trying to impose martial law, yet I'm the one stuck on something that isn't occurring.

Big news in J6 Cases today -- Judge Jackson sentences Karl Dresch to time served. Had been charged with a felony and detained pending trial. Gov't dismissed felony today and allow petty misdemeanor guilty plea. Max sentence is 6 months. Has been detained more than 6 months.

Trump didn't request 10K NG. He made that up after the fact.

He also didn't respond when Pence and Pelosi implored him to call for back-up.

He is said to have made ONE phone call during the height of the riot and that was a call intended for a Senator to get him to stop the certification. He misdialed and spoke to another person who reported that incident.

Darth, you are too funny. When do I get mad? Nothing on this forum (or any other) gets me upset. I just walk away when somebody gets on my nerves. The world is big enough for us all to do that. ;-)

Lynch should have stepped aside completely the moment she agreed to meet Bill on her plane.

That aside, I would agree with you if people hadn't been prosecuted for far less than what she did. Two examples that I remember is where one took a picture of the inside of a submarine and took it home. Never intended to do anything with it other than put it in a photobook. Another was of a person who had brought classified documents home accidentally with some other papers. Both were charged with gross negligence.

What does Pence have to do with anything? There is no there there. No involvement. Do you have something but hearsay? No. Just more Trump Derangement Syndrome. And, even the independence and democrat moderates are tired of it. A Trump Republican just one an congressional election from a far leftwing Democrat fruit cake. I keep posting for you guys to keep up the support for Trump with your TDS posts. We need more of you guys!

Yes...but if you look at those other cases, both defendants admitted they were aware that they shouldn't have taken the photo or brought the classified documents home (even accidentally). Whether Clinton knew or not...she never admitted knowing that she was breaking the rules. That was the difference between them.

He also apparently spoke to McCarthy and Senator Tommy Tuberville. The misdialed call went to Senator Lee.

Call for back up? What back up could Trump have called in? He does not control the DC police or the Capital police. You think he could have just called in the 82 Airborne and have them parachute in? Navy Seals? Strafe them with the Air Force?

Oh stop with the fallacious nonsense that anyone had any intention to murder Mile Pence that day. You do not understand the long history of hanging in effigy and those "gallows" couldn't have hung anything.
