The topic is not about you Jack. No Jack. His view is based on the will of the UNSC and violated Chapter 7 resoutions, not a hatred of an entire peoples because of simple bigotry.
If you check back on my past posts, JN, you will find a lot of illustration and presentation of actual facts. That is not what a troll does. Now if you mean I feel I have to point out your errors, misinterpretation of history and current events and general conspiracy theory behavior as often as is necessary, then perhaps I am a troll - but a good troll with a well-meaning heart of gold.
Okay, here are some straight shooting questions. 1) Is there anything at all that leads you to believe that Netenyahu, the PM of "Israel" exhibits racist attitudes, makes statements that are derogatory to other ethnic groups, and do you think he oversees a state that not only has a problem with real racism, but whose policies simply dovetail nicely with pure race/ethnic hate? 2) Do you see anything at all to suggest that Netenyahu, indeed, anyone from the body politic of Israel should be lecturing anyone about anything, or do you think that they would be better to look within for once? As I've illustrated, our intelligence has determined multiple times over the course of the decade that Iran has not, is not currently pursuing a nuclear weapon's program. What this is about is to simply dismantle Iran as a nuclear state period. And if I were the Iranian leadership, if this kind of posturing continues, I would leave the NPT and declare my intentions to be a nuclear weapon power.
1. With respect to Netanyahu, I think JN is overstating his attitudes. He is in effect a mild racist and a hypocrite rather than a severe racist who truly can't see the contradictions in his position. I personally think Netanyahu is perhaps the worst of the prominent Israeli politicians for those very reasons, plus his actual personality (bullying, lecturing and duplicitous and fond of nasty political compromises). 2. There are plenty of Israeli politicans who have enough moral authority to be able to give such a lecture, even though Netanyahu may not be one of them. JN seems to forget that there has always been a sizeable percentage of Israelis who sincerely do want to reach some kind of accomodation with their Arab neighbors for the good and sufficient reasons of peace and long term security. What worries me is that little by little (much like the middle class in the USA) this large group is gradually shrinking and being eroded.
Without trying very hard: Shelley Yachimovich, Tzipi Livni, Zahava Gal-On, Ilan Gilon, Roman Bronfman, Avgidor Lieberman
You regard those six as being good examples of Israeli politicians able to lecture on matters of morality?
