Yep, and on average all the women we leave to you civilian types - one in five is raped by your groups obviously deranged pyshcopathes.

How many have you raped? (Do you like being accused of that?)

How many rapists have you sued?

Are you inviting in a panel of experts to examine yoru policies and practices to reduce instances of rape?

Have you set a policy or are you demanding a policy that criminalizes a failure to report rape? Are you allocated assets to ensure that this is fully understood and enforced by law enforcement and management at ALL levels?

have you established mandatory training and counseling for all people, and set aside counseloers and facilitators for rape victims?

Hmm ... no? Seems you animals just enjoy raping your women then.

A lot more than in the military. The male/ female ratio in the civilian sector is a lot higher than in the military. Defiantly more opertunity in the civilian sector.

Do you have any proof that male soldiers are more likely to commit rape than males of the same age outside the military?

When you put a bunch of 18-year-olds together of opposite sex, things are going to happen, not all of it consensual.

But a lot of it is consensual and women who get pregnant can get themselves out of unpleasant deployments.

Those of us who said that women should not be so closely bunked with men in the military can now say "We told you so."

But we were scoffed at when we made these warnings.

Men can control themselves. You can place women beside us, and we will not rape them. We protect, defend, and serve. Those who do not understand that - of any gender - need not apply.

Very true, but just because we are in the military, does not change the fact we are human. We set high standards, but as a cross section of society, we will have our percentage of misfits as well. It is when you advertise these higher standards and dangle them in from of peoples faces is when they paint a target on your back. They hammer you for everything they can to make themselves feel Better. That is why America is chastised as much as it is, because we paint the target on our own backs and give our enemies easy aim at us.

The major difference between rape in the U.S. military and rape in fundamentalist Muslim societies is in who is punished. In the U.S. military the rapist is punished. In fundamentalist Muslim societies, the rape victim is punished. How many times have we read where a victim of rape in places like Afghanistan has been either punished, killed or forced to marry her rapist?

Rape exists in the animal kingdom, with deadly consequences to the offspring. Those are outside human legislations. Armies also operate outside areas of law, by design. So why is this a question?

    Really Frogger?

I busted down a couple of doors on rape torture rooms with Muslim Soldiers right beside me. If you think Muslims tolerate rape any more than we do you are sadly mistaken. Those girls are someone's daughters too, their mothers, their sisters, and if you have ever seen an Arab blood fued that erupts after something like this, then you will know that rape is not without consequences.

If, however, you are pointing to lawless tribal regions, or broken areas, why it is amazing that these things line up almost perfectly with the failed state indes and that the lack of an effective government and police force, judical systems, etc, is what allows brutality to come to the fore.

Did you know the Taliban got the their start in a little place called Panjuway?
Did you know that what set off the movement and gave it power was that the initial Taliban attack on a check point found the bodies of two women from Herat who had been travelling to Pakistan? Found then raped and killed, accordng to Abdul Zaeef? The Afghan people will literally go to war to stop rape.

Those instances that make it into propganda machines like jihad watch? Tehy don;t stay behind to see what happens after those incidents. Nor indeed do they mention Pashtunwali and its honor code when they bash.

We have our miscarriages of justice as well. Rapists skip out on technicalities all the time over here. So be careful when judging Frogger. I would be extremely hesitent to condemn a man as a rapist based solely on his faith choice or geographical locations.

After all, a mindful Christian would be very much aware of what happens when Christians are in a failed state - and we find something like the Lord's Resistance Army that pops up, or remember that Serbian warlords, not so long ago, used rape as a weapon against Muslims who were short time before their neighbors and friends.

Armys Operate under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The Law of Land Warfare is what governs, internationally, the conduct of legal warfare. We follow it, because we know what happens when combatants don't.

For a little comparison, lets look at a group of civilians who are made up of about the same age demographics as the military - college campuses:

    Source

So in a similar group of civilians, 25% of the women were raped and nearly half of the men (43%) performed actions that would be considered rape by the military. Clearly the military does a pretty good job of reducing this activity.

lol...no matter how "rampant", the Arabs and other assorted Muslims have them beat, seeing how rape, misogyny and pedophilia are tenets of their religious beliefs in many cases.

In a society that is influenced mainly by their religious teachings, that represents a mainstream acceptance of the practice. Not so in the military...no matter how its portrayed. Its a crime.

A standing military of 3 million folks is going to produce some pretty scary numbers...but as usual things are not being looked at in relative terms. Of course its terrible and I am all for prosecuting rapists. Let them rot in jail for life...I dont care.

Youre going to scare them with facts.

People neglectfully forget the military is a crosssection of the US population, with the same issues and attitudes.

The military could do itself a huge favor by putting down the hammer in their court systems. I feel criminals in the military do get softball treatment on a regular basis and this shouldnt be. In this way theyre really no better at handling court cases and sentencing than civilian court systems.

Well, it looks like some people need to ognore reality to bash others - I mean no one would think anyone who hurled false accusations of rape at an entire religion and ethnic group would be inolved in rape - so, rather than just not raping women, we'll hurl spurious accusations instead?

Brothers, I think we are all a little tired of the grand standing and stupid accusations. Please stop it!
