the scriptures say that a thousand years is as a day with YAH. Of course, your jesus satan near death fraud is gonna say that, he read it in your bible.
The scriptures also indicate that YAH isn't about to send someone from the dead to tell you anything, because you wouldn't believe the truth even if someone from the dead came and told you. Every religion has near death wackos come back and tell us how groovy death was.

You believe what you want. I have no doubt Cyrus helped the Jews to return to their own land, just as he did with other captives. Just because the Jews focus on their own thoughts doesn't prevent Cyrus being the 'Messiah' for other people. He helped all types.
You've ignored what Cyrus said and did with regard to Marduk.
If you're a student of scripture and history you should know that Cyrus freed many people and let them worship their own gods. You should know the unreliability of the Tanakh in its facts. You should be able to distinguish between reality, allegory and simile. You should know that around half of Jews are now secular, celebrating Jewish holidays and culture without the religious side.

If god caused Cyrus to release the Jews back to Jerusalem, why allow the Greeks, about 200 years later, to come and oppress the Jews once again.
Did you read the history of the Maccabees. You should know it if you are a student of history and scripture. It helps fill the gap between Nehemiah and 'Yahushua'. And you really should have known about the Samaritans.

Some prophecy is actually history, written after events.

And I suspect your tirade against against Dennis Tate is very much against forum rules. Rude and abusive.

What makes you think I ignore what Cyrus said and did pertaining to Marduk. Cyrus was king of Persia, and the Persians, Romans, Greeks, Babylonians, and Jews had many Gods. You just babble without a point. What, Cyrus isn't good enough to be chosen as a messiah for Israel by YAH?
Again, what is your point about Cyrus allowing people to worship as they see fit? Do you think he should have slaughtered all the people who didn't believe as he believed.? And I never defended the Tanakh.
And what makes you think that I can't distinguish between allegory, reality, and simile? What is your point about jews celebrating secular holidays? Perhaps that's the answer to your question about why the jews were oppressed again by Greeks and Romans.
As for knowing about the Samaritans, I'M THE ONE WHO BROUGHT IT UP!
I know about Maccabees, Essenes, and other sects. So what?

And if you "knew" that the name of God is YAH, and the name of his son is Yahushua, and it means YAH IS SALVATION, I would be inclined to ask you whay the name jesus even comes out of your mouth. Where is the name of YAH in jesus? Where is a promise of salvation in the name jesus?

And if I made a tirade against Dennis Tate, and was rude and abusive, why are you the one judging and condemning me?

I'd be willing to bet you almost anything that when Cyrus heard that, he recalled a time when a man held his right hand. And I'm willing to believe that he believed that the man was God himself- and maybe rightly so.

Cyrus worshipped Marduk, he says so himself. He did not believe in the Jewish God.

My point about Cyrus letting his subjects worship their own gods is that what he did for the Jews was nothing special. He did it for all the other nations captured by the Babylonians. The Tanakh only records their version because it affects them.

My point about the secular Jews is that 50% of them don't believe in their 'god' anyway, let alone the Tanakh being literally true. Most religious Jews do not accept Jesus as anything but a false Messiah. Personally I believe he was a teacher.

When did the Greeks lead Israel into captivity and sack the temple?

If you knew the history of the Jews and the actions of Antiochus Epiphanes - how he slaughtered the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the desecration of the Temple. . . So much for knowing the Maccabees.

As for knowing about the Samaritans, I'M THE ONE WHO BROUGHT IT UP!

I know you did. And you didn't even get that right, as I pointed out.

You have ignored much of my earlier posts for which you seem to have no answer, so I leave you to believe what you will.

Oh, and your rant against Dennis Tate and his wife seems to me to be the product of a 'troubled' mind.

I know about Antioch Ephipanes and his desecration of the temple. YOU, SIMPLE ONE, SAID SOMETHING ABOUT GREEKS LEADING JEWS INTO CAPTIVITY OR SOMETHING, AFTER CYRUS FREED THEM. Now, you continue to bring up random events with no point to make yourself appear learned. You tried to mock the fact that YAH appointed and anointed Cyrus to free Israel and allow them to return home to Israel, by saying "if Cyrus was the messiah, why did they go back under the cosh 200 years later. HOW DO EXPECT ME TO RESPOND TO YOUR GIBBERISH. YOU JUST GOOGLE SOMETHING, READ WIKI A MINUTE, THEN COME AROUND BABBLING.

AND SHOW ME WHERE I DIDN'T GET THE SAMARITANS RIGHT. THEY FOLLOWED THE JEWS BACK TO ISRAEL PREETENDING TO BE JEWS.
SHOW ME WHERE YOU POINTED SOMETHING OUT THAT WAS WRONG.

Isaiah says Cyrus was anointed by YAH to free Israel. Even tho he didn't know YAH. SO WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO ACT LIKE YOU ARE SURPRIZED THAT HE WORSHIPPED MARDUK AT SOME POINT?

You lack a sound mind and really should stay off the internet. Next thing you know, youll be saying "well if jesus was the messiah why did hitler kill jews"? You are nothing but a googler and wiki reader, you need to get a comprehensive understanding of what you read on the internet.

That's like me saying to someone that they used to think the moon was made of green cheese if we were having a conversation about pluto. You just throw out some useless trivia without a point, and cast worthless aspersions. You are simply a scurrilous simpleton.

AND PLEASE, SIMPLE MINDED RETARD, PROVE TO US THAT CYRUS DIDN'T BELIEVE IN THE GOD OF ISRAEL.

obviously, truth to you is whatever you just sit around and make up. But I see that nobody takes you serious. So your babbling is harmless.
You ought to go occupy your time at the insane asylum coloring color books. You google and wiki people are a pest.

You are living proof that one cannot argue with a retard. You just babble, never have a point, and talk like your fantasy is fact.
You babble about the Tanakh and Maccabees when nobody even brought that or them up.
What the hell does Antiochus epiphanies have to do with Cyrus and freeing Israel to return to Israel? What, did you expect Cyrus to babysit jews forever? Please don't waste my time anymore. If you have a point, make it, otherwise leave your trivia book on the shelf.

For your information I very seldom use Wiki or Google. My posts are from years of study and discussion of the subject.

From the time that the Babylonians took over southern kingdom and took the southern Jews into captive to Babylon, until they fight the Seleucids about 400 years later and gain a short period of freedom, they are never free. They were not free under Cyrus. They only had a certain amount of autonomy, and religious freedom. They were not free when the Greeks took over from Cyrus. So the Greeks led them into captivity and Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated the temple and killed many of the inhabitants of Jerusalem in revenge for their rebellion when they thought him dead.

YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CLAIMED CYRUS PROBABLY FELT GODS HAND. You prove that.

What amazes me about your claim is that the God of the Tanakh hates sin and those who worship idols. Israel is called to show the world how God wants them to live. This is stated more than once by God. What sort of example is this. God using a man who worships idols. Hardly following his own instructions. If God can use an idolworshipper why should not his people.

Most Bible students can tell you what is wrong with your Samaritans comment. The 'Samaritans' were put in Samaria when the Jews were removed and scattered by the Assyrians. They didn't follow anyone in and claim to be Jews.
To 'follow' anyone in would have meant following the Babylonian Jews sent back by Cyrus 150 years later. And we know that wasn't the case. In case you don't believe it, look it up.

On what do you base your remark about people taking me seriously. Certainly not the replies to my post.

Would you like me to send you my trivia book. It makes more truth than your posts.

Now rant as much as you like, I'll post elsewhere where people know what they are talking about and we can discuss on equal terms.

Not only are you a maniac, you are a lying maniac.
You seem to be bothered by the fact that YAH chose Cyrus, Even though YAH says that he anointed Cyrus even though Cyrus didn't know him. Well, maybe you don't like Moses either, as Moses was a murderer on the run when YAH chose him. Maybe you don't approve of Isaiah and his potty mouth either.
Why don't you just wait until you die, then tell YAH that you object to him using people worse than you to do his will.
You have a lot of nerve to think that you can tell YAH who he can use and who he can't use.
I guess you think that Cyrus should have helped the jews and them only since YAH chose to anoint Cyrus to YAH's will.
Shame on Cyrus for freeing Babylonian captives and allowing religious freedom???
WHY DO YOU ASK ME "WHAT KIND OF EXAMPLE IS THIS"? BECAUSE YAH USED A MAN WHO WORSHIPPED IDOLS , HARDLY FOLLOWING HIS OWN INSTRUCTIONS.
TAKE YOUR BEEF UP WITH YAH.!!!!!
Maybe there was nobody around who didn't worship idols. If you read Isaiah 45, you will see that YAH chose Cyrus 150 years before Cyrus was born. You think Cyrus wasn't impressed at the prophesy when he saw that YAH chose him by name.?
Moses was raised in Egypt and most assuredly worshipped RA and other Egyptian gods. He didn't know YAH until he met Reuel, his father in law. the priest of midian. Midianites worshipped many gods, but Reuel worshipped YAH.
YAH doesn't use perfect people, they are too much like you.:fingerscrossed:

So I am a lying maniac. On what do you base your assertion.

What makes you think Moses existed? I don't happen to believe he did. Nor did the Exodus event happen. Science has proved much of the invasion of Palestine is 'made up'. The journey of 2,000,000+ Jews through the Sinai desert is an impossibility. 2,000,000+ walking through the sea in a night.

By the way your quote earlier 'Any rod that parts the red sea, and all the miracles in Egypt, could easily still continue to grow.' referring to Aarons rod shows your lack of learning. It was Moses Rod that was used to part the Sea. Aarons rod was later.
I note you didn't answer my revelation that the rod was missing by the time of Solomon. It wasn't in the Ark.

The difference between God using Moses and your assertion that God used Cyrus is simple. Moses accepted God when he learned of him and followed him faithfully. We have no evidence that Cyrus did, as he sacrificed in idol temples. David was Gods chosen, but when he sinned he had to repent before God could use him again. Solomon was punished for his sins in later life when God split the kingdom between his sons.
God doesn't use perfect people as we are told no-one is perfect, but once he has chosen them and they accept he expects them to be obedient.
Cyrus NEVER freed the Jews or those of other nations. I'm not going through it again.
Much of the Tanakh is written in retrospect.
I don't happen to believe that the Tanakh is either Gods word or correct in its 'facts'.

Your comprehension is sadly lacking. I'm not telling God who he can use or not. I am telling you what the Tanakh tells us.
I certainly applaud Cyrus for his lenient attitude to all men. Not the normal thing for ancient emperors.

The likelihood of him seeing the prophesy is remote, and anyway it is a copy of the same prophecy found in the Chronicle of Nabonidus (whom he beat in the battle for Babylon.) The Jews have changed it for their purpose.
In the Chronicle it tells us that Marduk was the one who chose Cyrus.

There is a lot of interchange between religious ideas in the ancient world.

Now this 'lying maniac' :roflol: will go and get some food.

Methinks you got some kind of "Tanakh- itis", or something. If you don't believe Moses existed, then whats the use?
I'm gonna have to look and see if this thread is about the Tanakh and King Cyrus' fitness for YAH to use him.
I think you strayed, maybe you should do yourself a favor and investigate the thread.
But hey, you got a pile of trivia cards and dang it, you gonna use em somehow.
I know a guy who has trivia cards too. You'd think that he was real smart, but the fact is, he don't know anything but those trivia card facts.
I see your name is Trevor, I feel sorry for your wife, she probably feels like fighting with you is like fighting with another woman.

You can insult me as much as you wish. It runs off my back. It does however show up your character.

I've simply been putting some knowledge your way as you seem to lack it. And I see you've ignored some of my points again which correct your errors.
And I see you've ignored the Marduk choice of Cyrus.
I find no evidence for anything before the start of the kings of Palestine. From then on we have evidence for much that which is written.

As for trivia cards. I have a cabinet full of studies that I have done over many years. Trivia cards are of no use to me, though the fact you keep mentioning them you must be familiar with them.

Trying to bring my wife into this shows the depths to which you will sink, as with someone else whose wife you insulted. You know nothing about me. I might have just lost my wife, or she might be ill.
As it happens I don't have a wife now. I have lived alone, of choice, since she went.

Now, as you have proved an unworthy, unlearned opponent I leave you to your own devices. And to do a bit more study.

You just love to throw that marduk (*)(*)(*)(*) up in the face of Cyrus and YAH, don't you? YAH made it clear in Isaiah 45 that he chose Cyrus even though Cyrus didn't know him. You have no idea as to when Cyrus worshipped marduk, and when he learned about the Isaiah prophesy.
And I said that I am willing to believe that when Cyrus heard it, he remembered someone holding his right hand when he was young.
It isn't far fetched for me to believe that YAH can easily take on a human body and form, come to the earth, and look people in the eye, and touch people he wants to touch.
I believe I myself have met him in person at some point. I have had an experience where after he left, I was shaken because it dawned on me that the person might have been YAH. The electric blue eyes and perfect voice shook me to the point that I was convinced it was YAH or a powerful angel. But I would never care to talk about that incident to another human - couldn't relate.

But, It makes me smile to say that I "saw eternity" in his blue eyes, and his voice was eternally memorable for its perfection. And the meeting only lasted seconds. I was paralyzed literally, until he was out of sight. Good thing too, because I am the type that would have tackled him and wrestled him to the ground so he couldn't leave - like Jacob did. The fact that he made my body unable to move convinces me that he knew that about me too.

Why do you have so much trouble with truth and staying on point? How did I insult your wife?
You are just a perverted liar who distorts what you read to the point that you confuse your stupid self.
Turns out, you don't even have a wife. You must be a democrat, you will say anything.
Try smoking pot, it does wonders for moments of clarity.

:roflol: I didn't say I had a wife - you did. I am not a democrat - I'm not even American. Never have said I am. You just assume things and make unfounded accusations.
I take it you smoke pot. You seem to know its effects. :clapping: Personally I have never had the need in 75 years to try anything like that. Perhaps that's why I haven't seen God.
As a one time Pastor when younger I spent many years studying the Bible and all aspects surrounding it. While I rejected Christianity as such I still retain the knowledge I learned from those studies, and have added to it over the years as an interest.

You STILL can't answer the points I made.

I wish you well in your future studies. May they give you true enlightenment.

We're all entitled to our opinions.

Crime (especially theft) drops over time. Living standards go up. Because we now have the ability to pass knowledge between generations with language and history humanity gets better at the game of life each generation.

Computers can't control people, people let computers control them. Just like they let governments control them, just like they let advertising control them, etc. Credit card fraud is a problem, but it's a very small subset within theft overall, which is consistantly declining. Sure, there are some bumps along the way - the recession in the 1970s increased crime - but it always catches back up with the average decline eventually.

I don't have such a pessimistic view of humanity's circumstances. Most of the elderly demographic's dislike of the youth demographic has existed for thousands of years.

Read newspaper letters to the editor today and they think computers have spoiled the younger generation. Read them 50 years ago and they were saying the same about the radio. Read them 100 years ago and they were saying the same about the car. Read them a couple of centuries ago and they were saying the same about the book and printing press. I'm sure if you went back a few thousand years the elderly were going on about the younger generation being spoiled by stone tablets. That's just how it goes.

Why would I have a problem with Marijuana? YAH created it by the word of his mouth [Yahushua], and looked at it and said "it is very good".
"Behold I have given you every green herb bearing seed after its own kind."
Marijuana was created by the word of YAH's mouth, and the word of his mouth was made flesh, and gave his life on the cross.
The one who produced marijuana is the one who was nailed to a tree. If you hate marijuana, you hate YAH and Yahushua, and if you use the Holy Spirit as your source, you blaspheme the Holy Spirit, being that if YAH was inspired by His Spirit to say "be" and Yahushua accomplished it.
Plus, YAH promises a "bud of renown" for his people. If you study the marijuana bud, you will find that the bud and entire plant is quite amazing.
It is great for relieving stress and anxiety while we live in satans kingdom here on earth.

I'm always amazed at how the jesus satans [blasphemers of the Holy Spirit and false anointed ones] are the ones who mock God by saying something is bad that he said is very good.
Anything can be abused. Coca and Poppy - created by YAH- are used as a painkiller for folks who live perhaps hundreds of miles from a drug store or doctor, and coca is chewed by people with dental pain in places where no dentists are, as well as an energy booster to work in hot and humid climates.

I thank God for marijuana and agree that it is very good, and I have taken the time to study how amazing the cannabis or hemp plant is.
I appreciate the bud of renown that YAH has provided.

Blasphemers of the Holy Spirit are quick to judge and condemn others whose sins were nailed to the cross, and they glory in their blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Which negates any hope of forgiveness and salvation.

I'm always ready to hear how they justify their jesus trash anyway. If YAH is the name of God, and Yahushua is the name of his son, and his name means "YAH IS SALVATION", what are you doing talking about someone named jesus.
Tyndale invented the name in 1526, and was strangled and burned at the stake for it.

The problem with jesus satans is that they have no clue where their bible came from. The roman emperor ordered it produced, YAH nor Yahushua never told anyone to make a bible. The people who produced it were never empowered by the Holy Spirit, because they paid for their position in the church thru Simony, named after the Father of Christianity, simon magus.

I would have to admit that our young people tend to lack the type of astonishing work ethic that would make them good at running farms......but ..... on the plus side....... I get the impression that the articles that I read about Indigo Children..... certainly applies to them!

The smoke of marijuana, like that of tobacco, consists of a toxic mixture of gases and particulates, many of which are known to be harmful to the lungs. Someone who smokes marijuana regularly may have many of the same respiratory problems that tobacco smokers do, such as daily cough and phlegm production, more frequent acute chest illnesses, and a greater risk of lung infections. Even infrequent marijuana use can cause burning and stinging of the mouth and throat, often accompanied by a heavy cough. One study found that extra sick days used by frequent marijuana smokers were often because of respiratory illnesses.6

In addition, marijuana has the potential to promote cancer of the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract because it contains irritants and carcinogens—up to 70 percent more than tobacco smoke. It also induces high levels of an enzyme that converts certain hydrocarbons into their cancer-causing form, which could accelerate the changes that ultimately produce malignant cells. And since marijuana smokers generally inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than tobacco smokers, the lungs are exposed longer to carcinogenic smoke. However, while several lines of evidence have suggested that marijuana use may lead to lung cancer, the supporting evidence is inconclusive.8 The presence of an unidentified active ingredient in cannabis smoke having protective properties—if corroborated and properly characterized—could help explain the inconsistencies and modest findings.
    Image of a red eye
Within a few minutes after inhaling marijuana smoke, an individual's heart rate speeds up, the bronchial passages relax and become enlarged, and blood vessels in the eyes expand, making the eyes look red.

A significant body of research demonstrates negative effects of THC on the function of various immune cells, both in vitro in cells and in vivo with test animals. However, no studies to date connect marijuana's suspected immune system suppression with greater incidence of infections or immune disorders in humans. One short (3-week) study found marijuana smoking to be associated with a few statistically significant negative effects on the immune function of AIDS patients; a second small study of college students also suggested the possibility of marijuana having adverse effects on immune system functioning. Thus, the combined evidence from animal studies plus the limited human data available seem to warrant additional research on the impact of marijuana on the immune system. Wrong again. Half the Bible was already in use (the Tanakh - or for your information - the Old Testament). Constantine simply brought together books that were in use, with the Tanakh, and formed one Volume. The OT presented the Jewish story and the NT presented the Christian story. Those books that were left out were mainly books that sought to present personal aggrandisement, or were written as stories for general consumption.
Modern example is the Da Vinci Code. This uses a Biblical basis and ties its story around it. Most of it is simply trash although names and places are falsely presented as true. Nevertheless an entertaining film.
Simon Magus. We know very little about him. If you take the NT story as true that is all we know about him. There is no other evidence of his existence. All we have is tradition from the 2nd century. One tradition has him doing all sorts of magic, flying through the air, contact with demons etc.

Simony was almost unknown in the first 3 centuries of the early church. It wasn't until the church started to gain wealth that it came to the fore. First real indication was 451CE when it was recognised and banned by the Council of Chalcedon.

Was this study done on the type of marijuana available back in the '70's that had low levels of THC or on the newer much more potent variations?

The time period of the Machabees is fascinating.

Rabbi Yeshua/ Jesus asked a question of the Scribes and Phraisees one time that I am fairly certain is based at least partly on the habit of the Greco- Syrian armies to attack Jewish towns on the Sabbath!

An apology to all members of the military and police!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just want to say that I am truly sorry for all those years that I was close to believing in near total pacifism! Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua once asked a question of the Scribes and Pharisees that should have made it obvious to me that an extreme situation can call for drastic action by a Christian or Jew who feels called into a life in the military or police!

I am almost certain that Rabbi Jesus/Yehoshua was referring to the situation faced by the Machabees when Greco - Syrian armies were attacking Jewish communities on the Sabbath.

One community had refused to fight back....but the Machabees....in my opinion correctly judged that this is a violation of an admonition by King Solomon:

Ecclesiastes 7:16 "Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?"

BadlandsLeprecheaun..... you sound like you listened quite a bit to my old mentors Mr. Garner Ted Armstrong and his dad Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong!

I am curious... how you would answer the following poll question:

Do you believe that some NDE accounts fit with scripture?

Yes, I believe that some NDE accounts are genuine meetings with the Messiah or angels. 6 26.09%

Maybe but perhaps some NDE accounts are of a meeting with Satan?! 6 26.09%

No, the near death experience accounts are mostly false and misleading. 9 39.13%

I don't know enough about this subject yet to express an opinion?! 3 13.04%

    My answer was:
"Yes, I believe that some NDE accounts are genuine meetings with the Messiah or angels."
