    "Likely!"

    :roflol:

Some people will believe anything but the truth.

And yeah - only World War III can *solve* this imaginary problem.

Democrats have been lusting for World War III since 2016.

    If not earlier.

Is "The economist is the only valid source in the whole wide world" what is taught in History class these days ?
Absurd gibberish to be sure but regardless.

America’s decision to send more arms to the rebels is by no means guaranteed to alter the dynamic of the civil war

Yes Dayton - even the mouthpiece for establishment propaganda "the Economist" reported on the arming of the rebels in Syria - as did most every other media outlet. Not some big secret - except to you it seems.

He's talking about Obama/McCain/Hillary running guns to ISIS. Which they did. Which caused the clusterf**k.

What do you have against "The Economist"?

The political divide in Washington will do and say what the lobbyists and pressure groups tell them to do and say. If they had integrity, they would never have been able to survive in Washington, so who gives a damn about them.

The only people that matters are the Syrian people, and they want Assad's secular, all inclusive and tolerant government. No one has the right to deny them that - Not Turkey, not Saudi Arabia, not Israel, not the US, Britain or France. No one!

I rather like the economist - it is one of my first choices when traveling by air - it is very good for a general synopsis of what is happening around the world. That doesn't mean it is without spin - have you not noticed ?

In any case - it is one source - one which is often valid.

What do you have against the testimony given before congress - or the declassified memo's from the DIA ? - other than your perspective and claim gets trashed.

So now that you know your beloved Obama lead a global coalition to arm support and supply the Holy Jihad and proxy war against Assad. - an action which led to the death of near 500,000, refugee - humanitarian crisis, genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity.

Not a proud Obama legacy moment - and that History has already been written.

Do you not know about Flynn ? - other than MSM - complete with sin of omission. Interesting how it is almost never mentioned - how Flynn is one of the smoking guns - one still firing off - proving Obama knew exactly what he was getting into.

But we don't need this - there are hundreds of articles .. including in the Economist - Obama announced publicly that he was arming the "Rebels" - and the covert program previous to this was an open secret at the time - regularly referred to by gov't officials.

Where do you get the idea that I had any liking for President Obama in the least? I loathed him just as I loathe President Trump (for different reasons). In my opinion while Obama occasionally did the right thing (like killing Bin Laden) overall he was a terrible president.

Are you seriously comparing Trump to Hitler? I thought Trump supporters didn't like that.

I'm not ignorant of my country's misdeeds, but as Churchill once observed, democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.

So, again I ask, why are you living in the United States of America when you so clearly hate it? Would you not be happier in Moscow?

Not unsubstantiated. Our intelligence people found wire transfers from known Russian intelligence accounts to Taliban leaders.

Trump knew about this and said nothing to Putin, did nothing to stop it, took no punitive actions against Putin, and instead is still whining for Russian to let back into the G8, as well as promising Putin that he would reduce our troops in Germany, somethin Putin has wanted for decades.

Why should Putin care about a handful of U.S. troops in Germany? I think Putin is as delusional as people have accused Trump of being. Putin is a short, little man who likes to strut around shirtless and pretend he leads an actual world power.

The reality is that without its leftover nuclear weapons, no one would care about Russia one way or the other.

Where are those vids Jen.....please provide?

Unbiased, real time, credible links. Nothing from any .RU toilet or some Arabic rag of a news outlet.

And it wasn't like we didn't have any great opportunities to do so.

I had to criticize Obama over this. He had us involved in Syria's internal conflict, but in a very half-assed way that wasn't accomplishing anything. He should have acted decisively and taken Assad out while keeping the filthy Russians out. He likewise failed with Crimea by standing back, complaining and authorizing sanctions, but not taking meaningful action that would force Russia out of there.

Of course, the current so-called administration has done no better! Trump has handed Syria to Assad, Putin and Erdogan on a platter, and Crimea is still long gone while Trump praises and defends Putin at every turn. NATO is neutered with Trump attacking it more than Russia.

I think you underestimate old Vlad. Russia is now ruled by a dictator who was a Lt. Colonel in the KGB. He's canny and sneaky, and is working a long game. Reducing our presence in Europe works to his advantage. And it isn't just troops, it's weapons, tanks, staging areas for drone surveillance, etc. in proximity to Russia.

Well maybe there's more to it than what you know and think you know. Wire transfers of course are not definitive of anything in particular. So maybe the intel is looking for a more direct tie such as conversation or correspondence. And you don't know what conversations or topics Trump has or hasn't discussed with Putin. In short, your exuberance in faulting Trump exceeds your evidence of any wrong doing by him.

Yes. I remember when Washington had 100% positive proof that Sadam had WMD's. They were so sure about it that they even made up phoney bugged telephone conversations, fake satellite photos, and infiltrated the first inspection team with CIA spies .... just in case. :cynic:

It looks that way alright. But hey, with Trump "wrappin' his arms around Putin" (Maxine Waters' words, not mine) then I guess you can make up any kind of story to make Trump look bad.

Oh, spare me the dramatic balderdash. George Bush Sr. was director of the CIA for christ's sake. I don't hear you bad-mouthing the U.S. for doing some of the same crap that others do.

George Bush (not Sr. as that isn't part of his name) was only director of the CIA in a largely symbolic fashion. The CIA coming out of the Watergate era had its reputation severely damaged and Bush was known as someone with "clean hands" so his appointment was seen as a way of helping "rehabilitate" the CIA.

If Maxine Waters told me water was wet I wouldn't believe her until I held her head under the surface for an hour or so.

If he doesn't bother to read the daily briefings, who know what he knee a year ago when the intelligence community first included it. What we do know is that even if he wasn't aware before, he has certainly become aware in the past week, and has stated that it's a hoax. He uses that word for everything he either doesn't want to know about, or doesn't was us to know about.

At least our troops are now fully aware, thanks to the New York Times.
