Russians here have already told you what is not fake. These so-called politicians are zero ones. They have a huge support in western media and zero support in Russian society.

And, of course, you can paint pink pictures of millions of intimidated Russians which hope and wait for some Kara-Murza, or somebody like Yeltsin's boy Nemtsov, who would come and bring them a shining freedom - right from the Capitol on Pennsylvania Avenue.

But listen to me. The NYT and others are lying to you. That will never happen.

I can only think of one event that you'd call an anti-Jewish Pogrom in the USA, and that's the Crown Heights Riots, but that clearly wasn't done by typical Americans, it was done clearly by Black-Caribbean's.

 

Jewish Pogroms in Russia ended in 1922. Jews were discriminated in USSR to some degree -- but less then African Americans and Native Americans in USA.

I still highly doubt, that acts of RF's government are dictated by greed or purely criminal intent. They deliberately worked against Federation's citizens for sixteen years, in my opinion. That rather gives me impression that they serve interests of foreigners, than their own. Otherwise they might have bothered securing safe future for the country, not turned it into geopolitical scarecrow.

 

That can count like an insult, unless in Autralia being bought by state is a normal, regular thing. Which I doubt.

And speaking of media - they lie. They aways do, it's their job. They do not pass information between people, they adjust it to serve needs of their employers of sponsors, most commonly - the state in which this media enterpise is located.

Thus, whenever you deal with media, if you find something that interests you, recheck it yourself, in various sources - including the sources from country where thing of interest has happened. They may be closer to truth, than foreign media, depending on scale and significance of event.

 

You had such acts against the negros and remaining native population, detained japanese citizens of USA during the WWII in internment camps.

Jews are not the only group opressed in the world. And yes, we too do not do such things anymore. Do not mix the acts of spontageous civil violence towards specific ethnic group and actions of government towards specific individuals. Not to mention that Joseph Stalin - attitude does not affects the correct grammar form of individual's name, nor makes their criminal alias automatically known to members of discussion - was a dictator, and acted as one. His actions cannot be considered being equal to attitude of people who lived in Soviet state during his presence in various forms of leading administrative seat of country.
