Saudi Arabia didn't fund them.. KSA went thru that blowback when they stopped funding AQ in the US proxy war with the Soviets in Afghanistan.. over 20 years ago.. Don't believe the rubbish you read in the western press. They just speculate like some circle jerk and quote each other.

Of course Saud was funding them and it is no secret despite how much you want to cover ears, eyes, nose and any other orifice that might let the bad news in while standing on soapbox crying "NO NO NO"

Your continued unsupported apology for these supporters terrorism is lame nonsense.

No they haven't.. King Fahd's legacy was that he built mosques for existing Muslim communities worldwide. They didn't hire clerics.

They also endowed US universities, built storm shelters, built playgrounds in Texas and donated $350 million to NOLA hospitals after Katrina. They gave $30 million to Gulf Shrimpers, built colleges in Yemen and have been providing rice to Sudan for over a decade. The list goes on and on.

What does funding US universities and building storm shelters in Texas have to do the Saud funding extremism ?

The US does all kinds of good things as well but, this does not change the fact that they were funding extremist Islamics in a proxy war against Assad.

I want Assad to win because I don't support terrorist barbarians taking over Syria. Assad is not a threat to America and his enemies are. There is no need to complicate the situation with references to fictitious "moderate" groups. They simply don't exist in any real sense. All the "moderates" in Syria are fighting FOR Assad's secular government, not against it. Everything we've been told by the US government and its media mouthpieces is a lie.

Everyone except the most abject simpletons and liars know that Saudi Arabia is the biggest terrorist supporting country in the world, and that the US government is totally fine with this arrangement. AQ and ISIS are just convoluted proxy groups for western plutocrats to unleash on their enemies and to provide them with an endless pretext for war and domestic police statism. Or is it just a coincidence that AQ and ISIS have exploded onto the scene in virtually every country where the US government intervenes? Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc. All these countries have been intentionally destabilized by the US government and all of them turned into havens for AQ and ISIS. Either they are the most incompetent, worthless morons in history or they're doing it on purpose. Even that scumbag Petraeus said the US should support "moderates" in AQ. Moderates in AQ, he says!

And you know this from your perch in Missouri?

KSA deliberated for 2 weeks about supporting al Nusra several years ago and backed out because they were too savage.

It wasn't until my government began supporting the rebels in Syria, that I became disgusted with Washington. I knew Syrians, and I knew how proud they were about Syria and the way it had become. I also knew how tolerant Assad was compared to others in the Middle East...yet rather than supporting him, my government began supporting the Turkish and Saudi supported jihadists, who would massacre everyone if they managed to enter Damascus. Washington knew this and they didn't care.

Obama was even ready to bomb Damascus on false pretenses to help them do it. ..something which is very reminiscent of Clinton's bombing of Belgrade for 78 days also on false pretenses.

That said there are some legitimate opposition groups to Assad, and they have been working with Russia in forming a new constitution. They are also fighting ISIS. The ones the Saudis want in the peace talks are terrorists...and they have no place in Geneva. Yet in order to keep the talks going, Russia and Damascus are allowing them to take part.

In the signed agreement it specifies that the fight against terrorism will continue during the talks, yet when the Russians began bombing the terrorists, those at the talks walked out.

Was it that, or was it because they wanted to topple the King?

    Most Saudis love their king..

You do know that several million Syrians fled Syria in mid 2011 to Jordan, the GCC states and Turkey because of Assad's barrel bombs..

Are you still in touch with your Syrian friends and are they still in Syria?

The Saudis don't fund extremism.. they have been victims of extremism.. They put people in jail for the takfiri doctrine.

You keep yapping the same thing over and over again but never back up what you say nor refute evidence to the contrary.

Perhaps your definition of extremism does not include strict sharia loving jihadists. Not sure what it is but you are definitely on some other page.

Follow the news day to day.. You can read.

You don't know what Sharia law is anywhere .. much less in Arabia .. nor do you know that the last 4 kings have been reformers.. and you have no clue how seriously these guys take the future of the Saudi people and their welfare.

Naw ... I only know that they still stone women for adultery

Woman to be stoned to death for adultery in Saudi Arabia - while male partner to receive 100 lasheshttp://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/woman-stoned-death-adultery-saudi-6912835

They crucify teens for participating in protests asking for more religious freedoms

Teenager to be BEHEADED and crucified in Saudi Arabia for attending anti-government protest aged 15http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/teenager-beheaded-crucified-saudi-arabia-7032940

Religion does not influence law in Saud according to you but, if one actually reads the news

A Saudi Arabian man has been sentenced to three years in jail and 450 lashes after he was caught using Twitter to arrange dates with other men
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...shes-for-meeting-men-via-twitter-9628204.html

Sure Margot. I give you link after link stating how Saud has been funding extremists (oh sorry... your definition of extremist does not include strict sharia jihadists) after which you put hands over eyes and cry "NO NO NO" ... and I am the one who does not follow the news.

Why don't you do your homework and get the details of each case? Then we'll talk.

You seem to be seeking simplicity ("no need to complicate") for no other reason than it makes your decision feel morally right. (*)(*)(*)(*) ain't that simple.

Yes, it's a good thing when the Russians bomb al-Qaeda and the Syrian Army kills Islamists. But for them to do that, you have to sacrifice the non-Islamist rebels, because they fight together. If feeling that they're traitors who deserve to die for working with Jihadists makes you feel better fine. That doesn't make it black and white.

Spare me your apology for Religious extremism. What details in relation to " Woman to be Stoned for Adultery" do you need ? I gave you the link.

Your attempts to dodge the obvious are verging on pathetic.

The Mirror is a notorious tabloid like National Enquirer.. that you see in the check out line.. Follow up on the adjudication of the case. They don't stone people in Arabia.

Again you lie to protect the backward assed Kingdom. As recent as last year a woman was sentenced to death by stoning. Of course international pressure got the courts to reconsider. Doesn't change the fact that KSA stones people to death for adultry by rule of law.

    http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/...ng-sentence-saudi-arabia-151223130722929.html

On a side note, news from shady sources is all you get sometimes from KSA, since KSA controls the media and no one , including you , can speak badly about the laws without being arrested for sedation.

KSA is dying. Yemen and Iran can go for the long haul, but KSA has no man power to last for this decades long war Iran and Yemen are waging. Spread thin and seeing defeat after defeat after retreat and more retreats, KSA is now begging for American bodies to die for the Kingdom. A desperate plea for a bailout without bowing down and begging. Still trying to save face in defeat. Pathetic and weak, brave just like millions of fighting age men looking for love and welfare in the EU.
